Abstract

This study aims to analyze and integrate three strategic pillars essential to strengthening the competitiveness of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs): operational management, digital marketing, and product innovation. The research adopts a case study of Hafiza Fried Chicken (HFC) as a representative culinary MSME operating in the digital economy era. The study is grounded in the urgency of enhancing MSMEs’ adaptive capacity toward digital transformation and managerial efficiency to ensure business sustainability. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed through field studies and in-depth interviews, supported by direct observation of HFC’s operational systems and digital marketing activities during a five-week intensive mentoring process. Data were analyzed thematically, emphasizing the integration of cross-functional managerial processes within the frameworks of the Resource-Based View (RBV) and Dynamic Capabilities Theory (DCT). The findings reveal that integrating standardized operational management systems with data-driven digital marketing strategies enhances efficiency and service consistency, thereby strengthening customer trust. The implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and digital recording systems reinforces quality control while providing a foundation for informed decision-making. Meanwhile, product innovation developed through the observation of consumer preferences on social media successfully generates value differentiation, contributing to increased revenue and customer loyalty. The integrative model resulting from this research highlights that the synergy between operational efficiency, adaptive digital strategies, and sustainable product innovation serves as a critical determinant of MSME sustainability in the digital economy. Theoretically, the study underscores the importance of a cross-functional management approach as a form of strategic alignment between internal resources and external market dynamics. Practically, it emphasizes the need to strengthen managerial capacity and digital literacy among MSME actors to facilitate their transformation from traditional orientations toward innovation- and data-driven business models. This study offers an empirical contribution to the development of an integrative MSME model in Indonesia, grounded in efficiency, creativity, and sustainability.

Abstract

Aligning vocational schools with the business and industrial world is a crucial need in facing the dynamics of the Industrial Revolution 5.0, which is characterized by advances in smart technology and demands for an adaptive and innovative workforce. This study aims to analyze strategies for aligning vocational education with the needs of technology-based industries through a systematic literature review of 45 national and international articles published in 2015–2025. Articles were selected based on inclusion criteria relevant to the themes of vocational curriculum, industrial work practices, skills development, and school–industry partnerships. Contributions to novelty(novelty)This research emphasizes the integration of soft skills, digital literacy, and smart technology-based industrial partnerships in vocational alignment strategies. This focus complements previous research that generally still emphasizes aspects of the curriculum or conventional field work practices. The results of the study indicate that effective alignment includes four main aspects: developing a competency-based curriculum that is responsive to industry dynamics, implementing relevant internships and work practices, strengthening soft skills such as communication, leadership, and critical thinking, and building sustainable partnerships with the digital technology-based business world. Strong synergy between vocational schools and industry has proven to be a key factor in preparing graduates who are work-ready, globally competitive, and able to innovate in the era of advanced technology. This research recommendation emphasizes the need for an adaptive and sustainable alignment strategy, especially through the integration of digital literacy, 21st-century skills, and industry 5.0 collaboration networks, so that vocational education becomes increasingly relevant in supporting the development of superior human resources for the advancement of the national economy and industry.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of social capital on the business resilience of Sasirangan artisans in Banjarmasin City. The research is motivated by an identified research gap, namely the limited empirical studies on the role of social capital in culture-based micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Most previous studies have focused on large corporations or formal sectors, while traditional MSMEs such as Sasirangan remain underexplored. Using a quantitative approach with a causal explanatory design, this study involved 21 artisan respondents and analyzed the data through the Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. The findings reveal that social capital, which consists of norms, networks, and trust, has a significant contribution to business resilience with an R² value of 0.873. This indicates that 87.3% of the variation in business resilience can be explained by the strength of social capital. Theoretically, these findings emphasize the importance of social capital as a non-financial factor in shaping MSME resilience models. Practically, strengthening community norms, expanding networks, fostering trust, and integrating digitalization are key strategies to reinforce artisans’ resilience. The novelty of this study lies in its empirical evidence that social capital is not merely a supporting factor but a key determinant of business sustainability in creative, culture-based industries.

