Abstract

Bullying is a complex problem that significantly impacts individuals' mental, social, and spiritual development. This research aims to analyze the causative factors of bullying, its effects on victims and perpetrators, and to formulate handling strategies based on Islamic values in Percut Sei Tuan District. Using a descriptive qualitative method, data were obtained through in-depth interviews with five key informants, participatory observation, and documentation study, which were then analyzed thematically. The results show that bullying is caused by disharmonious family factors, social environmental pressure, and weak supervision from educational institutions and the community. The impacts include psychological disturbances such as trauma and anxiety, social isolation, and decreased academic performance in victims, while perpetrators develop continuous aggressive behavioral patterns. Effective handling strategies identified include character education based on Islamic values, cooperation between schools and parents, community education, and religious-based approaches through Islamic counseling. This research concludes that the integration of Islamic values such as rahmah (compassion), 'adl (justice), and ukhuwah (brotherhood) in bullying handling strategies can create a more harmonious and conducive social environment for individual development.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether the impact of Social Media Comparison can influence body image formation among young adults, especially Instagram users. This study is a field research with a descriptive qualitative research design. The data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used in this study is the interactive model approach by Miles & Huberman, which consists of three stages: reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study prove that social media comparison can influence and have a significant impact on individuals' views in forming body image and beauty standards as reflected in their thoughts. In terms of positive impacts, social media can serve as a platform for individuals to express themselves and obtain relevant and up-to-date information. However, social media use can also have negative impacts, one of which is social comparison, which can lead to various psychological health disorders such as stress, excessive anxiety, poor body image, feelings of inferiority, and an increased risk of depression, which can lead to other mental disorders that can endanger individual health.

Abstract

Law No. 44/1999 on the Implementation of Aceh's Specialty and Law No. 11/2006 on the Government of Aceh authorize Aceh to formulate its own criminal law products based on Islamic Sharia. This research discusses the contradiction in the regulation of punishment against perpetrators of sexual abuse against children in Aceh which is regulated in Qanun Jinayat and national laws and regulations such as the Criminal Code, Law No. 12 of 2022 concerning Criminal Acts of Sexual Violence, and Law No. 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection. This paper uses a juridical-normative approach by focusing on juridical analysis and a legal philosophy approach by examining the concept of legal certainty in a normative- positivistic perspective and legal certainty in an Islamic perspective. The results of this study indicate that synchronization between national law and sharia law in Aceh is needed to eliminate norm inconsistencies that can weaken the effectiveness of law enforcement. The Attorney General's Office in Aceh as a Law Enforcement Official also needs to change the prosecution paradigm that prioritizes the interests of the perpetrator to be more in favor of the victim. Because, in Islamic law, the purpose of punishment is not only limited to retribution, but also includes prevention (deterrence), repair (reformation), and education for the community (al-tahzib). Therefore, ideally, the regulation of criminal law in Aceh is not only oriented towards formal legal certainty, but must also pay attention to aspects of benefit so that the law can provide more effective protection for victims.

Abstract

This study focuses on the role of Baitul Maal wa Tamwil (BMT) UGT Nusantara, Raas Sub-district Branch Office in improving the performance of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the archipelago that have limited access to conventional financing. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach, which allows for an in-depth understanding of the socio-economic context and local characteristics through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles and Huberman technique which includes data reduction, presentation, and verification. The results of the study indicate that BMT UGT Nusantara not only provides sharia-based financing through the Modal Usaha Barokah (MUB) program with the Rahn contract, but also provides mentoring and entrepreneurship education that significantly increases the managerial capacity and productivity of MSMEs. The success of BMT in encouraging increased income and expansion of MSME businesses cannot be separated from the support of social capital and the active role of the sub-district government. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of Islamic microfinance institutions as agents of holistic local economic empowerment, as well as the need to develop integrated financing programs with assistance to ensure the sustainability and inclusiveness of MSME growth in remote areas.

