Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the process of trial and error method in learning tahsinul Qur'an. The method of trial and error or known as the Throndike theory was proposed by Edward Lee Throndike, a behavioristic scientist. The basic principle of trial and error is the existence of a stimulus-forming relationship of messages that will be conveyed through attitudinal responses formed from the law of readiness, the law of effect, the law of practice and the law of attitude. So it takes a continuous repetitive process. In learning tahsinul Qur'an, the process of repeating greatly determines the results of learning outcomes. The main purpose of tahsinul Qur'an is to achieve the ability to read and memorize the Qur'an according to the rules of makharijul letters and the law of tajweed. The achievement of the concept of learning tahsinul Qur'an based on trial and error methods requires data analysis in the form of books, journals and other supporting theories through library research. The results of library research on the trial and error method in learning tahsinul qur'an are through the 4T process, namely Tahsinul makharijul letters and harakot, Talqin tajweed laws word for word to get consistency in the sound of tajweed law, Tajribah to get the results of reading Qur'anic verses according to the makharijul letters and consistent tajweed laws and Ta'lif-Lafdzi as the final response to achieving the process of repetition through writing and pronunciation.

Abstract

The Influence of Customer Knowledge Service and Location on Wadiah Savings Customers at PT. LKMS BMT Almabruk Batusangkar. This study aims to determine the influence of Customer Knowledge Service and Location on Wadiah Savings Customers at PT. LKMS BMT Almabruk Batusangkar. This study is a field study with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were customers of PT. LKMS BMT Almabruk Batusangkar totaling 257 people with a sample of 72 people. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and questionnaires. Data analysis used is quantitative data analysis which means using numbers to analyze data. The data obtained will be processed using SPSS version 22. The results of the study are that Customer Knowledge Service (X1) has a significant effect on Wadiah Savings Customers (Y) at PT. LKMS BMT Al-Mabruk Batusangkar. This is proven by the t-value of the Customer Knowledge Service variable (X1) of 3,950 and the t-table value of 1,667 (0.05: df = n -k -1, df = 72 - 3 - 1 = 68). Customer Knowledge Service (X1) partially influences Wadiah Savings Customers (Y). Location (X2) has a significant effect on Wadiah Savings Customers (Y) at PT. LKMS BMT Al-Mabruk Batusangkar. This is proven by the t-value of the Location variable (X2) of 4,271 and the t-table value of 1,667 (0.05: df = n - k -1, df = 72 - 3 - 1 = 68). Location (X2) partially influences Wadiah Savings Customers (Y). Customer Knowledge Service (X1) and Location (X2) influence Wadiah Savings Customers (Y) at PT. LKMS Al-Mabruk Batusangkar. This is proven by the F count of 23,543 with a significance of 0.000. It can be seen in the statistical table at a significance level of 0.05 with df 2 (number of variables - 1) = 1 and df 2 (n-k-1) or (72-3-1) = 68 with n is the number of data and k is the number of variables where the results obtained for the F table are 3.13. It can be concluded that the F count> F table (23,543> 3.13) and the significance <0.05 is (0.00 <0.05). This means that Customer Knowledge Services (X1) with Location (X2) together have an influence on Wadiah Savings Customers (Y).

Abstract

The ability to memorize the Quran is an important competency in Islamic religious education, especially for adolescents who are in the optimal cognitive development phase. In reality, not all children have the same ability to retain their memorization. This condition indicates the need for effective learning strategies. Repetition of reading is a basic technique believed to strengthen long-term memory. Meanwhile, rewards act as positive reinforcement that can increase motivation, focus, and enthusiasm for children in memorizing. The method used was a single-subject experimental design with a pre-test design, intervention with 10 repetitions of reading, reward administration, and post-test. Data analysis used visual graphic techniques (line graphs) to show changes in memorization results from the pre-test, intervention, and post-test phases. The results showed a significant increase in the number of verses memorized and memorization accuracy after the intervention of a combination of repetition of reading and rewards. Repetition of reading and rewards is very effective in improving Quran memorization ability in 14-year-old children. The intervention's effects were seen in improved scores across all assessment aspects: fluency, tajweed accuracy, verse sequence, and duration. Rewards provided additional motivation, helping subjects focus and maintain their memorization..

Abstract

Modern life is characterized by increasing activity pressures, productivity demands, and a fast-paced pace, resulting in increasingly neglected spaces for pause and rest. This situation raises the need to revisit the concept of hiatus as an essential part of maintaining a Muslim's physical, mental, and spiritual balance. This article aims to examine the concept of hiatus in the hadith through a thematic approach (maudhu'i) to authentic hadiths related to rest, self-reflection, i'tikaf, 'uzlah, and time management. The selected hadiths are grouped by theme and analyzed through their historical context and spiritual values. The results show that according to the hadith, hiatus is not simply a cessation of activity, but rather a practice of spiritual awareness that serves to awaken self-clarity, strengthen the relationship with God, and balance the physical-spiritual rhythm. Its application is evident in traditions such as i'tikaf, voluntary sleep, reading, and directed solitude. The study also found that uncontrolled hiatus has the potential to lead to laziness, neglect of responsibilities, and social alienation. This finding implies that the concept of hiatus in the hadith can be used as a basis for developing self-management and spiritual health for modern Muslims.

