This study aims to analyze principals' instructional leadership strategies in improving learning quality in elementary schools through a multi-site study at SDN Kubang I Cianjur and SDN Warungcaringin Bandung. The research employed a qualitative approach with a multi-site case study design, where data were collected through in-depth interviews with 18 informants, participatory observations, and documentation studies of 47 school documents. Data were analyzed using NVivo 14 through three stages: open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. The analysis identified two equally effective patterns of instructional leadership implementation: a relationship-based pattern at SDN Kubang I and a system-based pattern at SDN Warungcaringin. Both patterns successfully improved learning achievement with literacy increasing by 12-16 percentage points and numeracy by 13-15 percentage points. Instructional supervision was the core practice with the highest coding frequency (n=156) and very positive sentiment score (0.81-0.86), implemented developmentally with high alignment (76-82%) to teacher professional development. The study concludes that instructional leadership effectiveness is determined by implementation consistency and contextual adaptation, not technological sophistication. Main challenges include high administrative burden (40-45%), technology infrastructure limitations, and teacher competency gaps. This research enriches instructional leadership literature with empirical evidence from Indonesian context and identifies the importance of curriculum change management capacity and the effectiveness of distributive instructional leadership.

This study examines the pattern of religious moderation (Wasatiyyah and Tawazun) among the Dayak Meratus Muslim convert (mualaf) family in Paramasan District , a multi-religious area. Converts maintain strong kinship ties and live harmoniously with non-Muslim family members, practicing high tolerance and social values. They actively assist in community preparations and customary ceremonies of other religions through collective work (gotong royong) and providing aid, while maintaining religious boundaries by avoiding sacred rituals. Supporting factors for this moderation include the shared Dayak tribe and open-mindedness. Inhibiting factors are the economic, educational, and accessibility issues for routine religious guidance.

The COVID-19 pandemic has put significant pressure on banking stability, including for Rural Banks (BPR) and BPRS, which are more vulnerable than commercial banks. This situation necessitates an understanding of how internal and external factors influence the capital strength of regional banks, particularly in the Java-Bali region, which has distinct economic dynamics. This study analyzes the factors influencing the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) of Rural Banks (BPR) in the Java-Bali region during the 2019 Q4 – 2024 Q4 period. Using panel data of 180 BPRs and the Random Effects Model (REM) estimation method, this study examines the effects of COVID-19, regional characteristics (Bali dummy), profitability (ROA), operational efficiency (BOPO), bank size (log total assets), and market concentration (log HHI) on CAR. The results showed that Covid-19 had a negative and significant impact on CAR, indicating a weakening of the capital position of rural banks (BPRs) during the pandemic. Profitability had a positive effect on CAR, while operational inefficiency (high BOPO) and larger bank size were associated with lower CAR. Conversely, location (Bali) and market concentration variables did not show a significant effect. These findings confirm that BPRs' internal performance, particularly profitability, efficiency, and asset growth management, are key factors in strengthening capital buffers, while external shocks such as Covid-19 remain a risk that needs to be anticipated.

Rapid social development and cultural transformation in contemporary society have reshaped the consumption patterns of Indonesian adolescents, including female students (santriwati) living in Islamic boarding schools. Although pesantren emphasize modesty, discipline, and value-based education, modern lifestyle trends, family economic conditions, and peer dynamics still influence students’ consumption choices, often leading to behaviors that deviate from Islamic consumption principles. This study aims to examine the influence of lifestyle, parents’ economic status, and the social environment on the Islamic consumption behavior of santriwati at Pesantren Putri Al-Mawaddah. A quantitative research design was employed with a population of 564 students and a sample of 234 respondents selected through stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a structured four-point Likert questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS 22. The results indicate that lifestyle, parents’ economic status, and the social environment each have a significant partial effect on Islamic consumption behavior. Furthermore, the three variables jointly exhibit a significant simultaneous effect, suggesting that Islamic consumption behavior among santriwati is shaped by a combination of personal, economic, and social factors. These findings highlight the need for enhanced value-based education, strengthened social control, and systematic internalization of Islamic consumption principles to help students navigate modern influences while maintaining ethical and Sharia-compliant consumption patterns.

