Abstract

This research used a survey technique to investigate the beneficial impact of green supply chain management methods on the economic performance of SMEs in East Java. The study examines the exemplary leaders and managers of MSMEs. We conduct sampling using the purposive sampling approach. The structural equation modeling (SEM) method is used as the data analysis tool. The study results indicate that green buying positively influences investment recovery and improves the performance of SMEs. Likewise, Eco-Design demonstrates a positive influence on investment recovery, hence augmenting its effect on the performance of SMEs. Moreover, investment recovery improves the performance of SMEs by maximizing asset usage and operational efficiency. This study underscores the beneficial effects of green buying and eco-design on the economic performance of SMEs, demonstrating their potential to provide higher investment returns and improved operational efficiency. Investment recovery serves as a mediating variable between sustainable practices and corporate results, highlighting the possibility for development and success in this domain.

Abstract

Agro-tourism, the fusion of agriculture and tourism, is emerging as a viable strategy for rural development, especially in regions with rich agricultural heritage and scenic landscapes. This paper explores the potential of agro-tourism in the Kashmir Valley, a region known for its fertile land, traditional farming practices, and natural beauty. The study highlights the economic, social, and environmental benefits of agro-tourism, such as income diversification for farmers, job creation, and environmental sustainability. It also addresses the challenges that hinder the development of agro-tourism in Kashmir, including inadequate infrastructure, political instability, limited awareness among farmers, and environmental concerns. The paper emphasizes the need for strategic investments in infrastructure, farmer education, and effective marketing to promote the Kashmir Valley as a unique agro-tourism destination. Additionally, it discusses the importance of public-private sector collaboration and policy support to foster growth in the sector. Through sustainable practices and the preservation of local culture and traditions, agro-tourism in Kashmir can contribute to rural development, empower local communities, and provide an authentic experience for tourists. The findings suggest that with careful planning and execution, agro-tourism has the potential to play a significant role in revitalizing the region’s economy while promoting environmental conservation and cultural heritage.

Abstract

Coffee is one of the strategic commodities in the plantation sub-sector that has high economic value. The development of the coffee shop business in Medan City has led to competition in the coffee shop sector which has caused consumers to be more selective and can easily move from one coffee shop to another to decide to buy coffee. The increase in competition requires companies to highlight their own characteristics and uniqueness in order to be superior to other companies that offer similar products and of course attract consumers' attention. Therefore, management needs to pay attention to and consider the store atmosphere if they want to attract, entice, or encourage consumers to visit the cafe so that consumer satisfaction will be realized and consumers will be interested in visiting. The data analysis technique in this study was carried out with classical assumptions and multiple linear regression tests. The results of this study indicate that the Lifestyle Variable has a coefficient value of 0.714 indicating that the more relevant the consumer's lifestyle is to the products or services offered, the more likely consumers will make a decision to buy. The Brand Image variable has a coefficient value of 0.309 indicating that positive consumer perceptions of the brand can increase consumer decisions to buy and the Store Atmosphere variable has a coefficient value of -0.284 indicating a significant negative influence, meaning that the worse the store atmosphere, the less likely consumers will decide to buy. Overall, consumer decisions are greatly influenced by a combination of lifestyle, brand image, and cafe atmosphere. Therefore, an integration strategy of these three aspects needs to be carried out consistently.

Abstract

This study was conducted in Central Aceh Regency, known as one of the largest coffee producers in Indonesia. Coffee is an important economic sector for the local community, but challenges related to waste management and environmental sustainability are still significant. This study aims to analyze the zero waste business model strategy in coffee MSMEs using SWOT analysis and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). The results of IPA indicate that technology adoption, infrastructure development, coffee derivative products, and government policies are important aspects that require more attention. However, the understanding of business actors, technology adoption, and consumer awareness are considered good and need to be maintained. Stakeholder involvement is considered sufficient, while supply chain efficiency meets expectations but does not require high priority. The SWOT analysis reveals that the strengths of coffee MSMEs include resources and access to technology that support the zero waste business model. However, the main weaknesses include limited understanding of business actors, inadequate infrastructure, and suboptimal development of coffee waste-based derivative products. Opportunities include supply chain efficiency, minimal similar competitors, and high consumer interest in innovation. On the other hand, the main threat comes from less supportive government policies.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Effect of Twin Deficit on Economic Growth in Indonesia. This study uses a data analysis model with stationarity test, determination of Lag Length, granger causality test and VAR estimation consisting of Impulse Response Function (IRF) and Forecast Error Variance Decomposition (FEVD). The results of this study indicate that EG has a causal effect on BD, while no significant causal relationship was found from BD to EG. Meanwhile, based on the results of VAR estimation, the budget deficit variable has a positive and significant coefficient on economic growth in the short term, indicating that an increase in the budget deficit can provide a temporary boost to economic growth. IRF analysis shows that shocks to the budget deficit cause a positive response to economic growth.

The type of research used is quantitative research. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical method and panel data regression analysis (Eviews). The sample in this study was conducted on banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange by implementing the Green Banking financing concept in Indonesia for 5 periods, namely 2019 - 2023. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of green banking, capital adequacy ratio, non-performing loans, operating expenses to operating income (BOPO), loan to deposit ratio and total assets have a significant effect on return on assets. Green banking practice has a positive effect on bank financial performance. Non-performing loans have a negative effect on return on assets. Operating expenses to operating income (BOPO) have a negative effect on return on assets. Liquidity (LDR) has a positive effect on return on assets. Cost efficiency ratio has a negative effect on bank financial performance. Bank size can moderate green banking on return on assets. Company size can moderate CAR. Company size cannot moderate NPL. Company size cannot moderate the operational efficiency ratio (BOPO).

The population in this study is the Indonesian Quarantine Agency. This research uses data. The data obtained through distributing questionnaires was then analyzed using SmartPLS tools. The results of the study at α 5% show that Internal Control has a significant positive effect on the Quality of Financial Statements, Organizational Commitment has a significant positive effect on the Quality of Financial Statements, Implementation of SAKTI has a significant positive effect on the Quality of Financial Statements, while Human Resource Competence has an insignificant positive effect on the Quality of Financial Statements, Practical implications increase the commitment of government agencies to provide competent personnel in their fields and Educational Institutions encourage the government to implement this. This research supports the theory proposed and there are still other factors outside this research model, and further research should use different tests and access more practical questionnaires.
