Abstract

Fiqh learning in tahfidz institutions often faces challenges such as low student participation and understanding due to monotonous teaching approaches. This study aims to describe the implementation of the ASSURE instructional design model based on multimedia to improve fiqh learning outcomes at the Tahfidz Quran Foundation Raudhatul Hasanah Mulyorejo. This research employed a qualitative field research approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects consisted of one fiqh teacher and 20 tahfidz students selected purposively. The findings indicate that the use of interactive multimedia, such as animated videos and the Kahoot quiz application, effectively enhances conceptual understanding of fiqh, encourages active participation, and creates a more engaging learning environment. Students showed increased interest, greater involvement, and improved ability in religious practice. This approach also supported teachers in delivering material in a more structured and engaging manner. These results suggest that integrating technology into religious learning can serve as an innovative and effective alternative in Islamic educational settings, particularly in tahfidz schools.

Abstract

This study investigates how English teachers perceive the role of visual literacy in students' reading comprehension at SMA Negeri 2 Batang. The background of this study stems from the challenges faced by students in understanding complex English texts and the limited use of visual media in teaching by teachers. The purpose of this study is to determine how teachers apply visual literacy in teaching, as well as to understand their views on the benefits and challenges faced. Using a qualitative approach and case study method, data was collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that visual literacy, such as images, videos, and infographics, can significantly improve students' comprehension and motivation to learn. The teachers stated that the use of visual media helps students connect text with context, enriches learning experiences, and fosters reading interest. However, its implementation still faces several challenges, such as time constraints, facilities, and teachers' skills in selecting and integrating visual media effectively into teaching materials. Therefore, appropriate training for teachers and balanced learning strategy planning are needed so that visual literacy can be used not merely as an addition but as an integral part of the reading-learning process. With proper management, the integration of visual literacy can strengthen students' overall English literacy skills.

Abstract

This study examines the use of tag questions in fairy tale dialogues, specifically in the story Why Doesn’t the Rabbit Have a Long Tail?, motivated by the limited research on this linguistic phenomenon in contemporary children’s literature. The objectives are to identify the forms of tag questions, analyze their communicative functions in character interactions, and explore their impact on meaning conveyance, character development, and narrative dynamics. Employing a qualitative descriptive method with a library research approach, data were collected from the fairy tale text and supported by relevant academic sources, then analyzed pragmatically and syntactically to gain a comprehensive understanding of tag question usage. Based on the analysis of the fairy tale, it was found that the explicit use of formal tag questions is very limited, appearing only around four to five times. However, reflective questions functioning similarly are more prevalent and play a crucial role in expressing the protagonist’s inner conflict, fostering emotional engagement with readers, and reinforcing the moral message of the story. Therefore, tag questions and reflective interrogatives serve as effective linguistic strategies that enrich dialogue, enliven characters, and make the narrative more interactive and meaningful. This provides important contributions to linguistic studies in literature and benefits writers and educators in children’s literature.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang ditemukan dalam pembelajaran menulis di kelas 2 SD Muhammadiyah Birrul Walidain adalah masih rendahnya keterampilan siswa dalam menyusun kalimat sederhana. Siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam menuangkan ide ke dalam bentuk tulisan, memilih kata yang tepat, serta menggunakan ejaan dan tanda baca dengan benar. Kondisi ini menyebabkan hasil tulisan siswa belum sesuai dengan tujuan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis kalimat melalui penerapan model Concept Sentence berbantuan Clue Card. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, dengan tahapan perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah 23 siswa kelas 2 Capella SD Muhammadiyah Birrul Walidain. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan tes tertulis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan menulis siswa, ditandai dengan peningkatan persentase ketuntasan belajar dari 69,5% pada siklus I menjadi 82,6% pada siklus II. Penerapan model Concept Sentence berbantuan Clue Card terbukti efektif dalam membantu siswa menyusun kalimat secara terstruktur dan bermakna. Model ini juga sesuai dengan tahap perkembangan kognitif siswa sekolah dasar yang masih berada pada tahap operasional konkret.