Abstract

This study focuses on the application of caning sanctions in criminal law in Aceh, especially in cases of prostitution, by examining the historical, legal, and cultural dimensions as the basis for the legitimacy of the punishment. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach, including legal document analysis, in-depth interviews, and field observations to obtain comprehensive empirical data. The results of the study indicate that caning punishment is not merely a product of formal law, but also a symbol of social and moral control that is strongly legitimized by religious traditions and local cultural norms. The implications of this study emphasize the need for a multidimensional understanding in enforcing sharia law in order to adapt to the principles of human rights and the ever-evolving social dynamics of Acehnese society.

Abstract

This study focuses on the preferences of the Randuati Village community towards informal mediation mechanisms by the village head in resolving land disputes. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, data were obtained through in-depth interviews and participatory observations. The results of the study indicate that the choice of informal mediation is not only due to limited access to the formal legal system, but further reflects collective trust in the social and historical authority of the village head. This confirms the existence of legal pluralism, where formal law and local law not only coexist but also influence each other in the practice of conflict resolution. The village head acts as a legal broker who bridges state law with the law that lives in society. The implications of this finding emphasize that justice at the grassroots level is the result of a complex interaction between norms, culture, and social structures. This study makes an important contribution to the development of more contextual and community-based agrarian policies, as well as opening up space for strengthening local mediation systems that are responsive to community needs.

Abstract

This study focuses on legal protection of the rights of children left behind by parents who migrate economically for farming, with case studies in Soki Village, Ncera Village, and Diha Village, Bima Regency. In this context, children often experience indirect care that has the potential to ignore the fulfillment of their basic rights, such as the right to education, protection, and affection. This study uses a normative legal approach with legislative and case approach techniques, and is analyzed in a juridical-qualitative manner. Data were obtained through literature studies and documentation of national regulations, international conventions, and relevant scientific literature. The results of the study indicate that there is a gap between applicable legal norms and their implementation in the field. Legal protection for children in this situation has not been effective, especially due to the absence of a monitoring mechanism that is adaptive to seasonal migration patterns. The implications of this study emphasize the urgency of establishing a community-based protection system and regional policies that are responsive to indirect care patterns in agrarian areas. In addition, there needs to be cross-sector integration between village governments, educational institutions, and child protection institutions to ensure the fulfillment of children's rights in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

This study focuses on the psychosocial and academic impacts experienced by high school students as victims of cyberbullying. The main objective of this study is to identify the forms of digital bullying experienced by students and explore the emotional and social responses that arise as a result of the incident. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, data were collected through in-depth interviews with five students who were victims of cyberbullying, direct observation in the school environment, and supporting documentation. The results of the study showed that all respondents experienced psychological stress such as deep shame, excessive anxiety, and fear in social interactions, both online and offline. In addition, cyberbullying also has an impact on decreased concentration in learning, academic achievement, and reluctance to participate in school activities. The variation in social support received by victims also shows a significant gap in the student assistance and protection system at school. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of collaborative interventions between schools, families, and digital communities to build a comprehensive detection, assistance, and recovery system for victims of cyberbullying. This study also recommends strengthening digital literacy and legal education as part of a long-term preventive strategy.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of clinical supervision at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Binjai and its impact on improving teachers' pedagogical competence. Using descriptive qualitative methods, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The results show that the principal plays an important role in improving teachers' teaching skills through planned training programs, including the preparation of Learning Implementation Plans (RPP) and the use of effective learning media. The systematic clinical supervision process, from planning to evaluation, creates a productive and collaborative learning environment, and optimizes interactions between teachers and the principal. Open communication and emotional support from the principal have been shown to increase teacher motivation and confidence in the teaching process. However, challenges faced include teacher discomfort during the supervision process and the need for adjustments in the implementation of the new curriculum. Recommendations include the development of more focused training programs and increased communication between teachers and management to create a supportive atmosphere, which is expected to provide a positive contribution to the development of education at Madrasah Aliyah and improve the quality of student learning outcomes as a whole.
