Abstract

This research aims to determine students' self-efficacy regarding mathematics learning outcomes. The type of research used in this research is descriptive research. The population in this study were junior high school students in Pekanbaru City, with the sample consisting of 49 students from SMP Negeri 25 Pekanbaru and SMP Negeri 34 Pekanbaru consisting of 53 students. The sampling technique in this research was simple random sampling. The data collection technique in this research was carried out by survey using questionnaires and interviews. Data analysis in this study used descriptive statistics. The results obtained from the analysis of students' self-efficacy regarding mathematics learning outcomes are in the not good category with a percentage of 55%, and 45% are in the good category. The evaluation results show that the self-efficacy of students at SMP Negeri 25 Pekanbaru and SMP Negeri 34 Pekanbaru regarding mathematics learning outcomes is in the not-good category. Teachers should play a more active role as companions, mentors, directors, and motivators in mathematics learning. With this, students will feel confident in their ability to solve mathematical problems in learning materials that are considered difficult, which will further increase students' self-efficacy regarding mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of sleep duration on the formation of students' learning motivation at SMPIT IBS Riau through a qualitative approach. The research method employed was a case study with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. Participants were purposively selected from mentoring teachers, academic teachers, and students at SMPIT IBS Riau. The research findings indicate a variety of sleep duration among students. Some students adhere well to sleep regulations, while others frequently fall short of the recommended duration. Students with adequate sleep patterns reported feeling more energetic, focused in their studies, and highly motivated, whereas those with inadequate sleep patterns experienced quick fatigue and difficulty concentrating. Factors such as family habits, extracurricular activities, and school policies influence students' sleep duration. The study concludes that sufficient sleep duration plays a crucial role in shaping students' learning motivation at SMPIT IBS Riau during classroom learning processes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning model on the mathematical creative thinking ability of students of SMK Kesehatan Bengkalis. This research is a quasi experimental research (Quasi Experiment) with a research design of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study were all students of class X SMK Kesehatan in the 2023/2024 academic year. The sample of this research is class X pharmacy A as the control class and class X pharmacy B as the experimental class, with a total of 19 control class students and 20 experimental class students. The data collection instrument in this study was the Pretest and Posttest sheets. The data collection technique was carried out with a test technique. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of the Problem Based Learning model on the creative thinking ability of students.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the need for evaluation instruments because at SMKN 3 Pekanbaru does not hold school exams so that student assessments are taken from daily exercises at the end of learning. This study aims to determine the validity, practicality and learning outcomes of students using wordwall-based evaluation instruments. This type of development research uses the R&D (Reasearch and Development) model which has been modified into 8 stages, namely potential problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, product trials, product revision and trial use. The data collection techniques used in this study were validation sheets, student and teacher response sheets and student learning outcomes tests using wordwall-based evaluation instruments. The research subjects were E phase students of SMKN 3 Pekanbaru. The results of the wordwall-based evaluation instrument validation test were 88.29% with a very valid category. The results of the practicality test of wordwall-based evaluation instruments based on teacher and learner response sheets were 91.75% with a very practical category. The learning outcomes of students using wordwall-based evaluation instruments were 92.59% with a very good category.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze research trends regarding mathematics learning in Southeast Asia on the Scopus Database. Using existing keywords, researchers selected using the PRISMA method and obtained 829 documents which were analyzed using VOSviewer and the R Program. From the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that research on mathematics learning in Southeast Asia began in 1993 and showed significant development until 2024, with a total of 829 documents published from 200 sources. Despite a decline in publications in 2013, the overall publication trend continues to show positive growth, especially after 2012. Indonesia occupies the top position in the number of publications and citations, followed by Malaysia, with Nanyang Technological University in Singapore being the leading institution. The various research focuses reflect efforts to improve the quality of mathematics learning in the region. Apart from that, the latest topics such as “online learning”, “ethnomathematics”, and “flipped classroom” are very relevant to be applied in facing educational challenges in the current digital era.