Abstract

The background that drives this research is the results of students' mathematical problem solving abilities which are still low and there are still many students who have not reached the KKM of 65 and the use of learning models that are less varied is the reason for researchers to carry out research in class V of Almusabbihin Elementary School The objectives in this study are This study aims to determine (1) the average class value of the mathematical problem solving ability of grade V students of Almusabbihin Elementary School reaches 65. (2) The mathematical problem solving ability of students who are given the RME learning model is better than before treatment. This type of research uses experimental research methods with Pre Experimental Design One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The study population was all fifth grade students of Almusabbihin Elementary School. The sample taken was 34 fifth grade students of Almusabbihin Elementary School using purposive sampling technique. Data collection instruments used math problem solving ability test instruments and observation sheets. Data analysis used, quantitative analysis of the right one-party t test. The calculation results obtained, the average class value of the mathematical problem solving ability of fifth grade students of Almusabbihin Elementary School reached KKM 65 as evidenced by the average initial score of 34.12 to 76.32 and classical learning completeness of 0% to 88.24%, there was a higher increase in postest scores than pretest scores. Students' math problem solving ability is better than before with a tcount of 12.358> ttable of 1.997. So, the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) learning model is effective on mathematical problem solving of fifth grade elementary school students.

Abstract

Keberhasilan pendidikan dipengaruhi oleh peran guru dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas. Oleh karena itu guru diharapkan memilik etos kerja yang baik. Dengan menjunjung tinggi nilai-nilai etika kerja, guru bekerja dengan tulus dan ikhlas, semata-mata untuk kepentingan khalayak umum, Bangsa, dan Agama. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh kepuasan kerja terhadap etos kerja guru SMK swasta Se Kecamatan Medan Tembung, penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif korelasional dengan metode survey, populasi sebanyak 132 orang dengan sampel 30% yaitu 40 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan antara kepuasan kerja dan etos kerja guru SMK swasta se Kecamatan Medan Tembung dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,637. Hal ini berarti bahwa semakin tinggi kepuasan kerja maka etos kerja guru juga cenderung tinggi. Dan nilai koefisien determinasi yang diperoleh dari r2 (0,637)2 adalah 0,406. Hal ini berarti pengaruh kepuasan kerja terhadap etos kerja guru adalah 0,406 x 100% = 40,6 %. Artinya kepuasan kerja memberikan sumbangan sebesar 40,6 % terhadap etos kerja guru.

Abstract

This study aimed to explore the most influential factor in the speaking performance of students in English for Specific Purposes (ESP) classes. Interestingly, the participants had never previously received specific instruction or materials related to speaking performance. Despite this, their speaking abilities varied considerably. The study involved 25 students from the Civil Engineering department, most of whom are members of Generation Z and are naturally familiar with using technology to support their learning. This study is urgently needed to raise students’ awareness that relying solely on personal characteristics, particularly introverted tendencies, may not be sufficient to achieve successful speaking performance in public settings. This research sought to answer three key questions: (1) What student characteristics most influence the speaking performance of ESP students in engineering classes? (2) How does students' preparation before speaking activities impact their speaking performance? and (3) Which factor has a greater influence on ESP students' speaking performance: personal characteristics or preparation? Data were collected through class observation. The findings indicated that extroverted characteristics appeared to help students manage their speaking performance more confidently. However, despite showing fluency, many students struggled to develop communication depth. This study was limited to one ESP class in the Civil Engineering department. Future studies are encouraged to explore this topic in different fields, across larger samples, and with students who have varying levels of prior exposure to speaking instruction.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peranan prestasi belajar dalam mengambil keputusan karir pada seseorang. Latar belakang dilakukannya penelitian ini dikarenakan fakta menunjukkan bahwa, masih banyaknya siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas yang masih bingung terkait penentuan karir masa depannya, sehingga berdampak pada jurusan yang akan diambil setelah menyelesaikan pendidikan Menengah Atas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kajian pustaka dengan proses pengumpulan datanya dari buku, jurnal dan sumber yang lain. Penerapan teori yang dilaksanakan di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Medan ini, diharapkan agar siswa lebih bijak dalam mengambil keputusan yang tepat terkait karir yang akan menereka tekuni setelah menyelesaikan pendidikan, sesuai dengan bakat dan minat masing-masing siswa. Menentukan dan mempersiapkan karir merupakan salah satu tujuan hidup yang dianggap penting bagi setiap orang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini diketahui bahwa terdapat pengaruh Locus of Control dan Gender Roles terhadap pengambilan keputusan karir.