Abstract

Digital transformation has fundamentally altered the consumption behavior of the younger generation, particularly Generation Z, who are digital natives. In the context of the cosmetics industry, this phenomenon is evident among Emina consumers in Malang City, who exhibit high engagement with digital promotions but do not always translate this engagement into actual purchase decisions. This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy, digital payment adoption, and promotional strategies on consumer purchase decisions, with shopping behavior as a mediating variable, based on the Stimulus–Organism–Response (SOR) model. The research employs a quantitative approach using an explanatory research design. Data were collected through a survey of 385 Generation Z respondents who use Emina products, selected via purposive sampling. Analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to examine both direct and indirect relationships among the variables. The results indicate that digital payment adoption and promotional strategies have a positive and significant effect on purchase decisions, both directly and through the mediation of shopping behavior. Conversely, financial literacy does not have a significant influence, indicating the dominance of emotional and technological factors over cognitive considerations in Gen Z's consumption behavior. This study extends the SOR model by affirming the role of shopping behavior as a psychological mediator and expands the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) into the realm of digital consumption behavior. Practically, the findings offer guidance for the cosmetics industry and fintech developers in designing more emotionally resonant, interactive, and adaptive promotional strategies and payment systems aligned with the behavior of the younger generation.

Abstract

In an era characterized by increasing sedentary behaviours and rising childhood obesity rates, the role of school based physical education (PE) has never been more pivotal. This paper examines how structured physical education curricula within schools can optimize physical fitness outcomes for students. Drawing on existing research and frameworks, the study explores the key components of effective PE curricula, mechanisms by which they influence physical fitness, implementation challenges, and policy implications. The evidence indicates that when PE curricula are thoughtfully designed incorporating consistent frequency, diversity of activities, fitness oriented objectives, and alignment with health literacy they contribute to enhanced cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength, bone health and motor skills. However, achieving these outcomes requires appropriate resources, trained educators, and system level support. The paper concludes with recommendations for educators, administrators and policymakers to maximize the benefits of PE within the school context.

Abstract

Out-of-wedlock pregnancies in Seruyan Regency are stigmatised and punished according to customary law. This issue often leads to social exclusion, gossip, forced marriages, and the obligation to pay singers as a customary sanction for allegedly violating morals and traditional norms. The aim of this study is to investigate the imposition of singers on women with out-of-wedlock pregnancies and its impact on their social and psychological lives. This research was conducted through an empirical approach involving participatory observation, literature study, and semi-structured interview methods. The results indicate that customer singers are more social and informal, and women experience greater stigma. Among the effects that arise are the loss of the right to choose a partner, neglect within marriage, delay in education, and expulsion from the community. The community views this as a way to preserve family dignity and village reputation however, the implementation of sanctions tends to contradict

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and empirically test the simultaneous and partial effects of Digital Training, Transformational Leadership, and Workplace Well-being on Employee Retention in a private retail company amidst the massive digital transformation. The high rate of employee turnover in the retail sector requires a retention strategy that is adaptive to the demands of technology and the modern workforce. This quantitative study uses a causal approach. Data were collected through distributing questionnaires to 75 employee respondents of PT Retail Nusantara, then analyzed using Multiple Linear Regression analysis. The results show that Digital Training, Transformational Leadership, and Workplace Well-being simultaneously have a significant effect on Employee Retention (F_{count}=42.781, Sig. 0.000). Partially, Digital Training (t=4.875) is proven to be the variable with the most dominant influence, followed by Transformational Leadership and Workplace Well-being. The coefficient of determination shows the contribution of the three variables is 68.2% to employee retention. This study provides critical empirical evidence for HR management that in the digital era, investing in improving employees' technological competencies through Digital Training programs is the most effective retention strategy, which must be integrated with a supportive leadership style and policies that ensure work-life balance.
