Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the Problem-Based Learning model on the learning outcomes of pattern imagery and number patterns in the fourth grade of SD Negeri 05 Padang Pasir, Padang City, for the 2024/2025 academic year. The type of research in this study is Quasi Experimental Design, which falls under the Nonequivalent Control Group Design category. The population in this study consists of all students in the fourth grade of SD Negeri 05 Padang Pasir, Padang City, totaling 59 individuals. Sampling technique is a non-probability sampling type of purposive sampling obtained from class IV A as the experimental class and class IV C as the control class. The research instrument is an objective test in the form of multiple-choice questions. Based on the analysis of the research data that has been conducted, the average pretest score of the experimental class is 58.39 and that of the control class is 56.42. After treatment was given to the experimental class using the Problem Based Learning model and the control class using the Direct Learning model, the average posttest score of the experimental class was 83.47 and that of the control class was 66.68. The analysis of the data from the hypothesis test conducted showed that t hitung was 3.83 and t tabel was 1.68. This means that t hitung > t tabel, that is 3.83 > 1.68, so the hypothesis H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected, which indicates that there is an effect of the Canva-based Problem Based Learning model on the Learning Outcomes of the States of Matter in Class IV of SD Negeri 05 Padang Pasir, Padang City.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of using technology-based tutorial videos and teaching modules on improving the basic skills of students in the mechanical engineering program at SMK 3 Mataram. This research employs a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental research design and a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The study was conducted at SMK 3 Mataram with subjects from class X majoring in Mechanical Engineering, which is divided into two classes: Class X TPM (machining engineering) and Class X TPL (welding engineering), with data collection techniques gathered through pretests and posttests to measure the effect of the learning results before and after the treatment. Test results indicate that students who use video tutorials tend to achieve higher scores compared to those who only use teaching modules. This is because video tutorials are able to present material visually and auditorily, making it easier for students to understand abstract concepts and complex practical procedures.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of information technology in enhancing mathematical problem-solving competencies. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. The subjects of this research include teachers and students who are directly involved in digital-based mathematics learning using instructional videos. Data collection techniques were conducted through semi-structured interviews, data analysis, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through several stages including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the analysis show that digital transformation in mathematics learning, particularly through the use of digital media such as learning videos on YouTube, can enhance students' understanding of concepts and their ability to solve mathematical problems, especially on topics that require visualization such as gradients. Although information technology offers various advantages, such as ease of access to learning and more engaging material presentation, its success is still influenced by factors such as the availability of devices, internet connectivity, student motivation, and the active role of teachers in providing guidance and encouragement. Thus, the success of integrating technology in mathematics learning heavily relies on the combination of appropriate digital media, adequate infrastructure support, and consistent teacher mentoring.

Abstract

Edupark is an educational park concept that combines educational and recreational elements in a contextual and enjoyable learning environment. Meer Von Kandi was selected as the location for developing a physics learning module due to its rich potential for physics concepts, strategic location, and the fact that it has not been previously used as a research object. Attractions at this site such as a water slide, tipping bucket, and a replica of a Dutch windmill contain various physics concepts including work and energy, motion kinematics, force, and rotational dynamics. This study uses the EDUPARK development model, which consists of seven stages, focusing on the first three stages, namely EDU: Edupark Finding, Direct Observation, and Understanding of Teacher, Student, and Curriculum Characteristics. Data were collected through direct observation, teacher interviews, and student questionnaires. The results indicate that most students have a dominant visual learning style, yet their recognition of physics concepts in the tourist site remains low. These findings serve as a fundamental basis for designing a contextual physics learning module based on Problem Based Learning (PBL), which is relevant to the surrounding environment and can enhance students’ interest and understanding in learning physics.