Abstract

Aceh merupakan wilayah pascakonflik yang masih menyimpan kompleksitas identitas lokal dan nasional. Generasi anak usia sekolah dasar di wilayah bekas konflik menunjukkan kerentanan terhadap paparan paham bertentangan dengan keutuhan NKRI yang tersebar melalui narasi digital maupun transmisi budaya informal. Kajian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kebutuhan mendesak akan strategi pendidikan kebangsaan yang kontekstual, khususnya melalui pemanfaatan cerita rakyat sebagai media pembelajaran nilai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji sejauh mana cerita rakyat Aceh terintegrasi dalam pembelajaran kebangsaan di sekolah dasar serta bagaimana potensi cerita tersebut dalam memperkuat identitas nasional anak tanpa mengabaikan akar budaya lokalnya. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara mendalam dengan guru dan kepala sekolah, serta analisis dokumen kurikulum dan bahan ajar pada lima sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Pidie dan Aceh Utara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi cerita rakyat Aceh dalam pembelajaran masih bersifat sporadis, tidak terstruktur, dan belum didukung oleh panduan pedagogis yang kuat. Mayoritas guru mengandalkan buku teks nasional yang minim konteks lokal, sementara cerita rakyat seperti Hikayat Prang Sabi, Cut Nyak Dhien, dan Malem Dagang hanya muncul sebagai sisipan informal. Temuan ini mengindikasikan perlunya pengembangan model pembelajaran kebangsaan berbasis cerita lokal yang valid, terstruktur, dan diterima oleh komunitas pendidikan di Aceh.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk, (1) Mengetahui analisis kebutuhan siswa terhadap soal evaluasi berbasis HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills), (2) Menyusun design soal evaluasi berbasis HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) (3) Mengetahui kevalidan dan praktikalitas soal evaluasi berbasis HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills), (4) Mengetahui efektifitas pengembangan soal evaluasi berbasis HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia kelas IV SDN 51 Sumarambu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan atau research and development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE, model pengembangan ADDIE terdiri atas 5 tahapan yaitu: (1)analyze, (2)design, (3)development, (4) implementation, (5) evaluate. Berdasarkan tahap analisis kebutuhan yang dilakukan peneliti di SDN 51 Sumarambu, maka dibutuhkan sebuah inovasi baru terutama dalam bahan ajar berbentuk buku, dalam hal ini dikembangkan Soal Evaluasi Berbasis Hots Pada Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia Kelas IV. Selanjutnya Soal Evaluasi Berbasis Hots divalidasi oleh tiga orang ahli sebagai validator diantaranya ahli bahasa 85% (sangat valid), ahli materi 92% (sangat valid) dan ahli desain 81% (sangat valid). Hasil yang sangat memuaskan dan positif dengan nilai akhir yang diperoleh melalui uji praktikalitas oleh peserta didik sebesar 88.7% dengan kategori sangat praktis dan 89,5% dari guru kelas IV dengan kategori sangat praktis. Kemudian untuk hasil efektifitas dengan melibatkan 18 peserta didik dengan hasil 73% (efektif). Soal evaluasi berbasi HOTS yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria sangat layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.
