Abstract

Abstract The problem in this research is "How is the effect of using the serial image to the writing skill description in class III State Elementary School 35 South Pontianak?". This study aims to analyze the effect of the use of serial images on the skill of writing descriptions in class III State Elementary School 35 Pontianak Selatan. This research uses experimental method, with Quasi Experimental Design form. Population and sample in this research is all student of class III State Elementary School 35 Pontianak Selatan which amounts to 65 people. Techniques used in data collection is a measurement technique with the tool used is essay-shaped written test and documentary / bibliographic study technique that is collecting photographs of research conducted. Based on the data analysis, the average of the result of the final test (post-test) of the experimental class is 80,91 and the mean of the final test result (post-test) of control class student is 75,72. After t test is obtained t count of 2.0513 while ttable (= 5% of 1.6749, it turns thitung ≥ ttable or 2.0513 ≥ 1.6749 which means there is a significant effect on the use of serial image media From the calculation of effect size obtained by 0.388 with criteria classified moderate.This means the use of media drawing series to give a moderate effect on the skill of writing a description in the class III State Elementary School 35 Pontianak Selatan. Keywords: Influence, Media Image Series, Essay Description.

Abstract

AbstractThis research was aimed to known effectiveness the application of conceptual change model to reduce students? misconceptions on heat and temperature in SMA Negeri 2 Teluk Keramat. Pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest design used in this research. Sample of this research was students from XI IPAclass (n = 37) who choosen by saturated  sampling technique. Diagnostic test which consisted of 18 multiple choice question with open reasoning.Based on the results of data analysis found the findings, as follows: (1) the percentage of students? misconceptions before and after being given remedial learning each 63,36% and 18,01%; (2) the average decrease of misconceptions equal to 45,35%; (3) There was a significant conceptual change (  50,7;  1;  0,05) after being given remedial learning; and (4) The level effectiveness of remediation is high (DQM= 71,57%).Based on these results, it is expected that conceptual change model can be used as an alternative remediation activities to reduce misconception. Keywords:       Misconception, Remediation, Conceptual Change Model, Heat and Temperature

Abstract

Abstract                                                          This research aimed to investigate how high the correlation of Extrovert-Introvert personality towards speaking performance of the 2018 academic year students of Speaking for Academic Presentation class of  English Education Study Program in Teacher Training and Education University of Tanjungpura. The sample of this research was 20 students of Speaking for Academic class which consists of 20 females and 5 males in the class. The measurement of personality and speaking performance were determined by using Mark Parkinson Personality Questionnaire (MSQ) and Monroe’s motivated persuasive rubric score. The students’ personality and speaking score were correlated by using Pearson Product Moment and Multiple Correlation formula. The result of this research show the correlation between extrovert-introvert personality in speaking performance is 0.5206 that indicate moderate correlation between these variables. The result for the sub-correlation between extrovert and speaking performance is 0.4183, introvert and speaking performance is 0.4096 which both also shows moderate correlation. From this research, the researcher had conclusion that extrovert-introvert personality has the effect to the speaking performance.Keywords: Extrovert Personality, Introvert Personality, Speaking Performance

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa ditinjau dari aspek interpretation dalam penyelesaian masalah materi program linier di kelas XI SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif  dengan bentuk penelitian survei. Adapun yang menjadi subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI MIA 4 SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa ditinjau dari aspek interpretation secara keseluruhan berdasarkan skor hasil tes dan wawancara pada tiga indikator aspek interpretation yaitu mengkategorikan, menguraikan arti, dan mengklarifikasi maksud tergolong dalam kategori sedang. Sedangkan jika dilihat dari skor hasil tes dan wawancara untuk masing-masing indikator, kemampuan siswa pada indikator mengkategorikan tergolong sedang, pada indikator menguraikan arti tergolong sangat tinggi, akan tetapi pada indikator mengklarifikasi maksud tergolong rendah.   Kata kunci : Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis, Aspek interpretation Abstract: This reasearch aims to know students critical thinking skill based on interpretation aspect in problem solution of linear programm material in grade 11th at SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak. The research used descriptive method with survey research design. The sample of this research were students in grade XI MIA 4 at SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak. The data analyze result show that as whole, student critical thinking skill based on interpretation aspect from the score of  test result and interview in three indicators of interpretation aspect that are categorizing, decoding significance, and clarifying meaning  categorized in medium category. But, if we saw that from score of test result and interview in each indicator, students skill in categorizing classified in medium category, in decoding significance indicator classified in very high category, and in clarifying meaning indicator classified in low category. Abstract

