Abstract

AbstractThe problem in this research is "Is there any influence of media use dakon number to learning result of FPB and KPK of fourth grade student of State Elementary School 34 Pontianak Kota?". The research method used in this research is the experimental method with quasi experimental design (Quasi Experimental Design), with the Nonequivalent Control Group Design experiment design. The sample selection was done by simple random sampling technique. Data collection tool in the form of observation sheet, document of learning result, and test result of student learning in the form of essay matter with 10 question. Based on the statistical calculation of the average learning result of the final test of the experimental class 79,20 and the mean of final test result of control class 67,68 obtained the final test data counted 2,549 and ttable (α= 5% and dk 32 + 33 -2 = 64) of 1.670133, because tcount (2.549)> ttable (1.670133), then Ha is accepted. So, it can be concluded that there is influence of media use dakon number to learning outcomes of FPB and KPK grade IV students of State Elementary School 34 Pontianak City. From the calculation of effect size (ES), obtained ES of 0.583 (medium criterion). This means the use of media dakon number on learning FPB and KPK gives a moderate effect on student learning outcomes in grade IV State Elementary School 34 Pontianak City. Keywords: Influence, Media Dakon Numbers, Learning Outcomes.

Abstract

 AbstractThe research is to determine the effectiveness of learning strategy “mind mapping” on students' understanding on the material “circulatory system” of eighth graders of Gembala Baik Pontianak Junior High School. The research uses quasi-experimental designs with nonequivalent control group design plan. The samples consist of two classes, VIII C as the experiment class and VIII E as the control class.  The research’s instrument used is 20 multiple choice items. The result indicates  the mind mapping strategy  is better than expository strategy. The increasing of the mean score from 7.33 to 16.67 for the experiment class. And from 7.14 to 14.65 for the control class. From Mann-Whitney U test, Zcount < Ztable (-4.24 < -1.96),  there are differences of students’ understanding. The result of Effect Size (0.92), gets the area of 0.3212 ( O-Z table). It means that the mind mapping learning strategy gives an effectiveness of 32.12% on students’ understanding. Abstract

 AbstractThis study aims to analyze the influence of the application of whole language approach of guided reading component of poetry reading skill of grade V students of State Elementary School 14 Pontianak Selatan. The research method used is the experimental method, while the research form used is the sample population. Data collection techniques used in this study is a measurement technique with the scoring of students' poetry reading skills. Based on result of data analysis from mean value of result of pre-test 50 and average post-test 68,517. The result of t test obtained t table on the significant level α = 5% is 2.086. Because t count (16,405) > t table (2,042), then hypothesis testing of post-test data is accepted if t count > t table then alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. From the calculation of effect size (ES), obtained by 0.143 Learning by applying the whole language approach of guided reading component gives a big influence to the poetry reading skill of grade V students of State Elementary School 14 Pontianak Soulth. Keywords: Influence, Whole Language Approach Guided Reading Components, Poetry     Reading Skills

Abstract

 AbstractThis research was conducted driven by the desire to document and inventory words and phrases in terms of fishing activities in the Sungai Landak stream. Problems discussed in this research, namely the form of lingual units, lexical meanings, cultural meanings and inventory of the term by using computerized linguistics Wesay. This research uses three methods including observation method, skill method, and descriptive method. Result of research of term fishing activity in Sungai Landak on Bidayuh language of Bemak dialect, (1) lingual unit form, divided into single word, derivative and phrase; (2) lexical meaning based on the category of noun appliance, result and activity verb; (3) the cultural meaning of abstinence with 3 data, consisting of abstinence, arrogance, not to mention crocodiles and myths with 4 data consisting of myths of misfortune, mythological ghost of water, mythical bird of bice 'keto' as nature marker; (4) an inventory by computerized linguistic Wesay, which produces a mini-dictionary related to fisheries. Keywords: Terminology, Fishing, Sense, Wesay

Abstract

Abstract:The problem in this research is how Motivation learn dribble in game of soccer at student of class X High School State 9 Pontianak? This study aims to determine the motivation to learn to dribble in a soccer game on the students of class X High School State 9 Pontianak. Variables are the factors or symptoms observed in the research. The variables in this study is the motivation to learn in dribbling on the 9th grade students of State Senior High School 9 Pontianak. the method used in this research is descriptive method that aims to know the motivation to learn dribble in the game of football in the students of class X High School State 9 Pontianak. The form used is a survey of research that seeks to see the situation without giving treatment, and in this study. The population in this study were 318 sample students in this study using Cluster Sampling (Area Sampling) with a total of 64 students. Data collection techniques use measurement techniques. The data collection tool uses a questionnaire. Data analysis technique of data analysis technique used in this research is by questionnaire or questionnaire technique.Based on the data analysis can be seen that the motivation to learn dribbling in the game of football students in the class X High School State 9 Pontianak achieve the actual score of 5517 from the ideal score of 8192 means reaching 67.35% than it should, thus belonging to the category "Good". This can be interpreted that the overall aspect of learning motivation to dribble in a student's soccer game in the 9th grade of State Senior High School 9 Pontianak is good. Keywords: Learning Motivation, Soccer

