Abstract

Every woman wants her labor to run smoothly and to be able to give birth under normal conditions for both the mother and the baby. However, the desire to have a normal (vaginal) delivery is not an easy thing because many pregnant women feel worried, anxious, and anxious about the delivery process. The goal of normal delivery care is to strive for survival and achieve a high degree of health for both mother and baby through integrated and complete efforts and minimal intervention so that the principles of safety and quality of service can be maintained at an optimal level. The purpose of this study was to find out the difference in the application of semi-sitting and lithotomy positions in multiparous mothers to the length of the second stage at PMB Rismawati. This research was a quantitative study using static group comparison experimental research methods The sample in this study were 30 multiparous mothers. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The sample in this study was part of the population of multiparous mothers. The results of the man withney test obtained a p-value of 0,370, this value was greater than 0,05 so it can be concluded that there is no difference in the lateral and semi-sitting positions for the duration of the second stage of labor because each position has its own advantages when applied.

Data collection used anthropometric measurements and primary dysmenorrhea questionnaires, menstrual cycle questionnaires, and Depression Anxiety and Stress Scale (DASS). Data were analyzed using univariate analysis and bivariate data analysis using Chi-square. Results characteristics menstrual subjects were obtained 1x/month 58 (96,7%). Duration menstruation was 3-7 days 49 (81,7%). Primary dysmenorrhea at the beginning of menstruation was 53 (88,3%). 35 students (58,3%) experienced dysmenorrhea first time 6 months of menstruation. Duration menstrual pain 1-3 days 60 (100%). The primary dysmenorrhea scale of moderate pain was 29 (48,3%). 35 students (58,3%) did not experience back pain. 34 (56,7%) students experienced low back pain. Results of statistical analysis showed there was a significant relationship between nutritional status and primary dysmenorrhea p-value=0,00. The significant relationship between the menstrual cycle and primary dysmenorrhea p-value=0,03, and there was no relationship between stress levels and primary dysmenorrhea p-value=0,44. It can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between nutritional status and menstrual cycle and dysmenorrhea, but there is no significant relationship between stress levels and primary dysmenorrhea in class XI SMA Suluh Jakarta Selatan students.

Abstract

Patient safety goals consist of six safety goals, one of which is the identification process. Where the patient identification process must be carried out correctly so that errors or nursing errors do not occur. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the implementation of patient identification and nursing errors. This research uses associative research with a cross-research design. The sample in this study amounted to 120 people, at the Regional General Hospital Dr. RM. Djoelham Binjai used a total sampling technique. The data collection instrument was used a questionnaire. The results of the study showed that as many as 51 people (96,1%) did not carry out patient identification with a high incidence of nursing errors. Meanwhile, among nurses who carried out patient identification, there was 1 out of 68 people (1,4%) with a high incidence of nursing errors. Based on the results of data processing, it was concluded that the effect of carrying out patient identification was strong by r square=0,911, meaning that the patient identification implementation variable was used in the study. It has been able to explain the diversity of data on nursing error variables at the Regional General Hospital Dr. RM. Djoelham Binjai is 91,1%, while the remaining 8,9% is explained by other variables outside the research model.

Abstract

Anemia, especially iron deficiency anemia was marked with low hemoglobin (Hb) concentration than normal standard.Adolescents, especially girls when reached the age of menstruation were prone to this type of anemia because of blood loss from their monthly cycle. This research objective was to analyze the participant’s intake of iron, iron enhancers, and inhibitors intake and analyze its relationship to anemia incidence of MTs. Fadlurrahman, Bekasi 2022. This cross-sectional research used stratified random sampling based on their level of class. The participant’s number were 49 adolescent girls who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. 36,70% of all subjects had anemia. Most subjects (75,51%) had low iron consumption, rare iron enhancers consumption (75,51%), and frequent inhibitors consumption (51,02%). All the independent variables (iron intake, iron enhancers consumption, and iron inhibitor consumption) had a significant relationship (p<0,05) to the dependent variable (anemia incidence). This finding implicated adolescent girls in MTs. Fadlurrahman needs to consume more iron-rich foods and their enhancers while lower its inhibitor intake.

Abstract

Diarrheal disease is a significant risk factor for morbidity and mortality worldwide in children under five years of age. The study aimed to analyze the risk factors for diarrhea in infants with and without exclusive breastfeeding. The research approach used a case-control analysis with observational analytic methods. The population was all mothers who gave birth to babies aged 6-12 months. By determining the sample using the Lemeshow formula, the example was 152 babies with details of 76 cases and 76 controls. The results of the chi-square test showed (p-value= 0,000), which means that there was an effect of exclusive breastfeeding and non-exclusive breastfeeding with the incidence of diarrhea in infants with a value of OR=12,065, which means that mothers who did not breastfeed their babies 12,065 times more at risk of suffering from diarrhea higher inversely compared to mothers who exclusively breastfeed their babies. In conclusion, infants who are not exclusively breastfed are at risk of suffering from diarrhea than infants who are exclusively breastfed.

Abstract

One effort to improve nutritional status is consuming nutritious food and nutrition education for children to instill healthy eating habits from an early age. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of providing snacks on the nutritional status and nutritional intake of adolescents. This type of research was a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pre-posttest design without a control group. The research subjects were adolescents aged 11-14 years. Snacks are given for 1 month that meets ± 20% energy and ± 8% protein and ± 15% fat. T-test to analyze the nutritional status of adolescents and nutrient intake before and after giving the distraction food. The results of this study showed that providing distracting food could increase body mass index (p-value=0,000), student weight (p-value=0,000), intake of protein (p-value=0,000), vitamin C (p-value=0,0008), and zinc (p-value=0,0004), but height, carbohydrate intake, and iron intake had no significant effect (p-value>0,05). This study concluded that the provision of snack food effectively increased students' nutritional knowledge, student weight, and intake of protein, vitamin C, and zinc, but height and body mass index, as well as carbohydrates and iron, did not increase significantly. The suggestion from this study is that distraction for adolescents is highly recommended to improve nutritional status so schools should be able to make a policy in providing distracting food as a program to improve adolescent nutrition at school.