AbstractThe purposes of this research are to investigate:1) The differences in student learning outcomes between taught Videoscribe media and learning without Videoscribe  media in class X SMA Mujahidin Pontianak. on chemical bonding material 2) The influence of learning with  Videoscribe media the learning outcomes in class X SMA Mujahidin Pontianak on chemical bonding material. The form of the research was quasy experiment with nonequivalent control group design. Sample selection technique was random sampling. Instrument of the research was of test.  To find out the differences in student learning outcomes used the U-Mann Whitney test, based on the results of the hypothesis test obtained the value of Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.033, the test  result showed that there was a difference between student learning outcomes taught Videoscribe media and student learning outcomes taught without Videoscribe. Learning using Videoscribe learning media in class X SMA Mujahidin Pontianak on chemical bonding material giving the influence of 19.85% toward  student learning outcomes.Keywords: Videoscribe learning media, learning outcomes, chemical bonds.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan model quantum teaching pada pembelajaran tematik di kelas III Sekolah Dasar. Metode penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian pengembangan (research and development) dengan teknik analisis data deskriptif persentase untuk mengungkap aspek psikomotorik, kognitif dan afektif peserta didik. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dari validasi ahli, uji coba skala kecil dan uji coba skala besar. Hasil uji coba diperoleh data validasi ahli yaitu, ahli Quantum Teaching didapat 92% dan ahli pembelajaran didapat 90,7%. Hasil uji coba skala besar diperoleh data pretest yaitu, kelas III A didapat 63,52%, kelas III B didapat 68,84%, dan data posttest yaitu kelas III A didapat 78,76, kelas III B didapat 83,92%. Produk yang dihasilkan adalah video pembelajaran model quantum teaching pada pembelajaran tematik dikelas III Sekolah Dasar, lengkap dengan buku panduan penggunaannya. Kesimpulan penelitian didasarkan pada perencanaan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi dan perilaku belajar peserta didik, divalidasi oleh ahli dan validasi empirik dalam pembelajaran nyata di kelas yang humanis, menyenangkan dan bermakna. Kata kunci: pengembangan, model quantum teaching, pembelajaran tematik Abstract: This study aims to produce a model of quantum teaching in thematic learning in third grade primary school. This research method is a kind of research and development with a percentage of descriptive data analysis techniques to uncover aspects of the psychomotor, cognitive and affective learners. Collecting data using questionnaires of expert validation, testing small-scale and large-scale testing. The trial results are obtained validation data experts, experts acquired 92% of Quantum Teaching and learning experts gained 90.7%. Results of a large-scale trial data showed pretest ie, class III A gained 63.52%, grade III B gained 68.84%, and the data that is class III A posttest gained 78.76, grade III B gained 83.92%. The resulting product are video of quantum teaching model on thematic learning in class III Elementary School and complete with handbook of instructional use. Conclusion of the study is based on the planning, implementation, evaluation and behavior of learners, validated by experts and empirical validation in a real classroom learning humanist, fun and meaningful. Abstract

