Abstract

The limited availability of reading materials that highlight local culture in elementary schools has led to low cultural literacy and reading skills among students. Therefore, this study aims to develop a Bima local wisdom-based children's storybook as a learning medium to enhance the cultural literacy and reading skills of fifth-grade students. The storybook was developed using the ADDIE model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects included fifth-grade students of SDN Inpres Tente, classroom teachers, and experts in content, media, and language involved in the product validation process. The research object was the children's storybook La Lino and La Mango, which integrates cultural and moral values of the Bima community. Data collection methods included observations, interviews, questionnaires, tests, and documentation. The findings indicate that the storybook has a very high level of validity, with scores of 4.15 for content aspects and 4.0 for media aspects. The practicality test conducted by teachers yielded a score of 4.9, indicating that the book is easy to use in learning. Meanwhile, the effectiveness test using the n-gain score showed a significant improvement in students' cultural literacy and reading skills. Thus, the Bima local wisdom-based children's storybook serves as an innovative learning medium that not only enhances students' literacy but also introduces and preserves local culture.

Abstract

This study developed a Menyama Braya-based e-book to enhance the global diversity character within the Pancasila Student Profile for fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 3 Ubung. The e-book was designed using the ADDIE development model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. It integrates values of tolerance, mutual cooperation, and respect, featuring engaging illustrations, child-friendly language, and reflective activities. The study involved lecturers, teachers, and fourth-grade students, with data collected through questionnaires assessing content validity, media, design, language, acceptability, and effectiveness. The results indicate that the e-book is highly effective and practical for learning, with an achievement rate of 93.74% from content experts, 92.70% from media experts, 94.1% from teachers, and 95.41% from students. Effectiveness tests using pretests and posttests showed a significant improvement in students' learning outcomes (p < 0.05). In conclusion, the Menyama Braya e-book is effective in fostering the global diversity character among fourth-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

Business sustainability is influenced by challenges in a dynamic culinary market. Angkringan in Pringgabaya District, East Lombok, provides economic opportunities for the community and provides affordable consumption options. This research aims to explore the views of managers and employees on the sustainability of the angkringan business, and what are the strategies in dealing with external challenges such as fierce competition, fluctuations in raw material prices, and seasonal dependence, as well as internal challenges in the form of limited capital and labor. This study uses qualitative, descriptive, and analytical research. How to obtain data through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of this study show that strategies such as product diversification, technology utilization, and operational efficiency show great potential in maintaining sustainability. The adoption of technology can increase production, expand the market, and improve efficiency. With the right strategy and external support, angkringan in Pringgabaya has the potential to survive and grow.

Abstract

Multicultural education is important to be given to students to prevent conflicts in attitudes of tolerance and social interaction between groups in society. This study aims to find out about the factors that influence the success and obstacles in the implementation of the multicultural education model in social studies learning. This study uses the Systematic Literature Review method. Data collection was carried out based on Google Scholar, with a limitation of 2014-2024. The results of the study indicate that the factors that influence the success of the implementation of the multicultural education model in social studies learning are teacher factors to increase effectiveness in the teaching and learning process, student factors, namely each student has unique characteristics and different ways of thinking, and parent and community factors in the student's environment have an important role in determining the success of children. The obstacles in its implementation are obstacles from teachers who are less competent in teaching, obstacles from students who have different characteristics, and obstacles from parents and the community, namely the diverse external environment.

Abstract

Teaching and learning activities are the most important activities in the school environment. But in learning activities themselves, there needs to be innovation so that students do not feel bored during learning activities and can increase student motivation and learning outcomes. One of the learning innovations can come from learning techniques, methods or media. Currently, technology is increasingly sophisticated and advanced, for example gadgets which are now not only used as a means of communication but can also be used as a supporting medium for learning that is more interesting and innovative by utilizing sophisticated features in it. In this study, an analysis of the learning system in social studies subjects was carried out, then the application of gadget media in conducting learning, for example for tests, finding learning resources and so on. With the aim of supporting learning as well as efforts to increase motivation and learning outcomes of social studies in class VII at SMP Negeri 8 Cirebon City. The results of the study are expected to contribute and input for educators in creating an increase in motivation and student learning outcomes especially in social studies subjects.

