Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of students' ability to understand mathematical concepts by using the Realistic Mathematics Approach (PMR). This study is a pseudo-experimental research with posttest only control group design. The population of this study is all students of grade XI SMK Negeri 6 Medan even semester of the 2025 school year with a total of 280 students and distributed into 8 classes. The sample of this study is class X Accounting 1 with a total of 36 students as an experimental class and class X Accounting 2 with a total of 35 students as a control class. Data were collected using tests and statistically analyzed to find out the differences between the two classes. The results of the hypothesis test with the Mann Whitney U test, it is known that the value of Z-count = 1.879 is more than Z-critical = 1.645. This shows that the median concept understanding of students who follow learning with the PMR Approach is higher than the median concept understanding that follows regular learning. The average value of students' concept understanding in the class applying the PMR approach x ̅=62 was higher than the class that followed the usual learning where x ̅=53. Thus, it can be concluded that the understanding of mathematical concepts of students who participate in learning with the PMR approach is higher than the understanding of mathematical concepts of students who follow ordinary learning

Abstract

This study aims to test the influence of the Guided Discovery Learning learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of grade III students at SDN 07 Pontianak Kota. The method used is an experiment with a quasi-experimental approach, where the free variable is the Guided Discovery Learning (X) model and the bound variable is the learning outcome of grsade III students (Y). The research sample consisted of 38 students in grade III of SDN 07 Pontianak Kota, class IIIA as the control class and class IIIB as the experimental class. Data was collected through Pretest and Posttest tests in each class. The resulting data was analyzed using statistical tests. The pretest and posttest scores showed that the Guided Discovery Learning model had a positive effect on learning outcomes, in the experimental class the average score of the pretest was 60.9 and the posttest was 74.7, while in the control class, the average score of the pretest was 58.2 and the posttest was 64.2. The results of the hypothesis test also showed Sig. (2-tailed) values of 0.009 and 0.007, which means that H_a was accepted and H_o rejected. It was concluded that the Guided Discovery Learning learning model in the experimental class showed a better improvement in learning outcomes compared to the control class. This difference shows that the guided discovery learning model has a positive influence on students' Mathematics learning outcomes in Grade III SDN 07 Pontianak Kota

Abstract

One of the technological innovations that can be used is WEB 3D-based learning media, which combines visual elements and text in a more real way. The following research intends to develop a WEB-Based 3D Learning Media equipped with a QR Code as a support for Solar System materials for grade VII junior high school students. This media is designed to be valid, practical, and effective in improving student understanding. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4-D development model approach, which includes four main stages: define, design, develop, and disseminate. The research instruments include validation questionnaires, practicality questionnaires, and effectiveness questionnaires. The data obtained were analyzed using the Likert scale and the Guttman scale to assess the level of validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the developed learning media. The results of the 3D media validity test obtained a very valid category with an average score of 85%. The results of the practical test on the use of 3D media from teachers and students are in the very practical category with a teacher response questionnaire score of 93% and student responses of 94%. The effectiveness of the use of 3D media on students' learning interests is very effective with a student response questionnaire score of 91%. Thus, the following research has produced a WEB-based 3D science learning media on Solar System material for grade VII junior high school that is valid, practical, effective and ready to be disseminated.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to produce a multiplication wheel media product to increase the learning interest of fourth grade students at SD 06 East Pontianak. This research includes the development of Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model developed by Dick and Carry consisting of five steps, including (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development, (4) implementation, (5) evaluation. The development of this learning media was validated by media experts and material experts. The validation results from all experts show that the development of this multiplication wheel learning media is very feasible, practical and effective for use in class IV elementary schools. This is proven by validation from media experts and material experts as well as student responses and effectiveness trials on students (measured by interest questionnaire questions). The average percentage of media experts is 92% in the "very feasible" category, the average percentage of material experts is 80% in the "decent" category. The average percentage result of the practicality questionnaire was 98% in the "very practical" category. The average results of the feasibility test before using the media were 49.58 low interest in learning, after using the media 95.83 high interest in learning. The final result of the average value of the interest questionnaire before and after being calculated using the N-gain formula was 0.93 according to the criteria for the success of the multiplication wheel media in the very effective category.

Abstract

Education is basically an investment in human resource development that is indispensable in society. One of the important skills that must be possessed in the era of globalization is the ability to solve problems. Students are considered to be able to solve problems if they are able to understand, choose strategies, and then apply them in problem solving. But in reality, students' problem-solving skills are still low. Therefore, learning resources are needed that can train problem-solving skills. One of the learning resources that can be developed is electronic enrichment books. This study uses the R&D research method. The model used in this study is the 4-D model. The population in this study is 78 students in grade XI Phase F for the 2024/2025 school year. The sample of this study was carried out by random sampling with the research subject of physics lecturers of FMIPA UNP with a total of 3 lecturers. Based on the results of the research of the electronic enrichment book entitled "Sitinjau Lauik from the Perspective of Physics" which was developed, a validity score was obtained from 3 experts with an average score of 0.82 with very valid criteria. Based on this, electronic enrichment books that are developed and arranged in such a way can be used as a physics learning resource that trains the problem-solving skills of high school students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of learning motivation, learning independence, executive function, and confidence on students' mathematical literacy skills. This research is a quantitative research. The research sample consisted of a number of high school students who were selected through random sampling techniques. Data were collected through questionnaires and mathematical literacy tests, then analyzed for path analysis to determine the contribution of each independent variable to the dependent variable. The results showed that there was a significant influence between learning motivation, learning independence, executive function, and confidence on students' mathematical literacy skills, both partially and simultaneously. There is an influence between learning motivation, learning independence, and self-confidence directly on executive function. Literacy ability is directly influenced by executive function and learning motivation significantly. Meanwhile, learning independence and self-confidence do not have a significant direct effect on mathematical literacy skills. However, learning independence and self-confidence affect mathematical literacy skills indirectly through executive functions. These findings show that strengthening psychological and cognitive factors is indispensable in improving students' mathematical literacy.
