Abstract

Lecturing activities in the campus should be in the form of student-centeredlearning, in which lecturers as the educators have a role to facilitate the learning activities tobe optimally running. However, the low activity of students has an impact on the learningoutcomes. One of the efforts to improve the students’ activities in learning is byimplementing the task presentation with the numbered-head system. Through this activity, itis expected that the students’ activity in the classroom would significantly improve andwould impact the learning out comes. This research has been applied in two cycles on theeven semester of 2010/2011 in the class of B2 (Non-Regular) Chemistry EducationDepartment. The result of the research showed that there was a significant improvement onstudents’ activities from 68,9 % in the cycle 1 up to 70,3 % in the cycle 2. The impact onstudents’ learning outcomes was also increased, from the average of 46,20 up to 66,47. Thestudents were in the perception of strongly agree (3,34) on the treatment given, therefore, theefforts on improving students’ learning activities and learning outcomes could be achieved.

Abstract

The research was aimed to find out the effect of gallery walk strategy toward reading comprehension of the second year students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru. The design of this research was quasi-experimental research with an experimental group and control group pre-test and post-test. These two groups were selected to be a sample by using cluster random sampling. The data were analyzed by using t-test formula. It was found that t-test score was 2.351 while the t-table was 2.001. Since t-test score was higher than t-table, it can be concluded that alternative hypothesis was accepted. It means that there is a significant effect of gallery walk strategy on reading comprehension of the second year students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

This is a Quasi-experiment research used to determine theeffectiveness of using M-WebQuest towards reading comprehension achievementof private senior high school students in Pekanbaru - Riau. Sampel of this researchinvolved 260 students that consisted of 130 students for treatment group and 130students for control groups. This involved eight classes from two senior highschools in Pekanbaru - Riau Indonesia. Data were collected using questionnairesand test on students’ reading comprehension achievement. The test was analyzedusing ANATESV4 and SPSS 19.0. The analysis of the data obtained throughquasi-experiment reveals that there is significant difference between students’reading comprehension achievement taught by using M-WebQuest compared tothose who are taught conventionally. The study implication shows that the teachershould use various approaches in teaching and learning process. Using M-WebQuest is one of the way and it can improve students’ reading comprehensionachievement.Keywords: M-WebQuest, reading comprehension achievement

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat percobaan momeninersia dan keseimbangan benda tegar. Dengan adanya perangkat percobaan ini diharapkandapat mendukung kegiatan pembelajaran fisika di SMA. Metode penelitian ini adalah metodepenelitian pengembangan atau R&D (research and developement). Validitas dan praktikalitasperangkat percobaan menggunakan validitas isi dan uji empirik. Hasil penelitian inimenunjukkan bahwa perangkat percobaan momen inersia dan keseimbangan benda tegartelah berhasil dikembangkan dengan validitas dan praktikalitas perangkat berada padakategori sangat tinggi, sehingga perangkat percobaan ini dinyatakan sesuai digunakan dalampembelajaran fisika di SMA. Namun demikian, perangkat percobaan ini tidak sesuaidigunakan untuk pengukuran teknis karena akurasinya masih rendah.

Abstract

Biology learning results of students in class XI have not shown optimal on material that discusses the physiological functions of human organs. From the observations obtained data that the teacher learning process using Student Worksheets prepared by the Subject Teachers' Consultation (MGMP), has not used the scientific approach. This has triggered the writer to conduct classroom action research aimed to improve students biology learning results in class XI by using worksheets based on Student Centered Learning are arranged in such a way as to meet the learning approach of science using step 5 M. This class action research procedure used two cycles, at the end of each cycle the students' daily tests are performed to see the increase in learning results that occur. After the cycle I action, the average student learning results were 71.47, and it increased in cycle II to 76.31, so it can be concluded that the use of Student Worksheets Based on Student Centered Learning can improve the biology learning results of the second year students of SMA Negeri 8 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuanuntuk meningkatkan sikap ilmiahsains biologi siswa kelas VII4 SMP Negeri 21 Pekanbaru melalui Penggunaan Bahan AjarBerbasis CTL.Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Penelitiandilaksanakan pada bulan Mei sampai Juni 2010. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas VII4,dengan jumlah siswa 41 orang (22 orang laki-laki dan 19 orang perempuan). Denganparameter sikap ilmiah. Instrumen pengumpulan datanyadengan menggunakan lembarobservasi dan angket. Hasil penelitian dengan menggunakam lembar observasimenunjukkan bahwa sikap ilmiah siswa mengalami peningkatan, rata-rata sikap ilmiahpada siklus I yaitu sebesar 65 % (kategori cukup) dan pada siklus II menjadi 80%(kategori baik). Rata-rata sikap ilmiah siswa dengan mengunakan angket mengalamipeningkatan, sikap ilmiah siswa sebelum penggunaan yaitu sebesar 69.67% (kategoricukup) sedangkan sesudah penggunaan yaitu sebesar 82.76 % (kategori baik). Ujiternormalisasi (N-gain)menunjukkan peningkatan skor sikap ilmiah siswa sesudahpenggunaan bahan ajar berbasis CTL dengan rata-rata sebesar 0.44 (kategori sedang).Darihasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan bahan ajar berbasis CTL dapatmeningkatkan sikap ilmiah sains biologi siswa kelas VII4 SMP Negeri 21 PekanbaruTahun Ajaran 2009/2010.

