Abstract This study analyzes the influence of religiosity on tax compliance with the moderating role of tax knowledge and the mediating role of tax awareness in the community of Nias Island. Using the Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) approach, the results show that religiosity is an important determinant that drives intrinsic moral motivation to fulfill tax obligations voluntarily and ethically. Religiosity also increases tax awareness by internalizing fiscal obligations as a moral responsibility, strengthening civic engagement based on spiritual values. Tax awareness is found to be the main factor encouraging compliance, with conscious recognition of the social function and development role of taxes. In contrast, tax knowledge does not play a significant role as a moderating variable in the relationship between religiosity, awareness, and compliance. These findings indicate that moral mechanisms and awareness are more dominant than technical understanding in shaping taxpayer behavior. Furthermore, tax awareness mediates the influence of religiosity on compliance, reinforcing the importance of moral and spiritual values in promoting compliant behavior. The practical implications emphasize the need for developing tax education and policies focused on moral and awareness-based approaches.

This study examines the influence of financial behavior, financial literacy, and financial management behavior on the financial well-being of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Lhokseumawe, Indonesia, with a particular focus on the mediating role of financial stress. This study is a quantitative study using a purposive sampling technique with a sample of 145 respondents (MSME owners) in Lhokseumawe. The data source comes from primary data obtained through questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is PLS-SEM with SmartPLS software. The results show that financial behavior and financial management behavior have a significant positive influence on financial well-being, while financial stress has a negative impact on financial well-being. Financial stress mediates the relationship between financial behavior and financial well-being, as well as between financial management behavior and financial well-being. These findings underscore the importance of promoting good financial practices and stress management among MSMEs to improve their financial well-being and contribute to local economic development.

This study aims to examine the influence of mentoring management, productive financing, and Islamic financial inclusion on the welfare of sustainable halal MSMEs in Lhokseumawe City. The research approach uses a descriptive quantitative method, where primary data is collected through distributing questionnaires to halal MSMEs selected using a purposive sampling technique. Descriptive data analysis methods are carried out using multiple linear regression to determine the partial and overall effects between variables and their relationships. The findings of this study are expected to show that effective management mentoring, easy access to productive financing, as well as financial inclusion and participation in Islamic finance contribute positively to improving the welfare of halal MSMEs in Lhokseumawe City. The original value of this study lies in the analysis of the integration of three key factors of Islamic economic empowerment in one empirical model that has not been widely carried out in local contexts such as Lhokseumawe. In addition, the results of this study provide practical implications for strengthening regional policies, Islamic financial institutions, and mentoring institutions in designing appropriate and value-based interventions to support the sustainability of halal MSMEs. The results of the study indicate that partially, the variables of productive financing and Islamic financial inclusion significantly influence the welfare of halal MSMEs in Lhokseumawe City, while mentoring management does not show a significant effect, although the direction of the influence is positive. However, simultaneously, the third variable significantly influences the welfare of halal MSMEs, with a contribution of 64.1% (Adjusted R² = 0.641). This study offers theoretical and practical contributions by integrating three elements of Islamic economic empowerment within a comprehensive conceptual framework. These findings reinforce the importance of a holistic, sharia-based approach in efforts to improve the economic welfare of marginalized communities. The implications of this study encourage Islamic financial institutions to not only focus on the financing aspect, but also strengthen their educational and social functions through mentoring and improving financial literacy.

Jakarta, as the capital city and the center of gravity of Indonesia, is highly vulnerable to modern aerial threats. Its dense population, the presence of government institutions, vital infrastructures, and its role as the nation's political, economic, and diplomatic hub make Jakarta a strategic target for drone attacks and aerial strikes. These threats are asymmetric in nature—fast, precise, difficult to detect, and cost-effective—thus requiring the strengthening of an adaptive and integrated air defense system. This study employs a qualitative descriptive-analytical approach through literature reviews, policy document analysis, and comparative case studies of international practices. The findings reveal that integrating advanced radar technology, early warning systems, Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS), and the readiness of the Indonesian Air Force are crucial in establishing a layered air defense system in Jakarta. These efforts align with Indonesia's total defense doctrine, emphasizing cross-sector synergy, military-civil collaboration, and defense diplomacy to safeguard national stability.