Abstrack This study aimed to determine the effect of the application of learning model picture and picture to the students' learning outcomes on the impulse and momentum materials in the class X SMK AL-Madani Pontianak, the research form used was quasi experimental design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Population in this research was student of class X SMK AL-Madani Pontianak. Sampling technique used was simple random sampling technique with class X RPL as experiment class and class X TKJ-1 as control class. Data collection was done by measurement technique. The data collection tool was an essaybased learning test consisting of 5 questions with a reliability level of 0.6. Based on the result of posttest data analysis using non parametric statistic test U Mann Whitney test with α 5% obtained -Zhit ≤ -Ztab is -4,889 <-1,96. This shows that there was a difference between the students' learning outcomes of the control class and the experimental class. The result of calculation of effect size is 0,9 (31,59%) which means study model picture and picture give high influence to result of student learning. Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis bentuk-bentuk interaksi sosial mahasiswa Papua dengan mahasiswa etnik lain dirusunawa Untan, pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik observasi, wawancara, studi dokumentasi, dengan alat pengumpulan data berupa panduan observasi, panduan wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa interaksi sosial asosiatif dalam bentuk kerja sama dan akomodasi, mahasiswa Papua dengan mahasiswa etnik lain (studi kasus di Rusunawa Untan) belum terjalin dengan baik, berdasarkan hasil observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi yang telah peneliti laksanakan membuktikan bahwa mahasiswa Papua dengan mahasiswa etnik lain dalam berinteraksi belum terjalin dengan baik ini dilihat dari mahasiswa Papua maupun mahasiswa etnik lain tidak dapat bekerja sama dalam kegiatan bersih lingkungan yang diadakan setiap hari minggu.   Kata Kunci: Interaksi Sosial, Mahasiswa, Etnik Abstract: This research aims to analyze the forms of social interaction between Papuan students and students of other ethnic groups at Rusunawa Untan. The approach used was a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, documentation study, with data collection tools in the form of observation guide, interview outline, and documentation. Research findings showed that social interaction in the form of cooperation and accommodation between Papuan students and students of other ethnic groups at Rusunawa Untan has not been well established. Based on the results of observations, interviews, and documentation that the researcher carried out proved that Papuan students’ interaction with students of other ethnic groups was not really good, and it could be seen from fact that they could not cooperate in activities to clean the environment which is held every Sunday. Abstract

Abstract The research investigated the result whether implementing Instagram as a teaching media was effective in teaching students writing descriptive text or not. This was a pre-experimental research with one group pre-test and post-test design. There were 30 students of X Tata Niaga learning group who participated in this research. The date were collected by objective test and analyzed by t-test and effect size formula. According to the research findings, the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected, while the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. The obtained t-value (3.615) was bigger than the critical value of r (1.699) by the degree of freedom 29. The effect size was categorized as strong effect since the ES value was 0.65 and bigger than 0.6. Everything considered, teaching writing descriptive text through Instagram, is significant and effective to year – 10 of “SMK Panca Bhakti” in Academic Year 2018/2019.  Keywords: Descriptive Text, Instagram, Writing.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui Kemampuan Manajerial Pengurus Dalam Mempromosikan Ekonomi Anggota Pada Koperasi Karyawan Tirta Dharma Khatulistiwa PDAM Kota Pontianak. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian evaluatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah Koperasi Karyawan Tirta Dharma Khatulistiwa PDAM Kota Pontianak di mana yang menjadi objek evaluasi adalah Kemampuan Manajerial Pengurus Dalam Mempromosikan Ekonomi Anggota. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Dalam penelitian ini data dikumpulkan melalui metode dokumentasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kemampuan Manajerial Pengurus Dalam Mempromosikan Ekonomi Anggota berada dalam kategori cukup baik, hal ini dapat dilihat dari kemampuan pengurus dalam mempromosikan ekonomi anggota, sehingga anggota merasa puas dengan kinerja pengurus dalam memberikan pelayanan serta dalam mengolah koperasi tetap berjalan sesuai harapan yang dinginkan anggota koperasi. Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Manajerial, Mempromosikan Ekonomi Abstract: The study aims to determine the ability of the Managerial Board Member In Promoting Economic at Koperasi Karyawan Tirta Dharma Khatulistiwa PDAM Pontianak. This research is a descriptive evaluative research. The subject was Koperasi Karyawan Tirta Dharma Khatulistiwa PDAM Pontianak where the object of evaluation is the ability of the Managerial Board Members In Promoting Economic. Technique of data analysis that used in this study is descriptive analysis. In this study the data is collected by using documentation and interview methods. The result showed that the ability of the Managerial Board In Promoting Economic Members are in good enough category, it can be seen from the ability of administrators in promoting the member economies, at last the members are satisfied with the performance of the board in providing services and in managing the cooperative to keep it runs based on the expectations that the cooperative members want.
