This study aims to analyze the liability of expedition service providers and consumer protection related to the loss of goods, focusing on Decision Number 62/Pdt.Sus-BPSK/2023/PN.Mkd. The expedition business has significant growth potential, driven by increasing logistics demands, which encourages courier companies to offer various delivery services. However, these services are not always satisfactory, as issues of lost goods frequently occur. Such incidents can be categorized as breaches of contract since expedition companies failed to fulfill their obligations to consumers, raising questions about the liability of business actors and consumer protection against the loss of goods during shipment. This research employs a normative juridical method with a statutory approach. The findings indicate that business actors are obliged to compensate for the value of the lost goods in accordance with the provisions of the Consumer Protection Law. In the case of J&T Cargo, the compensation offered was significantly below the value of the lost goods, resulting in consumer dissatisfaction and prompting objections to be filed in court. This study recommends stricter enforcement of the law to protect consumers and ensure that business actors fulfill their obligations under applicable legal provisions. It also highlights the importance of resolving disputes through legal channels to provide certainty for consumers and improve service quality in the goods delivery industry.

This study aims to examine the legal certainty aspects of debt payment obligation petitions against apartment developer debtors. In the context of bankruptcy law, legal certainty is crucial to protect creditors' rights while also providing adequate protection for debtors experiencing financial distress. However, several issues arise regarding legal certainty in debt payment suspension petitions involving apartment developers. One example is the case of an apartment developer in the Commercial Court Decision No. 97/Pdt.Sus-PKPU/2024/PN Niaga Jkt Pst. This research explores the legal certainty surrounding the suspension of debt payment obligation petitions against apartment developer debtors, as governed by Law No. 37 of 2004 on Bankruptcy and Suspension of Debt Payment Obligations. The study finds that the court's decision demonstrates legal protection for debtors by taking into account factual conditions and creditors' rights. This ruling has significant implications for the development of bankruptcy law in Indonesia, particularly in resolving the debts of financially distressed apartment developers. In conclusion, legal certainty in the suspension of debt payment obligation petitions involving apartment developers must be grounded in the principle of justice, ensuring protection for all parties involved in the dispute while maintaining a balance between the rights of debtors and creditors.

Foreign exchange reserves are crucial in maintaining macroeconomic stability, particularly in developing countries. This study aims to analyze the impact of commodity exports and external debt on Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves from 1990 to 2023. A quantitative approach with a multiple linear regression model was employed, using time-series data sourced from BPS, the World Bank, and Bank Indonesia. The dependent variable is foreign exchange reserves, while the independent variables include CPO exports, metal exports, and external debt. The findings indicate that CPO exports significantly improve foreign exchange reserves, highlighting their strategic importance as a primary export commodity. In contrast, metal exports show a significant negative impact, driven by low value-added processing and high dependency on imported materials. External debt demonstrates positive and significant effects, reflecting its utility in strengthening reserves when effectively managed. This study emphasizes the need to enhance value-added processes for commodity exports and prudently manage external debt to optimize Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves. Future research could explore other variables, such as foreign direct investment (FDI), monetary factors, tourism, or labour, to provide deeper insights and refine analytical tools.

Arbitration is increasingly recognized as an effective forum for dispute resolution. One of the key advantages of arbitration is its principle of finality and binding nature, which limits the availability of legal remedies. However, Article 70 of the Indonesian Arbitration Act paves the way for parties to submit an application for annulment of arbitral awards to the District Court, but only on specific, limited grounds. Furthermore, a party may appeal to the Supreme Court regarding the annulment of arbitration awards issued by the District Court, positioning the Supreme Court as the final arbiter in such cases. In practice, there have been instances where the Supreme Court has misapplied the law, seemingly disregarding evidence acknowledged by the District Court. This has led to significant legal uncertainty. This study aims to identify the legal misapplications made by the Supreme Court during the appeal process for annulment of arbitral awards. Utilizing a normative research methodology, this research analyzes existing laws and regulations to address these issues. The findings conclude that one of the legal standards applied by the Supreme Court during the appeal stage contradict Indonesia's arbitration law, undermining the integrity of the arbitration process.

Corruption in Indonesia remains high despite continued efforts by the KPK. Public awareness of forensic audits and the importance of selecting leaders with integrity are alternative strategies for preventing corruption. This study aims to examine the perceptual dissimilarity between Legislative Candidates and the Electorate concerning the competencies of forensic auditors. Using a survey research design with descriptive and exploratory methods, data were collected through questionnaires and interviews to test hypotheses related to forensic accounting expertise. Respondents included 8 Legislative Candidates and 33 members of the Electorate, with data analyzed using an independent T-test. The study results indicate an expectation gap between Legislative Candidates and the Electorate in factors such as deductive analysis (H1), critical thinking (H2), investigative flexibility (H4), analytical skills (H5), oral communication (H6), specific legal knowledge (H8), and composition (H9). The conclusion of this study is that there is a perceptual dissimilarity regarding forensic auditor competencies in unstructured problem-solving (H3) and written communication (H7).

This research aims to analyze the legal standing of Vietnamese joint venture companies within the framework of foreign investment laws in Indonesia, as well as the legal impacts and juridical implications of their activities in the lobster seed industry. In recent years, Indonesia's lobster seed industry has attracted foreign investors, particularly from Vietnam. The Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Regulation no. 7 of 2024 provides a legal framework for joint venture companies operating in this sector. However, this policy raises various legal issues, including allegations of monopoly and its effects on local fishermen. The Research Question What is the legal standing of Vietnamese joint venture companies within the framework of foreign investment laws in Indonesia based on the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Regulation No. 7 of 2024 as it relates to the lobster seed industry What are the legal impacts and juridical implications of the activities of Vietnamese joint venture companies as foreign investors in the legal and lobster seed industry sectors in Indonesia. This study finds that Vietnamese joint venture companies have a legitimate position within the foreign investment legal framework in Indonesia; However, the implementation of policies often does not align with the objectives of protecting local fishermen. There are indications of monopolistic practices by these companies, which disadvantage local fishermen and create imbalances in profit distribution within the fisheries sector.