This study investigates the determinants of Green Foreign Direct Investment (Green FDI) in Indonesia by examining the effects of energy subsidies and the globalization index on Green FDI inflows. Panel data from six major investor countries during the 2020–2024 period were employed to test the research hypotheses. The results indicate that both energy subsidies and the globalization index have a positive and significant effect on Green FDI in Indonesia. These findings suggest that government policies supporting renewable energy and facilitating global economic integration play a key role in attracting environmentally sustainable investment. The study provides policy implications for decision-makers aiming to promote renewable energy development and advance Indonesia’s transition toward a low-carbon economy.

This article analyzes the recontextualization of the Non-Aligned principle in Indonesia’s foreign policy underPresident Prabowo Subianto, using his speech at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) 2025as a case study. The focus of this research is how Indonesia’s free and active principle is reinterpreted within thedynamics of a multipolar geopolitical order and growing rivalries among major powers. This study is significant asit demonstrates that the Non-Aligned principle is no longer a mere historical symbol but an adaptive diplomaticstrategy that strengthens Indonesia’s position as an independent and constructive middle power. Employing thetheoretical frameworks of Foreign Policy Analysis (FPA), Middle Power Diplomacy, and Role Theory, the studyadopts a qualitative-descriptive method with a case study approach and applies discourse and content analysistechniques. Data were obtained from the President’s official speech, SPIEF documents, and credible media reports. The findings reveal that President Prabowo’s speech reflects Indonesia’s commitment to active neutralitymaintaining political and military non-alignment while proactively promoting peaceful solutions and cross-bloccooperation. The revitalization of the Non-Aligned principle thus represents Indonesia’s adaptive diplomaticstrategy to preserve sovereignty and global relevance amid contemporary geopolitical shifts. Keywords: Foreign Policy, Global Diplomacy, Middle Power, Non-Aligned, Prabowo

Purpose – This study aims to formulate an effective and sustainable subcontractor competency management strategy at PT Mutiara Tanjung Lestari, a heavy equipment and hauling services company in Kalimantan. Methodology – The research approach used was descriptive qualitative with thematic analysis and exploratory SWOT analysis methods. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews with five key informants from management and subcontractors. Findings – The results of the thematic analysis indicate that the main obstacles lie in suboptimal onboarding, irregular technical training, weak supervision of SOP-K3, and the lack of consistent evaluation and feedback mechanisms. The SWOT results indicate that the company's strategic position is in Quadrant II (Weakness-Opportunity), so the recommended strategy is diversification, namely utilizing external opportunities to overcome internal weaknesses. This study produces four alternative strategies for managing subcontractor competencies that can be implemented in an integrated manner. Originality – These findings are expected to be a practical reference in developing subcontractor management in the mining services sector

Critical thinking skills are one of the key competencies emphasized in the Merdeka Curriculum to develop Profil Pelajar Pancasila, students who are independent, reflective, and capable of collaborative problem-solving. However, classroom practices in Indonesian primary schools are still largely dominated by teacher-centered approaches, leaving limited space for students to exercise critical thinking. This study aims to describe the role of collaborative learning models in developing the critical thinking abilities of primary school students within the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed in a public elementary school in Indonesia. Data were collected through participant observations, in-depth interviews with teachers and students, and document analysis of lesson plans and students’ learning outcomes. The data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The findings reveal that the implementation of collaborative learning models such as group discussions and the Think-Pair-Share strategy, played an important role in fostering active learning interactions, encouraging students to express their opinions confidently, and enhancing their critical thinking skills through activities of interpretation, analysis, and evaluation. These results highlight the essential role of teachers as facilitators in systematically managing collaborative learning processes in alignment with the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum.

This study presents a Quality Assurance (QA) framework for simulator development, integrating the theories of Total Quality Management (TQM), ISO 25010, Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), and Agile Quality Assurance. A systematic literature review (SLR) was conducted on peer-reviewed publications and internationally accredited standards in Scopus from 2020 to 2025. The results of the review indicate that QA for simulator development must be multidimensional: user-oriented design, continuous improvement, software reliability, verification and validation (V&V), and data-driven feedback. The proposed QA framework was validated through benchmarking of best practices and the latest industry standards, with the aim of improving the reliability and effectiveness of next-generation simulators.