Abstract

AbstractThis research is to improve students' speaking ability by using class V demonstration method of State Elementary School 02 Betung River, Bengkayang Regency. The method used is descriptive method with class action research form. The study was conducted in three cycles and each cycle consisted of one meeting with a time allocation of 3 x 35 minutes. The results of the teacher's ability to plan lessons from cycle I with an average score of 3.48 to 3.70 in cycle II to 3.81 in cycle III and can be categorized very well. The result of teacher ability in conducting learning from the average value of cycle I 3.41 to 3.66 in cycle II, to 3.87 in cycle III and can be categorized very well. Improving students' speaking ability by using class V demonstration method is evidenced by the average achievement of students in the first cycle of 77.77, in the second cycle of 82.14 and in the third cycle of 84.52. Based on this data analysis, it can be concluded that the demonstration method can be used to improve the speaking ability of grade V students of Secondary School 02 Sungai Betung, Bengkayang Regency. Keywords: Speaking skills, Demonstration methods

Abstract

Abstract:This research is based on the problem of children aged 3-4 years in PAUD Laskar Pelangi Kubu Raya district where most of the children who become the subject of this research can not mention the forms of geometry, showing the forms of geometry and distinguish the forms of geometry Form of research this is a classroom action research using the puzzle game method. The subjects of this study were children who numbered 12 children. The location used as this research is PAUD Laskar Pelangi Kubu Raya District. Based on the results of research that has been done and after held data analysis, can generally be concluded that through the game puzzle can improve the ability of children in recognizing geometric shapes.  Keyword : Introduction of geometry shapes, puzzle games, childhood 3-4 years

Abstract

AbstractThe research on the pronouns' deiksis, place, and time on the novel Genduk Karya Sundari Mardjuki focuses on the description of the use of pronouns dexterity, place and time. This is in accordance with the formulation of the problem, namely: (1) How is the use of pronouns deiksis at Sundel Mardjuki's Sundel Genduk? (2) How is the use of place deixis at Sundari Mardjuki's Sundel Genduk? (3) How is the use of time deixis in Sundel Mardjuki's Sundel Genduk? This study aims to Describe the use of pronouns deiksis, place, and time on Sundel Mardjuki's Sundel Genduk and conclude it. This research uses descriptive and qualitative method. Sources of data and research data are novel Genduk Sundari Mardjuki and quotations or sentences that show the use of pronouns deiksis, place, and time. Data collection techniques used are documentation and data collection tool is a researcher as a key instrument by recording data that are quotations or sentences containing pronouns deixis, place, and time. This study uses the technique to test the validity of the data that is observational persistence and referential adequacy. Keywords: Deiksis, Pronoun, place, time, novel

Abstract

AbstractThe objective of this research was to improve students? speaking ability in describing place using Think-Pair-Share (TPS) technique for the tenth grade students in class IPA 3 of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Pontianak. This research was a classroom action research. The result showed that the use of Think-Pair-Share technique made the students become more active in speaking activity, particularly in describing place by using English and gave positive response or feedback during teaching and learning process. Think it out in Think activity helped students to use and practice their vocabulary in terms of adjectives which relevant with the topic given. Partners? correction in Pair activity in which students were allowed to give correction of their partner?s mistakes in pronouncing English words helped them to practice their pronunciation as well to pronounce the words with better pronunciation. Turn-taking description in Share activity helped students to practice oral description by using better pronunciation, relevant adjectives and simple present tense correctly. These findings were also supported by the result of students? speaking scores in which the mean score improved from 59,1 in Cycle 1 to 72,6 in Cycle 2 then it was 79,6 in Cycle 3. In conclusion, Think-Pair-Share technique improved students? speaking ability in describing place, particularly in the aspects of pronunciation, the use of adjectives, and the use of simple present tense.Keywords: Speaking Ability, Think-Pair-Share technique, Classroom Action Research.

Abstract

 AbstractThe purpose of this study is to describe the improvement of student learning outcomes on the learning of Citizenship Education by using cooperative learning model of Team Games Tournamnet (TGT) in the fourth grade of elementary school 09 Sujah Bengkayang Regency. The research method used in this research is descriptive, the form of research that is classroom action research, the nature of research is collaborative. Subjects in this study are students of class IV which amounted to 32 students. The research procedure includes four stages: Planning, Implementation, Observation and Reflection. This study was conducted three cycles, the results obtained are the ability of teachers in planning the learning cycle I is 3.70, cycle II 3.80, cycle III 3.90. The ability of teachers in implementing learning in the first cycle is 3.50, cycle II 3.73, cycle III 3.91 There is an increase in learning outcomes in the first cycle average of 82.00 to 86.19 and 92.24 in the second cycle and third. There is an increase in the learning outcomes of Citizenship Education on the application of cooperative model of Team Games Tournamnet type in grade IV elementary school 09 Sujah, Bengkayang. Keywords: Team Games Tournament, Learning Outcomes, Citizenship Education.