Abstract

Generally, students who enter the Japanese Language Education Study Program Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Riau University have a high interest in Japanese Culture. So that, the introduction of Japanese society and culture is presented in the form of Nihon Jijou subjects in semester 1. For the students or Japanese learners at the basic level, the introduction Japanese culture provides its own motivation in learning Japanese. It is just that their understanding of Japanese culture is only found in the material without feeling directly what Japanese culture is like in everyday Japanese life. One of the Japanese culture introductions is to understand the ways or the attitude of Japanese people when using public transportation, especially trains through the Manna Sugoroku game. To understand this, students are asked to read Japanese letters which is one of the obstacles for students to understand Japanese culture well. Through Manna Sugoroku game students were expected to be able to read the rules using Japanese letter so students independently acquire an introduction to Japanese culture that they have never been known before and students were motivated to learn Japanese by increasing their ability in reading Japanese letter.

Abstract

Sebahagian besar guru menganggap bahwa penerapan pembelajaran berbasis proyeksukar untuk dilaksanakan karena adanya faktor sosiol ekonomi siswa, yang mana dalam pelaksanaanproyek sains tentu akan memerlukan peralatan dan bahan yang akandiperlukan siswa, sedangkan satukaedah inkuiri yang disarankan oleh Kurikulum Pendidikan Indonesia 2013 adalah pembelajaran berbasisproyek (project based learning). Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan informasi berkaitan denganpelaksanaan pembelajaran berbasis proyek di kota Pekanbaru. Kajian berbentuk survey dilakukanpada 32 orang guru dari 16 sekolah menengahdi Pekanbaru. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah sebanyak56.25 % guru setuju bahwa pembelajaran sains berbasis proyek dapat dilaksanakan apabila tersediabahan dan peralatan dari labor. Sebanyak 50 % guru menyatakan sukar mendapatkan alat dan bahanuntuk keperluan pembelajaran dari lingkungan sekitar, 56,25 % menyatakan sulit mempersiapkanmedia untuk proyek. Di sisilain,50 % guru berpendapatbahwa pembelajaran berbasisproyek membuatsiswa kreatif dan inovatif dan 75 % guru sependapat bahwa belajar sains menggunakan pembelajaranberdasarkan proyek memudahkan siswa mencapai materi pembelajaran. Berdasarkan informasi diatas dapat disimpulkan bahwa pada dasarnya guru-guru meyakini bahwa pembelajaran berabasis proyekbaik untuk dilaksanakan, namun perlu ada peralatan dan bahan yang cukup, ide-ide proyek yang akandilaksanakan, biaya proyek yang murah, serta adanya modul pengajaran berbasis proyekbagi guru danmodul pembelajaran bagi siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to increase learning motivation and outputstudent of Economic Education FKIP Riau University through contextual teaching learning. This study is Classroom Action Research (CAR) in the Evaluation of Teaching Learning Economics course of the school year 2011/2012, which was as much as two cycles. Number of students in this class there are 41 people consisting of four men and 37 women. The results showed that the activity of lecturers on the course with contextual teaching learning model becomes more comprehensive, that there are only four activity to be 10 activity. In cycle 1 activity lecturer achieve enough good category, while in cycle 2 increased to good category.. Student motivation to learn before the implementation of the action is low, while in cycle 1 had increased into enough categories and in cycle 2 increase in the high category leads to very high. Knowledge and skills learning output of students before the implementation of the action only in the category is quite low, in cycle 1 had increased, although still quite enough, and in cycle 2 increased to good category leads very well. Increasing from prior cycle  to cycle 1 and from cycle 1 to cycle 2, indicating a significant improvement on the significance level of 0.000. Fokus utama penelitian yaitu implementasi audit internal pada standar proses pendidikan.Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui peta mutu pendidikan di Sekolah.
