Abstract

This study uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. This method was chosen to systematically and accurately describe the factors that influence the completion of thesis of Physical Education and Sports students, both inhibiting and driving factors. This study aims to determine the percentage of influential factors based on data obtained from interviews with 37 students. The sampling technique was carried out by simple random sampling. The data obtained from the interview results were then processed in the form of a percentage to determine the dominant factors that influence students. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the largest supporting factor for students in completing their thesis is family support of 37.8%, then the support factor of the supervisor is 27%, deadline pressure is 16.2%, personal motivation is 13.5%, and friend support is 5.4%. While the inhibiting factors are lack of motivation of 32.4%, then the difficulty factor in data collection is 24.3%, ineffective guidance is 18.9%, time constraints are 13.5%, lack of references or literature is 8.1%, and personal problems are 2.7%.

Abstract

The level of physical fitness of school students, especially in sprint activities such as the 100-meter run, is often associated with body status as measured by the Body Mass Index (BMI). This study aims to analyze the relationship between BMI and 100-meter running speed in students of SMP Negeri 20 Makassar. This study used a quantitative correlational method with a test and measurement approach to 30 students aged 12–14 years. Data were collected through height and weight measurements to calculate BMI, as well as a 100-meter run test to measure speed. Data analysis using Pearson correlation showed a very significant negative relationship between BMI and running time (r = 0.918, p < 0.001). These results indicate that students with higher BMI tend to have better running speed. This study contributes to the understanding that BMI reflects good physical performance, and suggests a more functional and personalized evaluation of physical fitness. Further research is recommended to involve body composition and other fitness factors.

Abstract

This research is an experimental research that aims to determine the Effect of Rondo Training Model on Passing Ability in futsal game of SMA Negeri 2 Takalar. The independent variable in this study is the rondo training model while the dependent variable is the short pass test. The population in this study was 50 students of SMA Negeri 2 Takalar. Sampling using categorization technique with a sample size of 20 students. The research data was obtained using a test (pre-test and post-test). The data analysis technique used is statistics using computer facilities through the SPSS program with prerequisite tests, namely the normality test and the t-test using the paired sample t-test. Based on the results obtained, the normality test of the pretest data sig 0.090 and the posttest obtained sig. 0.067. Sig> 0.005 then the pretest and posttest data are normal. After conducting a significance test using the paired sample t-test, the calculated t = 6.030 and sig 0.005 (P <0.05) were obtained, so H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted, meaning that there was a significant influence of the rondo training model on the passing ability of the futsal game at SMA Negeri 2 Takalar.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between interest in playing soccer and active participation of students in physical education classes at SD Negeri Kompleks Sambung Jawa. The study used a quantitative correlational approach with purposive sampling. The sample consisted of 60 fifth and sixth grade students. Data were collected through a soccer interest questionnaire and an active participation observation sheet, analyzed using Pearson Product Moment correlation test. The results showed that 70% of students had a high interest in soccer and 65% demonstrated active participation in PJOK. The correlation analysis yielded a value of r = 0.64 with p = 0.000, indicating a positive and significant relationship between the two variables. Interest in playing soccer was proven to positively contribute to students' active participation levels in PJOK. The implications of these results highlight the importance of an interest-based learning approach in physical education at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study aims to systematically examine the role of mental concentration on the accuracy of the upper pass technique in volleyball. The method used is the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by analyzing eight relevant scientific articles using experimental, correlational, and quantitative descriptive approaches. The results of the analysis show that mental concentration plays a significant role in improving the accuracy of the upper pass. Strategies such as mental imagery, positive self-talk, external focus of attention, mental relaxation, and mindfulness training have been proven effective in supporting upper pass performance. This study confirms that mental concentration not only contributes to technical aspects but also forms mental resilience in facing the pressure of the game. Therefore, it is important for coaches and physical educators to integrate mental training into the volleyball training curriculum in order to optimize the overall performance of students.

Abstract

Shooting ability in football is one of the essential motor skills to be developed since elementary school age, because it is closely related to the game performance and psychomotor development of students. This study aims to analyze the level of shooting ability of grade V students of SDI Bontoala and identify their performance classification based on standardized measurement scores. The method used is a quantitative descriptive approach, with data collection techniques in the form of shooting skill tests given to 17 male students from a total population of 70 students. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics including average scores, frequency distributions, and classification of ability categories. The results showed that most students (35.3%) were in the "Low" category, while only one student (5.9%) was included in the "Very High" category. The average score of students' shooting ability was 35.5 points, indicating the need for a more effective, structured, and tailored shooting technique learning strategy to the characteristics of individual students. These findings provide an important contribution to the development of Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) learning at the elementary school level, especially in the aspects of evaluating and coaching basic football technique skills.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the relationship between anxiety level and smash accuracy in badminton athletes. Anxiety is one of the psychological factors that can affect athlete performance, especially in sports that require concentration and accuracy such as badminton. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational design. Data were collected through anxiety questionnaire and smash accuracy measurement through validated skill test. The results of the analysis show that there is a significant relationship between anxiety levels and athletes' smash accuracy. The higher the level of anxiety experienced by athletes, the lower the smash accuracy displayed, and vice versa. This finding indicates the importance of managing psychological aspects in athlete training to improve technical performance on the field.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of throwing and catching small balls by modifying the traditional Boi game based on cooperative learning for grade V students of MIS Al-Hidayah Cinta Karya. This research employs the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, consisting of two cycles. Each cycle involves planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The results of the study indicate an improvement in learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II. In cycle I, 15 students (57.69%) achieved learning mastery with an average score of 73.50%. In cycle II, learning mastery increased to 23 students (88.64%) with an average score of 80.76%. These results show that modifying the traditional Boi game can enhance the learning outcomes of throwing and catching small balls.
