Abstract

This study aims to develop a learning model for basic pencak silat techniques specifically designed for children aged 10–12 years. This model is based on a motor learning approach that includes three stages: the cognitive stage (understanding movements), the associative stage (practice with correction), and the automation stage (fluent movements without thinking). This study uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method which is implemented through four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were 10 students from a pencak silat training center in City Medan. The training process was carried out for four weeks with a schedule of two to three times per week, covering material on horse stances, stances, punches, blocks, and movement combinations. Data were collected through technique observation sheets, physical tests (including balance, strength, coordination, and flexibility), and motivation questionnaires. The results of the study showed a significant increase in students' mastery of techniques and motor skills. The average motor test score increased from 60 to 78. In addition, students became more confident, active, and enthusiastic in participating in training. In conclusion, this gradual learning model is effectively applied in basic level pencak silat training and can be a reference for PJOK teachers and beginner pencak silat trainers.

Abstract

This study aims to design innovative business strategies using the Business Model Canvas (BMC) approach for an underpriced skincare store in Medan. A descriptive qualitative approach was used to identify the store's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats through a SWOT analysis integrated into the nine BMC elements. Research data was obtained through in-depth interviews with the owner, employees, suppliers, and customers. The results show that the store has advantages in competitive prices, responsive service through the role of beauty advisors, and the presence of multiple digital sales channels. However, limitations were found in the absence of a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and dependence on a single e-commerce platform, which are strategic concerns for future business development. Recommended strategic innovations include developing a customer loyalty system, utilizing the TikTok Shop platform, and diversifying market segments. The implementation of BMC accompanied by a SWOT analysis has been proven to produce relevant, adaptive, and sustainable strategic alternatives to improve business performance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model on students' creative thinking skills in the fourth grade science subject of SD Negeri 091264 Dolok Malela. This study used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental method and a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this study were all 22 fourth grade students. The research instrument was a descriptive test compiled based on four indicators of creative thinking, namely fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. Data were analyzed using the N-Gain test and paired sample t-test. The results showed that there was an increase in the average score of creative thinking skills on all indicators after the application of the CPS model. The average posttest score was higher than the pretest, with the average N-Gain being in the moderate category. The paired sample t-test showed a significance value of less than 0.05, which means there was a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results. These findings indicate that the CPS model is effective in improving students' creative thinking skills. Thus, the Creative Problem-Solving learning model can be used as an alternative science learning strategy that can encourage students to think more creatively, actively, and independently in solving problems. This model is also relevant for application in thematic learning contexts in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether or not there is an influence of the Teams Games Tournament learning model on the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 091496 Pematang Tanah Jawa. This type of research is quantitative research. Data collection techniques used in this study are tests and documentation. The test technique used in this study is using multiple-choice questions as a pre-test and post-test which are worth (1) if the answer is correct and worth (0) if the answer is wrong. The test is given before and after the treatment. Data analysis techniques are carried out by normality tests and hypothesis tests. The results of the t-test show that t count is 18.460, while t table is 1.711 with a significant level (2-tailed). Because the t count value (18.460) is greater than t table (1.711), it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Teams Games Tournament learning model on the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 091496 Pematang Tanah Jawa. Thus, H? is accepted and H? is rejected.

Abstract

German is one of the foreign languages ??studied in Indonesia, but listening skills (Hörverstehen) are often considered the most difficult part to master. This problem arises from the distinctive accents of native speakers, the high speaking speed, and the use of words not always found in textbooks. This study aims to determine the extent to which the use of German-language films can help improve students' listening skills. The method used was a review of five previous relevant studies. The review results indicate that German-language films can have a positive impact on improving listening skills. This can aid comprehension of the material, while expanding vocabulary and increasing enthusiasm for learning. Furthermore, films help create a more creative, enjoyable, and contextual learning environment. Thus, German-language films can be considered an effective learning tool, especially when used actively and appropriately to students' abilities.

Abstract

The ability to understand audio conversations is an essential competency in learning German at the B1 level. However, many students still experience difficulties in understanding authentic conversations delivered through audio media. This study aims to analyze the factors causing these difficulties and identify their implications for the learning process. The research method used was a qualitative approach with content analysis techniques, through the administration of listening tests and the use of audio sources from digital platforms. The results showed that the main obstacles for students were the speed of native speakers' speech, limited vocabulary, dialect differences, and the lack of adequate learning media such as headsets. Furthermore, the lack of independent practice and access to German audio content also exacerbated students' inability to grasp the full context of conversations. This condition led to low student confidence and the emergence of a gap between classroom abilities and real-life communication needs. This study recommends increasing the provision of relevant audio media, teacher training in Hörverstehen learning strategies, and the habituation of intensive practice based on authentic contexts. Thus, the results of this study can serve as a basis for developing more effective learning strategies to improve German listening skills at the B1 level.
