Abstract

The main objective of the study is to understand how communication ethics are applied in academic interactions on social media and to identify patterns of communication styles used by both parties. The method used is a case study with a qualitative analysis of lecturer and student conversations on Twitter/X. The data sources in this study consist of tweets and replies posted by lecturers and students in an academic context. The data collection technique was carried out by collecting relevant conversations using certain keywords and a specified time period. The data collected was then analyzed using content analysis techniques, where researchers identified themes, patterns, and ethical elements that emerged in the interaction. The results of the study indicate that although Twitter/X provides a fast and informal communication space, academic interactions still maintain certain ethical elements such as politeness and professionalism. However, challenges were also found in the form of potential misinterpretations and misunderstandings due to character limits and short writing styles. These findings indicate the importance of ethical awareness in academic communication on social media in order to create effective and harmonious interactions. In conclusion, this study contributes to developing academic communication guidelines that are in accordance with the characteristics of digital platforms, which are very relevant in the current era of educational digitalization

Abstract

The potential of Jernih Jaya Village in producing coffee is present, where there is a role of the relevant agency towards coffee farmers in Jernih Jaya Village, but the results are not yet optimal. The empowerment roles carried out by the agency include, first, providing assistance such as coffee seed support, coffee husking machines, and fertilizer assistance. Second, socialization activities, training, and mentoring. Third, promotion and management of geographic indication (IG) certification. This research aims to describe the inhibiting factors of the role of the Department of Plantation and Livestock in empowering coffee farmer communities in Jernih Jaya Village. This type of research is qualitative with a descriptive method. Data collection was conducted through interviews, observation, and documentation. The research findings indicate that the inhibiting factors for the role of the agency include a shortage of skilled human resources, where the agency only has a few employees who can lead empowerment activities. When these employees are not available, the agency struggles to find replacements. The limitations in budget or funding mean that the budget constraints faced by the agency affect the implementation of empowerment activities. The difference in perspective between the agency and coffee farmers has led to resistance from farmers to implement the agency's directives. The benefit of this research is to describe the inhibiting factors for the role of the agency and the efforts that can be made by the agency to overcome them.

Abstract

Research in the field of teaching literary writing skills is a topic that has been widely studied. Therefore, metadata from studies on this topic needs to be analyzed to uncover any novelty. This study employs bibliometric analysis using the VOSviewer application. It is a qualitative descriptive study. The data comprises 500 articles related to literary writing skills published between 2019 until 2024. Data collection was conducted using metadata sourced from Google Scholar, with the assistance of the Publish or Perish (POP) application. The data obtained was analyzed using VOSViewer. The analysis results are presented through Item Clustering, Network Visualization, Overlay Visualization, and Density Visualization. The study found that literary writing skills have been a frequently researched topic over the past five years. However, researchers can still identify novel areas through more specific subtopics. Some of the more recent topics in literary writing skills are related to the "Merdeka Belajar" era. In addition, the genre of short stories presents opportunities for further exploration in relation to writing skills. The findings of this study can serve as a foundation for other researchers to delve deeper into the subtopics within the field of teaching literary writing skills, particularly those that have not been extensively studied
