This article describes how road damage affects greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The object of this study is the 2 km East Kendal National Road, divided into 40 segments. To measure road damage, the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) method was used, while to measure greenhouse gas emissions, the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) method was used. There are three important findings in this study. First, the East Kendal National Road section is generally in poor to very poor condition with an average Pavement Condition Index (PCI) value of 33.83. Second, road damage affects the average speed of vehicles. Third, vehicle speed affects the amount of GHG emissions. When vehicle speed decreases due to road damage, fuel efficiency is reduced, so that CO₂, CH₄, and N₂O emissions increase. The results of the correlation analysis show a value of R = 0.648 for CO₂, R = 0.613 for CH₄, and R = 0.613 for N₂O, which means there is a fairly strong positive relationship between the level of road damage and greenhouse gas emissions. The conclusion is that the lower the PCI value (the more severe the road damage), the lower the average vehicle speed, and the lower the PCI, the higher the GHG emissions, namely CO₂, CH₄, and N₂O.

This study aims to analyze the implementation of public services for vulnerable groups at the Balikpapan City Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency (DPMPTSP). Vulnerable groups include people with disabilities, the elderly, pregnant women, and low-income communities, who often face various obstacles in accessing public services. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive-analytical methods. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews with DPMPTSP officers, vulnerable groups, and relevant stakeholders, direct observation of the service process, and analysis of documents related to public service policies. The results indicate that the Balikpapan City DPMPTSP has implemented several service innovations, such as priority counters and online services, to facilitate vulnerable groups. However, several obstacles remain, such as limited human resources who understand the special needs of vulnerable groups, infrastructure that is not yet fully disability-friendly, and a digital divide that impacts access to online services. This study recommends increasing human resource capacity through sensitivity training for vulnerable groups, improvements to physical and digital infrastructure, and collaboration with community organizations to ensure inclusive and equitable public services. Implementing these recommendations is expected to improve the quality of public services and ensure that vulnerable groups' rights to access public services are fulfilled.

The post-pandemic workforce demands a fundamental reset, moving beyond the outdated transactional employment model. Chronic disengagement and burnout, fueled by traditional profit-centric paradigms, reveal a critical need to redefine organizational success. This article argues that building an empathetic organization—one that strategically prioritizes psychological safety, holistic well-being, and human-centered leadership—is the essential strategy for achieving sustainable performance and competitive advantage in the modern era. Employing a qualitative, synthesizing approach, we analyze multidisciplinary evidence from organizational psychology (e.g., psychological safety), neuroscience, behavioral economics, and documented business case studies to construct a coherent, evidence-based framework. The analysis confirms that empathy is a powerful strategic asset, directly correlating with enhanced innovation, productivity, talent retention, and measurable financial returns. We identify and discuss the core pillars of this model and address key implementation challenges. Empathetic organization represents a necessary evolution in corporate consciousness, proving that employee well-being is not in opposition to profit but is, in fact, the new foundational driver of a resilient and prosperous bottom line.

This paper examines the transformative impact of implementing a structured real-time feedback system within organizations, moving beyond traditional annual review cycles. Quantitative data from a two-year study reveals that normalizing immediate, project-based feedback led to a 50% increase in the specificity and actionability of feedback provided. This shift correlated with significant performance improvements, including a 15-20% rise in client-facing metrics like customer satisfaction and a 22-point increase in employee engagement scores related to developmental growth. The analysis explores the neurocognitive advantage of immediate feedback, where the proximity to events enhances learning and retention, thereby systematically dismantling the "feedback is scary" narrative and fostering psychological safety. Crucially, the findings demonstrate that success is contingent on building a shared organizational skillset through training in frameworks like SBI (Situation-Behavior-Impact) and leveraging technology to integrate feedback seamlessly into daily workflows, transforming it from a managerial burden into a collective responsibility for continuous improvement.

The development of digital business in Indonesia has brought significant impacts on the increase of cybercrime, particularly phishing. This research aims to analyze the legal aspects of consumer protection against phishing crimes in the context of digital business in Indonesia with a case study in Medan City. The research method used is normative juridical with statutory and case approaches. The research findings indicate that the legal framework for consumer protection against phishing crimes in Indonesia has been regulated in various regulations, including Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection, Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendment to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions, and Law Number 27 of 2022 concerning Personal Data Protection. However, the implementation of legal protection still faces various obstacles, such as low digital literacy among the public, limited cyber law enforcement infrastructure, and complexity of evidence in phishing cases. This research recommends strengthening more specific regulations regarding phishing, increasing law enforcement capacity, and continuous public education.

