Abstract

The development of responsive, efficient, and maintainable web applications is a critical challenge in modern web development. This study presents the design and development of a tracer study information system for Bina Darma University using Vue.js and Tailwind CSS. The system focuses on three key components: responsive web design, pagination for managing large datasets, and reusable components implemented with Vue.js slots. By integrating Tailwind CSS, the system achieves a highly adaptive interface optimized for various devices, ensuring a seamless user experience. The implementation of Vue.js-based pagination significantly improves the management of alumni questionnaire histories in the admin interface, enhancing navigation and performance. Additionally, the use of Django pagination complements this by efficiently handling server-side data management, allowing for smooth transitions between pages and reducing load times for large datasets. This dual approach to pagination ensures that both client-side and server-side data handling are optimized for performance. Furthermore, the use of Vue.js slots for component reuse allows for tailored functionalities across different interfaces, reducing redundancy and improving code maintainability. The results demonstrate that adopting modern frameworks like Vue.js and Tailwind CSS, alongside robust backend solutions like Django, can streamline development, reduce effort, and enhance application efficiency. This study provides a scalable solution that can be adapted for similar academic systems, offering insights into best practices for contemporary web application development.

Abstract

This study aims to build a system to manage temperature, pH, nutrient, and water availability sensor data for plants in smart agriculture. This is done so that the data sent by the sensor can be managed and stored properly. So that the data can be used for monitoring and controlling later. This study uses a waterfall model. Waterfall is often used to build a software system. The system that has been built needs to be tested. Based on the coding results, the system has two services. The first service handles user data, tools, plants, tool sets, and planting settings. The second service will hold the data that the tool sends to RabbitMQ. The results of the first service test run well, where every request sent by the client can be processed, and a response is returned as a request. In service, in two tests, some services ran fine. Where the data is successfully sent to the client side in real-time; however, when consuming and getting real-time data, it needs to be underlined; if getting real-time data is done when the JSON file is empty, it will return null. This may cause data delays to the client. The monitoring process will be a little late.

Abstract

Clustering is a fundamental technique in data analysis, particularly in unsupervised learning, to group data with similar characteristics. However, the effectiveness of the K-Means algorithm in text clustering heavily depends on proper feature extraction. This study proposes an enhanced feature extraction approach by integrating Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) and Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) to improve clustering performance on journal article datasets. The dataset consists of 427 journal article abstracts collected from Google Scholar. The preprocessing steps include tokenization, stopword removal, and TF-IDF vectorization, followed by topic extraction using LDA, which serves as input features for the K-Means clustering algorithm. The optimal number of clusters is determined using the Silhouette Score, with the best result obtained at k=9, achieving a score of 0.6806. The practical implications of this study include improved accuracy in academic document clustering, with applications in journal recommendation systems, digital library indexing, and research trend analysis. The results demonstrate that the combination of TF-IDF and LDA produces more informative text representations, significantly enhancing clustering quality. This study contributes to text mining and data science by proposing a systematic preprocessing framework for document clustering. Future research could explore its application to full-text articles, hierarchical clustering, or deep learning-based models to further improve clustering performance.

Abstract

Evaluation of questions is generally carried out by teachers after giving exams to students. The exam is a benchmark to determine students' ability to absorb the subject matter delivered by the teacher through objective and essay questions, all students are expected to be able to answer and solve these questions properly. Exams can be referred to as part of the evaluation to maintain the quality of the questions so that they remain suitable. Therefore, the teacher evaluates the questions by using item analysis manually to get the results of the value in the form of a feasible question, this method will spend a lot of time to calculate one by one the results of student answers and then recap the results of the answers for one class, besides that the accuracy of the results is also low because there can be miscalculations from the teacher that can make the question eligibility value inappropriate. The purpose of this research is to produce a system in the form of an application that is able to analyze questions so that it can help teachers get question analysis quickly. With the concept of the model, view, controller method in the codeigniter framework, a web-based application is designed. The results of the research are in the form of data per question which contains an analysis of the question of difficulty level, differentiating power and checking function by using framework codeigniter.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has driven the development of Internet of Things (IoT)-based learning systems to enhance efficiency and interactivity in the teaching and learning process.  IoT implementations is the development of a sensor-based keyboard learning system. This system is designed to help users improve their typing skills through monitoring parameters such as typing speed, keypress patterns, and usage duration. This data becomes an important asset that requires protection due to its connection to user privacy and personal performance evaluation. In IoT-based systems, data is typically transmitted through networks that are potentially vulnerable to security threats, such as eavesdropping, modification, or theft of data or information. The development of this system is carried out in a sensor-based keyboard learning application with IoT integration, which is equipped with data security features using steganography techniques. Steganography is a technique used to hide data or information within a digital medium so that it cannot be accessed by others. The method used is the  Most Significant Bit (MSB), a simple steganography algorithm that utilizes significant bits from image files to embed secret messages. This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of the MSB method in protecting user data stored and transmitted through IoT system. The implementation is carried out on a sensor-based keyboard learning system, where the data collected from the sensors is used to track typing speed, keypress patterns, and typing duration. This data is encrypted using MSB steganography and embedded into a cover image before being transmitted through the IoT network.

Abstract

Poverty is an important issue for the local government of Cimahi City, mainly caused by the low level of education of the community and unequal access to quality educational facilities. Given the role of education in influencing the economic condition of the community, this study aims to examine the causes of poverty. Demographic factors such as income, social economic status, and educational attainment are examined in this study using data from the Education Department and Social Department of Cimahi City from 2019 to 2024. There are three poverty levels categorized based on the BIRCH method high, medium, and low. Cigugur Tengah and Leuwigajah area have a majority of residents with a high school education or less and a high poverty rate, while Baros and Padasuka Urban Village have a majority of residents with a D3-D4 education and a low poverty rate. However, the clustering results of the BIRCH method only yielded an accuracy of 43%, which shows that this model is not optimal in clustering poverty levels. According to these results, a region's chance of overcoming poverty increases with the average educational level of its population. The results of this study indicate that education plays an important role in helping people out of poverty. Therefore, the expansion of educational opportunities and an increase in public awareness of the value of education are key solutions.
