Abstract

Energy consumption that still use fossil energy or non-renewable energy has a negative impact on the environment. Alternative energy innovations or renewable energy have also begun to be developed to replace fossil energy or non-renewable energy. This study aims to determine whether other types of plants that wasn’t used by Helder could also generate electricity and reduce the impact of non-renewable energy. This research was conducted by placing electrodes on the soil close to the roots of the plants. In this experiment, we used 3 types of plants that are common at home, namely Chrysanthemum, Orchid, and Red Begonia. The results show that there is indeed a very small flow of electricity, this could possibly due to various factors. If this experiment continues to develop, the possibility of green-electrical energy could be more than just a dream. Based on experiments using a prototype that we have done, the three plants have the potential to produce electric currents in the range of 0.02mA-0.65mA.

Abstract

Ecological Crisis is a change in world weather which is getting warmer due to the accumulation of CO2 gas in the atmosphere. Burning rock coal which is a source of electricity generation, is a contributor to the effects of the ecological crisis in the world. This caused the world needs new energy sources, such as piezoelectric, etc. The manufacture of piezoelectric mats as house bells aims to show that there is alternative energy for power generation in order to reduce the use of coal in Indonesia. By reducing the use of coal, it will reduce the occurrence of an ecological crisis. The research method we used was an experiment with planning, design and implementation stages. The renewal of this project is to assemble and apply the piezoelectric directly to objects that require electrical energy by replacing the power source from the piezoelectric system, and implementing it for house bells. Piezoelectric mat is a mat that can generate electrical energy if the surface is pressed. This energy can be generated from the piezoelectric that is installed on the inside of the mat. Piezo mats will be installed to be stepped on by guests visiting a house. This foot step will put pressure on the mat. The more tread is obtained, the more electricity is generated. This piezo carpet will be installed in front of the house. The use of piezo mats is an effort to utilize mechanical energy in the form of pressure generated by footrests into electrical energy.

Abstract

Indonesia has implemented online learning in the past 2 years as an effort to minimize the transmission of the Covid-19 virus. The purpose of this study is to determine and measure reading literacy skills by providing treatment which is expected to increase reading interest in school students. The implementation of this community service program is expected to increase student interest in learning and be able to help facilitate teachers and parents in guiding and assisting children in online learning. Included in literacy learning using the 4M method as an effort to increase student interest in reading in elementary schools with inclusive education is carried out online. The method in this study uses quantitative methods. The results showed that there are still many elementary school students who do not know and understand literacy learning using the 4M method. Students' understanding of literacy learning using the 4M method can be improved by providing material through learning videos that can be accessed on YouTube provided by educators. The results showed that the average post-test score of students was 87.0% greater than the average pre-test score of 47.75% with a difference of 39.25%. Therefore, core competencies can increase students' interest in reading literacy.

Abstract

Bangladesh is still lagging behind many countries in adopting legal technology to reinforce the judicial system’s quality because multiple factors affect the quality of legal service provisioning. One of the main factors is the improper interaction between lawyers and clients on various legal issues. Consequently, clients face difficulties finding appropriate lawyers, estimating the duration and expenses of the case, and sometimes losing money due to excessive legal charges. This paper presents an operational web framework that links lawyers and clients in the context of Bangladesh’s legal services system. The framework comprises several modules with a variety of functionalities, such as creating portfolios of lawyers, filtering and hiring preferred lawyers, getting free legal support, estimating time and amount of legal costs, evaluating the lawyers, and the facility of making a complaint about the inappropriate quality of services. However, most of the functionalities of all modules have been experimented with as a prototype through a web application. The results show the usability and applicability of the framework that establishes a client-lawyer relationship paradigm to improve the quality of the legal services system of Bangladesh.

Abstract

This research focuses on finding solutions to get around the energy crisis. This study aimed to know the effectiveness of household waste (vegetable waste) biogas using a starter mixture of cow dung and EM4. What is new from this research is the use of household waste as biogas energy. The research method used is the study of literature from various journals and articles, accurate and reliable. Various journals and conceptual articles were obtained from google scholar and the liputan6.com website page. From the experimental results, the more the composition of vegetable waste, the higher the pressure, but the less the flame. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that biogas made from vegetable waste alone is quite effective to be used as a solution to the energy crisis problem (to replace LPJ gas, to be precise) because of the large amount of methane produced. However, if we are want to be an innovation for successful village development, biogas from household waste (vegetable waste) can be used by adding cow dung as the main ingredient. So that methane is produced in large quantities according to the amount of material used.
