Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the values contained in Pancasila using Ferdinand de Saussure's semiotic approach, with a particular emphasis on the relationship between signifiers and signifieds. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive approach and library research techniques. Data were obtained from various literature related to semiotic theory and the concept of Pancasila. The formulation of the five principles of Pancasila, considered a sign system, is the subject of this research. The study shows that values such as divinity, humanity, unity, democracy, and social justice function as signifiers, while the texts and symbols of Pancasila serve as signifieds. Social consensus and Indonesian history determine the relationship between the two. Therefore, Pancasila functions not only as the foundation of the state but also as a series of symbols that convey shared meaning and shape national identity.

Abstract

Globalization encourages strong cultural exchange, which can influence local identities and values in Indonesian literature. The purpose of this study is to examine Pancasila as a normative foundation for the development of Indonesian literature amidst the strong currents of globalization. This research uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach combined with hermeneutic analysis. Data were obtained from secondary sources such as academic journals and documents related to Pancasila, globalization, and literature in Indonesia. The analysis was conducted through in-depth textual interpretation to discover the meaning of Pancasila values in a literary context, a comprehensive understanding, and a synthesis of interpretations. The results show that the five principles of Pancasila serve as the ethical and aesthetic foundation of Indonesian literature, maintaining a balance between global influences and the preservation of local identity. This perspective allows literary works to remain social without losing their cultural roots. This research provides a conceptual contribution to strengthening a literary paradigm based on Pancasila values in literary education, research, and practice, as an effort to strengthen national identity amidst globalization.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the tikrar method in improving students’ memorization and fluency in reciting the Qur'an in the Al-Qur’an Hadith subject on Surah An-Nahl verse 125 at MAN 1 Tuban. The research used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through in-depth interviews with one teacher and two students of class XII-I. Data were analyzed through reduction, display, and conclusion drawing, supported by source triangulation. The findings show that the tikrar method was implemented through gradual repetition of verse segments, emphasizing correct pronunciation and understanding before detailed tajwid correction. The method increased the number of students able to submit memorization in one session, accelerated memorization, and improved focus and confidence. Its effectiveness is supported by repetition as reinforcement and the integration of visual and auditory stimuli. However, students’ basic Qur’anic reading ability significantly influences the outcomes. In conclusion, the tikrar method is effective in strengthening memorization when supported by adequate foundational reading skills

Abstract

Effective biology learning should involve students actively in the learning process. However, based on a preliminary study, students’ learning outcomes were still relatively low because the learning process was teacher-centered. This study aimed to determine the effect of the Probing-Prompting learning model on students’ biology learning outcomes. This research used a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The study was conducted at SMAN 2 Tapalang during the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. The population consisted of 44 students, and the sampling technique used was total sampling, where class XI MIPA 1 served as the experimental class and class XI MIPA 2 served as the control class. Data were collected using a learning outcome test consisting of 15 multiple-choice questions and 5 essay questions administered as a pretest and posttest. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics through the independent sample t-test, after fulfilling the normality and homogeneity prerequisite tests. The results of the independent sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.00 (<0.05), indicating that the Probing-Prompting learning model had a statistically significant effect on students’ biology learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the hierarchy of needs experienced by Kaluna, the main character in the film Home Sweet Loan directed by Melvin W. Pria. The film portrays the life of a young woman who faces economic pressure alongside family responsibilities, placing her in the position of the sandwich generation. This research applies a literary psychology approach using Abraham Maslow’s hierarchy of needs as the main analytical framework. The method employed is descriptive qualitative, with data collected through observation of dialogues, scenes, and character actions that reflect the five levels of human needs: physiological, safety, social, esteem, and self-actualization. The findings indicate that Kaluna experiences various psychological dynamics and conflicts in fulfilling these needs. She strives to meet her basic needs, seeks financial stability, and maintains emotional relationships within her family. Meanwhile, her need for esteem and self-actualization is reflected in her desire for independence and recognition. This study concludes that Home Sweet Loan not only presents individual conflicts but also reflects the social realities of urban society characterized by economic pressure and complex family roles

Abstract

Education plays a fundamental role in social and economic progress, as well as character development. However, the success of this process is highly dependent on the supportive environment in which students learn. This study aims to examine in depth the influence of the school environment, encompassing physical, academic, and social aspects, on student learning outcomes at the junior high school (SMP) level. The method used was a literature review with a descriptive qualitative approach. Ten relevant scientific articles published between 2020 and 2025 were analyzed to understand the relationship between school environment variables and learning outcomes. The results indicate that the school environment makes a significant and positive contribution to junior high school student learning outcomes. An adequate physical environment, a conducive academic climate, and harmonious social relationships have been shown to progressively increase student interest, engagement, and academic achievement. These findings indicate that the school environment is a strategic investment in achieving educational goals. Therefore, creating a safe, comfortable, and supportive school environment should be a top priority for educators and stakeholders to optimize student potential and continuously improve the quality of learning. Therefore, efforts to create a positive, safe, and supportive school environment are a priority for educators and education stakeholders in order to improve the quality of learning and student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The global economy is currently facing major problems such as social inequality, environmental damage, and lack of access to economic education for the people. Economic education for the people is an important way to achieve inclusive sustainable development in this regard. This article aims to examine how economic education for the people helps achieve the three Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). SDG 8 relates to economic education for the people, decent work, and economic growth; SDG 10 relates to reducing inequality; and SDG 12 relates to responsible consumption and production. According to this study, economic education for the people has the potential to shape economic behavior that is oriented towards sustainability, cooperation, and independence. This is based on a literature review conducted by various national and international sources. Since micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia employ around 97% of the workforce and contribute more than 61% of GDP, there is ample evidence that the people's economic base plays a strategic role in supporting SDG 8. Economic education that emphasizes economic democracy, equal access, and social solidarity also helps reduce inequality (SDG 10) and encourages more sustainable production and consumption practices. This article also emphasizes that the people's economy must be further integrated into formal and non-formal education systems as a long-term policy strategy. Therefore, people's economy education is beneficial for both national development and fair, inclusive, and sustainable global development plans