Foreign Official Travel (PDLN) serves as a strategic instrument to enhance the capacity of Indonesia’s civil servants and to support the national human resource development agenda. However, the significant state investment allocated to PDLN particularly at the Human Resource Development Agency for Marine Affairs and Fisheries (BPPSDM KP) often faces suboptimal implementation practices, potentially leading to budget inefficiencies and failures in performance accountability. This qualitative case study aims to analyze the implementation gaps in PDLN policy at BPPSDM KP using Merilee S. Grindle’s framework, focusing on the dimensions of Content of Policy and Context of Implementation. The findings show that ineffective implementation is driven by the interaction of two key factors: (1) ambiguity in the Content of Policy, particularly the inconsistent interpretation of financial regulations (PMK) related to the calculation of Daily Allowances (Uang Harian), which repeatedly triggers findings by the Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK); and (2) critical weaknesses in the Context of Implementation, marked by low accountability as reflected in consistently high rates of delayed reporting (above 20% during 2022–2025) and the absence of a Knowledge Management System (KMS) to ensure institutional utilization of PDLN outcomes. To enhance efficiency and performance accountability, this study recommends strengthening a digital KMS and implementing mandatory Cost-Benefit Analysis for every PDLN proposal to ensure an adequate return on investment for the institution.

This study analyzes the influence of work motivation, job education, total participation, and leadership on employee performance assessment, with job satisfaction as an intervening variable, at PTPN IV Regional 1 Janji Rantauprapat Garden. The labor-intensive plantation sector faces challenges in enhancing employee performance, which is influenced by factors such as motivation, training, employee involvement, and leadership styles. This research employs a quantitative approach, utilizing a census method that included all 127 permanent employees. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS) with the aid of SmartPLS 4.0 software. The findings indicate that none of the exogenous variables (work motivation, job education, total participation, and leadership) had a significant direct or indirect influence on either job satisfaction or employee performance. Furthermore, job satisfaction was not found to significantly mediate the relationship between the exogenous variables and employee performance. Additionally, the research model demonstrated low predictive relevance (Q-Square value), suggesting that it does not adequately explain the variations in job satisfaction and employee performance within this specific context. This study concludes that the hypothesized relationships were not significant in this setting, highlighting the need for further research considering other factors or different methodologies to understand employee performance drivers.

This study examines how Indonesia articulates its national interests through bilateral cooperation in drug and vaccine regulatory oversight with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 2021. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the research analyzes primary documents, including the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and official reports from the Indonesian Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BPOM) and the Ministry of Health, supplemented by secondary sources. The study applies Andrew Moravcsik’s liberal intergovernmentalism framework, focusing on four indicators: consideration of domestic actors, bargaining among domestic actors, reflection of domestic preferences in international cooperation, and flexibility based on domestic dynamics. The findings indicate that Indonesia’s national interests are articulated through collaborative mechanisms that reflect the preferences and needs of diverse domestic actors, including government institutions, the health sector, industry stakeholders, and civil society. Policy decisions are the result of bargaining among these actors, ensuring that international cooperation aligns with domestic priorities such as technical capacity building, knowledge transfer, and public welfare. Furthermore, the MoU and related phenomena demonstrate that international agreements are not solely driven by geopolitical power, but by domestic considerations and mutual benefits, highlighting the adaptive and context-sensitive nature of Indonesia’s foreign policy in health regulation. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of how liberal approaches to national interest and intergovernmental cooperation shape international health policy, offering practical insights for policymakers to design flexible, inclusive, and sustainable international agreements in the health sector.

This study aims to analyze the role of purchasing decisions as a mediator of the influence of chatbot responsiveness and personalization on customer satisfaction on TikTok Shop in Palu City. Using quantitative methods with SEM-PLS (SmartPLS 4) and purposive sampling techniques, the study involved 100 respondents who had interacted with a chatbot when purchasing fashion products on TikTok Shop. The results show that responsiveness and personalization do not directly influence satisfaction, but both have a significant influence on purchasing decisions. Subsequent purchasing decisions are proven to have a strong influence on satisfaction and act as a full mediator. These findings reflect field conditions, where TikTok Shop users value chatbots more from their ability to assist the decision-making process such as clarity of information, relevant recommendations, and ease of transactions than from the emotional aspect of direct satisfaction. Practically, TikTok Shop needs to optimize the quality of chatbot responses, enrich personalization based on shopping history, and improve the accuracy of product information to encourage purchasing confidence, which ultimately increases customer satisfaction.