Abstract

The library holds a strategic role in enhancing students’ literacy, yet it is often underutilized. This study employs a qualitative research method with a case study approach to revitalize the library to be more appealing and functional for students. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation involving students, librarians, and lecturers. The findings indicate that the low utilization of the library is caused by outdated collections, uncomfortable reading spaces, and a lack of innovative services. The revitalization program included rearranging the reading space, digitizing references, and organizing literacy activities such as book discussions and writing workshops. After the revitalization, students showed increased reading interest and active participation in academic activities. Observations revealed a significant increase in weekly library visits, while interviews indicated that students felt more comfortable and motivated to access literacy resources. This study concludes that a library managed through a participatory and innovative approach can significantly improve students’ academic literacy. Therefore, a sustainable development strategy is essential to ensure that the library remains relevant and responsive to the academic needs of students in the digital era

Abstract

Indonesia, as a multicultural nation with diverse ethnicities, languages, and traditions, requires unifying instruments to strengthen its national identity. National songs serve not only as works of art but also as tools for character education and symbols of nationhood. This study aims to analyze the role of Tanah Airku by Ibu Sud in instilling tolerance and reinforcing cultural identity. The research employs a qualitative approach through a literature review of books, journal articles, and relevant documents related to national songs, multicultural education, and nationalism. The findings reveal that the simple yet meaningful lyrics of Tanah Airku evoke deep love for the homeland, loyalty, and unity. Furthermore, the song fosters tolerance by embracing ethnic, cultural, and religious differences within one shared identity, thereby reinforcing nationalism and representing peace.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the existence of a distinctive religious program at the West Sumatra Provincial Public Library, namely Islamic spiritual guidance. This program serves as a relevant strategy for fostering spiritual and moral awareness, particularly among library staff, which in turn supports the improvement of service quality. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a field research design. The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze: (1) the planning of the Islamic spiritual guidance program to enhance excellent service at the West Sumatra Provincial Public Library; (2) the implementation of the program in improving excellent service; (3) the evaluation of the Islamic spiritual guidance program in strengthening excellent service performance; and (4) the challenges and obstacles encountered during the implementation of the program. The findings reveal that: (1) the planning of the Islamic spiritual guidance program constitutes a series of strategic steps aimed at improving the quality of excellent service among library staff; (2) the implementation of Islamic spiritual guidance functions as an effort to enhance excellent service by cultivating religious values and positive work ethics among library employees; (3) the evaluation indicates that the Islamic spiritual guidance program is relevant and effective in establishing a superior service culture grounded in Islamic values, and therefore deserves to be sustained and further developed as part of the library’s service quality improvement strategy; and (4) although the implementation of Islamic spiritual guidance faces various challenges and obstacles, overcoming these issues enables the program to run more effectively and provide optimal benefits for library users, ultimately contributing positively to the improvement of excellent service quality at the West Sumatra Provincial Public Library.

Abstract

Indonesia, as a multicultural nation comprising thousands of ethnic groups, religions, languages, and traditions, faces complex challenges in maintaining social cohesion amid such diversity. Differences in identity often trigger intolerance and social conflicts that may threaten national peace. This study aims to examine and revitalize local wisdom values as a strategic approach to strengthening education for tolerance and peace in the Indonesian archipelago. The research employs a library research method by analyzing various literatures discussing customary practices, social norms, and artistic expressions that embody educational, cultural, and moral values. The findings reveal that integrating local wisdom into educational practices not only contributes to cultural preservation and the reinforcement of national identity but also effectively fosters tolerant character formation, mutual respect, and the development of a sustainable culture of peace in the era of globalization.

Abstract

This study examines Syaykh Panji Gumilang’s thought on the concepts of tolerance and peace and their relevance to educational practices at Ma’had Al-Zaytun. The research employs a library-based qualitative approach using figure study methods and content analysis of written works, speeches, and institutional documents. The study is limited to a conceptual examination and does not evaluate the controversial aspects or socio-political practices related to the figure. The findings indicate that Syaykh Panji Gumilang’s ideas emphasize openness, respect for diversity, and the cultivation of a culture of peace within Islamic educational contexts. These concepts align with multicultural education theory, Johan Galtung’s positive peace framework, and the principles of maqasid al-shari‘ah. This study contributes to the enrichment of contemporary Islamic education literature, particularly concerning efforts to foster tolerance and peace within educational institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of family education in improving the practice of Pancasila values in fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 258 Aek Nangali. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type that allows researchers to explore in depth specific phenomena in a limited context. Data collection was carried out through observation, structured interviews, and documentation involving parents, teachers, and 20 fifth-grade students as research subjects. Data analysis techniques using the Miles and Huberman model include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was tested through source triangulation and method triangulation to ensure the validity and reliability of the research results. The results show that: parents mostly use hiwar education methods with a percentage of 40%, habituation 20%, exemplary 45%, where parents apply communicative, religious, and contextual approaches in instilling Pancasila values; Family education in instilling Pancasila values faces complex dynamics between supporting and inhibiting factors. The main supporting factors include the active role of parents as role models, stable socio-economic conditions, parental education level, and a conducive social environment. Meanwhile, the main inhibiting factors are incorrect or negative parenting patterns, socio-economic problems, external environmental influences, psychological conditions, and family stability. This study confirms that family education plays a very significant role in shaping students' character and serves as the initial foundation for the internalization of Pancasila values. This research provides an important contribution to the development of character education strategies that involve the active role of families as school partners in creating a generation with Pancasila character.
