Abstract

Employee burnout in modern work environments is a growing issue, impacting performance and well-being. Burnout, involving emotional exhaustion and reduced accomplishment, negatively affects employees. Conversely, social support from colleagues and supervisors offers protection against burnout and enhances performance. This study aims to examines the impact of burnout and social support on the performance of employees at PT. Sulselbar Bank. The research follows a quantitative approach and includes a sample of 110 employees. Data collection was done through a questionnaire, and the analysis involved validity and reliability tests, multiple regression analysis, classic assumption tests, T-tests, and F-tests. The findings indicate a negative relationship between burnout (X1) and employee performance (Y), while social support (X2) has a positive influence on employee performance. The multiple linear regression equation is expressed as Y = 31.664 + (-0.394)X1 + 0.358X2. The t-tests show significant results with t- statistic values of -2.584 for X1 and 3.950 for X2, exceeding the t-table value of 1.982. The significance levels are 0.011 for X1 and 0.000 for X2, both below 0.05. Additionally, the F-test demonstrates a significant relationship between the variables, with an F-statistic of 11.102 exceeding the F-table value of 3.08, and a significance level of 0.000 below 0.05. As such, this study highlights that burnout negatively and significantly affects employee performance, while social support has a positive and significant impact. Both burnout and social support jointly and significantly influence employee performance, emphasizing the importance of addressing burnout and fostering a supportive work environment.

Abstract

Employee job satisfaction is a crucial factor that impacts organizational performance and productivity. A satisfied workforce tends to be more engaged, motivated, and committed to their work, leading to improved overall performance. One of the key determinants of job satisfaction is the work environment, both physical and non-physical. This study aimed to examine the impact of the physical work environment and non-physical work environment on employee job satisfaction at the Makassar City Regional Employment and Human Resources Development Agency. The study utilized primary and secondary data, with a sample size of 57 respondents. A quantitative approach was employed, and the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The data were processed using SPSS 21 for statistical analysis to test the three hypotheses. The findings of the study revealed that the physical work environment variable had a significant effect on employee job satisfaction (t-statistic = 2.083, p < 0.05), and the non-physical work environment variable also had a significant effect (t-statistic = 5.682, p < 0.05). Furthermore, when considering both the physical work environment and non-physical work environment variables together, they collectively had a significant effect on employee job satisfaction (F-statistic = 89.813, p < 0.05).

Abstract

With the increasing popularity of social media platforms like Instagram, it is crucial to understand the relationship between platform usage and cyberbullying behavior in order to promote a safe online environment for adolescents. This study aims to investigate the impact of using Instagram online media on cyberbullying behavior among teenagers at SMK 18 Jakarta. A quantitative approach is employed, utilizing a correlational method to examine the relationship between at least two factors. The study population consists of all students attending SMKN 18 Jakarta in grades 10, 11, and 12 in 2020, with a total of 210 students. The sample size of 100 students is determined using purposive sampling techniques. Data collection techniques include questionnaire deployment, field observation, interviews, and literature review. Validity and reliability testing are conducted using the Person Product moment correlation technique, and the data are analyzed using SPSS version 23. The study findings reveal that Instagram usage significantly influences cyberbullying behavior. The coefficient of determination analysis reveals that the Instagram variable explains 53.8% of the variance in cyberbullying behavior, while the remaining 46.2% can be attributed to other factors not examined in this study. This research highlights the need to address cyberbullying on Instagram and promote responsible social media usage among teenagers. Strategies should be developed to increase awareness of the impact of cyberbullying and foster empathy among users. Educational initiatives and support systems can help mitigate the negative effects of cyberbullying and create a safer online environment for adolescents.

Abstract

Clemency is a presidential privilege that entails changes, waivers, reductions, or the elimination of criminal executions granted by the President. The scope of clemency is defined in Law No. 5 of 2010, which amends Law No. 22 of 2002 concerning Clemency. The applicable ruling must have a permanent legal force (Inkracht). Clemency can be sought for individuals sentenced to death, life imprisonment, or a minimum sentence of 2 years in prison. This study focuses on the case of Suud Rusli, a death row inmate who unsuccessfully attempted to apply for clemency but was subsequently executed. The research aims to answer the following questions: "What is the procedure for implementing clemency for the death penalty in Indonesia?" and "What is the basis for the Constitutional Court rejecting the Applicant's Application in Decision No. 32/PUU-XIV/2016?" The author uses the Juridical-Normative method, analyzing relevant legal materials, literature, principles, and theories related to the Implementation of Clemency in the Indonesian Criminal Law System (specifically, the Decision of the Constitutional Court No. 32/PUU-XIV/2016). The study reveals significant developments in the submission of clemency for death penalty cases, including a shift from the traditional hanging method under Article 11 of the Penal Code to the usage of Law No. 12/Pnps/1964 on The Procedure of Execution of The Death Penalty Imposed by the Court In the General And Military Court. The Constitutional Court, as one of Indonesia's highest judicial institutions, plays a crucial role in providing a reasoned basis for the consideration of clemency-related matters.

Abstract

In the context of distance learning, educators face limitations in utilizing traditional learning media, prompting the need to explore alternative approaches for self-evaluation activities. This research focuses on the development of an offline desktop version of an entrepreneurial mind mapping tool as a learning medium. The objectives of this study are twofold: 1) to analyze the feasibility of an interactive learning medium based on mind mapping, and 2) to assess its practicality in terms of structure and implementation. Data collection involved documentation methods, interviews, review sheets, expert validation, and questionnaires. The study employed the 4D stages (define, design, develop, disseminate) to develop the product in an e-module format. The findings indicate that the developed learning medium is highly feasible and practical. It significantly enhances students' understanding compared to other learning media, as evidenced by the measured results. Students responded positively to the developed media, suggesting that interactive learning media based on mind mapping in entrepreneurship courses can effectively support student understanding, especially in the context of distance learning.