Actio pauliana is a fundamental legal instrument in the Indonesian bankruptcy system to protect creditors' interests from debtor's detrimental legal acts. This research aims to analyze the application of actio pauliana based on Law Number 37 of 2004 concerning Bankruptcy and Suspension of Debt Payment Obligations (UUK-PKPU), focusing on filing requirements, burden of proof, and practical challenges in court proceedings. The research method used is normative juridical with statutory, conceptual, and case study approaches. The results show that actio pauliana as an effort to annul debtor's legal acts has a strategic role in maximizing the bankruptcy estate (boedel pailit) for creditor debt settlement. However, the effectiveness of actio pauliana implementation still faces various obstacles, particularly regarding the heavy burden of proof on curators, differing judicial perceptions in assessing debtor fraud elements, and legal protection for good faith third parties. This research recommends the need for reformulating actio pauliana provisions to provide better legal certainty for all parties involved in bankruptcy proceedings.

Abstract This study examines the mediating role of retirement planning in the relationship between risk tolerance and financial resilience among industrial workers in Batam City, Indonesia. Using a quantitative cross-sectional survey design, data were collected from 78 permanent industrial workers employed in manufacturing companies across Batam's industrial zones through purposive sampling. The study employed Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to test the proposed hypotheses regarding direct relationships and mediation effects. The measurement model demonstrated satisfactory reliability and validity, with Cronbach's Alpha values ranging from 0.892 to 0.968 and Average Variance Extracted (AVE) meeting acceptable thresholds. The structural model analysis revealed significant positive relationships across all hypothesized paths. Risk tolerance showed the strongest relationship with retirement planning (β = 0.640, t = 9.317, p < 0.001), while retirement planning demonstrated substantial positive effects on financial resilience (β = 0.609, t = 5.202, p < 0.001). Risk tolerance also exhibited a direct positive relationship with financial resilience (β = 0.339, t = 2.555, p = 0.011). Most importantly, the mediation analysis confirmed that retirement planning partially mediates the relationship between risk tolerance and financial resilience, with a significant indirect effect (β = 0.390, t = 3.898, p < 0.001) that exceeds the direct effect. The findings contribute to behavioral finance literature by demonstrating that retirement planning serves as a critical mechanism through which individual risk preferences translate into financial resilience outcomes among industrial workers in emerging market contexts. The results support lifecycle theory and planned behavior theory, showing that systematic retirement planning behaviors are more effective than spontaneous risk-taking activities in enhancing financial resilience. Practical implications suggest that financial literacy programs should focus on retirement planning education tailored to workers' risk tolerance levels, while policymakers can develop targeted interventions leveraging individual risk preferences to improve workers' long-term financial well-being. The study provides valuable insights for enhancing financial resilience among Indonesia's industrial workforce in the context of evolving social security systems and demographic transitions.

In today's competitive landscape, organizational performance is fundamentally linked to team efficacy, which is predominantly governed by frontline and middle managers. Despite their pivotal role, these "Manager Multipliers" are often under-equipped, having been promoted for technical proficiency rather than leadership capability, leading to a widespread "accidental manager" syndrome. This study aims to investigate the systematic equipping of managers as a primary lever for enhancing team performance, engagement, and talent retention. Employing a mixed-methodology approach—including a literature review, analysis of industry case studies, and synthesis of prevailing human capital metrics—the research identifies a five-pillar framework for manager development. The results indicate that strategic investment in manager selection, competency training, and support systems yields significant multiplicative returns on team outcomes, as measured by engagement scores, retention rates, and goal attainment. The discussion underscores that manager development must transition from an optional HR activity to a core business strategy. The conclusion asserts that cultivating Manager Multipliers is the highest-ROI investment for sustainable organizational growth, advocating for leadership accountability and a continuous learning culture.

This research aims to analyze the challenges faced by Muslim students in participating in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMPS Anjangsana, Munte District, Karo Regency. This school is located in a predominantly non-Muslim area, and Muslim students being a minority facing various challenges from social, cultural, and technical learning perspectives. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with Muslim students, PAI teachers, and the school principal, as well as field observations and document studies. The research results indicate that the problems faced include the limited number of Muslim students, so PAI learning is carried out separately and with minimal interaction, very limited learning support facilities and infrastructure for PAI, social pressure and feelings of alienation in the school environment, and low student motivation and participation in learning due to a lack of psychosocial support and facilities. This research recommends strategies to strengthen inclusive education based on Islamic values and tolerance, increase support for learning facilities, and provide teacher training in managing differentiated learning in a multicultural environment. These findings contribute to the development of Islamic religious education models in Muslim minority areas.