Abstract

The application of cultural values is often rarely visible in classroom learning, even though the existence of culture must continue to be preserved. One strategy that is still rarely implemented is integrating culture into the learning process. Therefore, this study aims to explore the importance of implementing culturally responsive teaching, specifically focusing on Pendhalungan culture. This research employs a qualitative approach to deeply understand the learning phenomenon in the context of Class 7E at SMPN 5 Jember. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Triangulation of sources and techniques was used to ensure data validity. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles & Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT), when combined with Project-Based Learning (PjBL), is effective in developing students' 21st-century skills. The integration of Pendhalungan local culture through projects such as diorama creation, regional songs, and role-playing enhances students' creativity, communication, collaboration, and critical thinking. This approach makes learning more meaningful, strengthens cultural identity, and encourages active participation and social character development among students.

Abstract

This study examines the construction of husband-wife relationship patterns based on gender equality concepts, particularly in dual-career families. Traditional family structures have historically placed men in public domains while confining women to domestic responsibilities, creating gender inequality reinforced by patriarchal culture. This library research employs a descriptive-analytic approach to explore how the "mubadalah" concept (reciprocal relationship) can be applied to establish more equitable husband-wife relations. The findings demonstrate that gender differences are sociocultural constructs that contribute to discrimination against women, who often face work–family conflicts in balancing professional and domestic responsibilities. The mubadalah framework, introduced by Faqihuddin Abdul Kodir, emphasizes mutual respect, equality, and justice in relationships. This approach rejects rigid divisions between public and private spheres, advocating equal opportunities and rights for individuals regardless of gender. The study concludes that achieving gender equality requires dismantling patriarchal structures and promoting reciprocal partnerships within families and society. By demonstrating the practical application of the mubadalah concept in modern family dynamics, this study contributes to the broader discourse on gender equality.

Abstract

This research aims to develop MPI Google Slides based Pear Deck to increase the motivation and learning outcomes of class VI students at SDN Muneng Leres II on the material Important Events Leading Up to the Proclamation of Indonesian Independence. The method used is research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) developed by Reiser and Mollenda. The subjects in this research were all class VI students at SDN Muneng Leres II for the 2024/2025 academic year, totaling 20 people, consisting of 11 male students and 9 female students. They also become test subjects in media development which is carried out through the stages of validation, implementation and evaluation of media effectiveness. Preliminary data obtained from diagnostic tests showed that only 35% of the 20 students had achieved an adequate level of understanding of the material, while the other 65% had not met the Learning Goal Achievement Criteria (KKTP). The research results show that the use of the developed MPI significantly increases students' understanding and learning motivation. Even though the correlation between pre-test and Post-test scores was weak, there was a significant increase in learning scores after the media intervention was implemented. Apart from cognitive improvements, students also show affective developments, such as increased interest, active involvement, self-confidence, and satisfaction in the learning process. This interactive media has proven effective in presenting historical material in an interesting, contextual and participatory manner. Thus, the development of MPI Google Slides based Pear Deck very relevant for enriching students' learning experiences in a comprehensive and meaningful way in social studies learning at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate a desktop-based Guidance and Counseling Information System (GCIS) using Visual Basic 6.0 and MySQL at SMKN 1 Palibelo. The background of the study is the ongoing use of manual methods in managing guidance services, which results in inefficiency and is prone to errors. The research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the Waterfall model as a software engineering approach. The system includes features for student data management, counseling case records, and BK activity reporting. The system quality was assessed based on four key indicators: correctness, functionality, maintainability, and usability. Testing results showed zero errors from 2,924 lines of code, fully functional features, maintainable system architecture, and high usability based on user questionnaire responses. These findings indicate that the application of information technology in counseling services improves counselor efficiency, reduces record-keeping errors, and accelerates student data access. The developed system has the potential to be replicated in other schools to support the digital transformation of educational services.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in Islamic boarding schools is often delivered conventionally and tends to limit student engagement. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in enhancing the activeness of ninth-grade students at MTs 01 Darussalam Kepahiang. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation over a two-week period. The results indicate that the PjBL model had a positive impact on students’ activeness across cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. Students became more engaged in discussions, confident in expressing ideas, and creative in completing projects such as creating digital da’wah media and simulating worship practices. Teachers acted as facilitators who guided students throughout the learning process. The model fostered a more interactive and contextual learning environment. It is recommended that teachers receive training on PjBL, learning projects be made more varied, and supporting facilities be improved to enhance more effective and meaningful learning.
