Abstract

Tooth extraction is an action that is often performed in the world of dentistry to remove intact teeth or remaining roots from the sockets in the alveolar bone. Macrophage cells are important processes in wound healing during the inflammatory phase. Binahong leaves (Anredera cordifolia) contain flavonoids, ascorbic acid, tannins, terpenoids, saponins, alkaloids which influence macrophage activity. The aim of the research was to determine the effect of 5% binahong (Anredera cordifolia) leaf extract gel on the increase in macrophages after tooth extraction in Wistar strain white rats. This type of research was pure experimental research with a post test only group design. The research subjects were 36 mice divided into negative control, positive control and treatment groups. The left mandibular incisor was removed and CMC-NA 1%, glycerin iodine 1%, and 5% binahong (Anredera cordifolia) leaf extract gel were applied. The lower incisors of mice were extracted and then made histological preparations stained with hematoxylin then divided into 3 groups, then the number of macrophages was counted using a microscope with 400x magnification. The One Way Anova parametric test showed that there was a significant difference (p<0,05) between groups in the number of macrophages. The results of the LSD test showed that there was a significant difference (p<0,05) between the treatment group and the positive and negative controls. Based on this research, 5% binahong leaf extract gel has an effect on the number of macrophages cells in the wound healing process after tooth extraction.

Abstract

Poor nutrition during pregnancy and childhood is a bad consequence. Stunting children will never reach their peak height or have the best brain development. These children start their lives poorly; they have trouble learning in school, earn less than adults, and face obstacles to being a part of society. This research is to see the relationship between the availability of clean water and access to health services on the health status of mothers and children. This research is quantitative research using analytical observation methods with a "Cross Sectional" approach. Sampling was taken using Cluster Random Sampling with the Chi-Square statistical correlative test with a significance level of 0,05 using SPSS 24. There is a relationship between the availability of clean water and the health status of mothers and children (p-value=0,000), while access to health services does not have a significant relationship with the health status of mothers and children (p-value=0,904). The availability of clean water shows good health status for mothers and children, while access to health services does not have a significant relationship.

Abstract

In emergencies, ensuring proper nutrition for toddlers is crucial, including the availability of specialized food products such as mackerel-based nuggets. This study aim to evaluate the impact of mackerel substitution on organoleptic characteristics, proximate composition, fatty acid profile, and Vitamin D content in nuggets as emergency food. The research employed an experimental approach using a completely randomized design (CRD) with three treatment groups and one control: F0 (0%), F1 (40%), F2 (50%), and F3 (60%). Organoleptic data were analyzed using the Kruskal-Wallis, and the Mann-Whitney test to determine statistical significance. Meanwhile, proximate composition (protein, fat, carbohydrates, moisture content, and ash content), fatty acid profile, and vitamin D levels were examined using an independent t-test. Findings from the hedonic test revealed that F3 (60%) was the most preferred formula. This formula exhibited a slightly brownish color, a strong aroma, a somewhat soft texture, and an intense flavor. Proximate analysis showed that F3 contained 16,18 g of carbohydrates, 2,88 g of fat, 21,65 g of protein, 2,24 g of ash, and 57,05 g of moisture. Additionally, its fatty acid composition included 0,0864% DHA, 0,0079% EPA, 0,1005% omega-3 fatty acids, 0,3083% omega-6 fatty acids, 1,255% omega-9 fatty acids, and 0,0096% linolenic acid. The vitamin D content in this formula was recorded at 1,13 mcg. The study results indicated significant differences between the control and the selected formula in terms of proximate composition, fatty acid profile, and Vitamin D levels. Therefore, incorporating mackerel into nugget production can enhance the product's organoleptic characteristics

Abstract

Hernia Nucleus Pulposus (HNP) is the most common cause of back pain in the elderly. The most sensitive imaging to see HNP is using MRI. MRI examinations that are a little long can cause patient discomfort, especially with clinical HNP, because patients will complain of pain located in the lower back and result in suboptimal MRI images, therefore requiring a relatively faster scan time, thus requiring the GRAPPA Parallel Imaging technique which can produce good image quality with a short scanning time. The purpose of this study was to compare the GRAPPA factor acceleration value and to determine the correlation between image quality and the use of different GRAPPA factor accelerations. This study used 10 samples of patients with clinical Hernia nucleus pulposus MRI T2 Sagittal FSE examination at Indriati Solo Baru Hospital using the GRAPPA Acceleration Factor value. The results of the GRAPPA technique images on each sample were assessed for image quality quantitatively based on the SNR value and scan time. Based on the SNR value results, Acceleration Factor 1 has a higher average value compared to Acceleration Factor 2 and 3, while Scantime Acceleration Factor 2 has a shorter scanning time compared to Acceleration Factor 1 and 3. The GRAPPA technique can be applied to produce good image quality with fast scanning time.

Abstract

Hydrogel can be developed as a secretome delivery strategy for controlled release, thereby extending the residence time of the secretome and providing safer and more effective therapeutic effects. Secretome has great potential to prevent skin aging. The enzymes contained in the secretome have antioxidant activity. This study aimed to determine the characterization and anti-aging activity of sodium alginate-based secretome hydrogel preparations. In this research, hydrogel secretome characterization tests were carried out in the form of organoleptics, pH, viscosity, spreadability, HRTEM and also anti-aging activity testing using the DPPH scavenging assay method. The organoleptic test showed that all formulas were pale yellow in color, soft and homogeneous in consistency. pH, viscosity and spreadability tests showed that all formulas entered the standard range for topical preparations. Taking images of the hydrogel surface using HRTEM shows that the secretome has been successfully dispersed into the hydrogel. Anti-aging activity testing carried out has also proven an increase in the percentage of inhibition and IC50 value in the formula along with increasing the secretome dose.

Abstract

Job satisfaction reflects how much employees like or dislike various aspects of their work. At RSUD Dr. H. Bob Bazar SKM, many nurses expressed dissatisfaction: 52,4% with income, 38,1% with working conditions, 52,4% with promotion opportunities, 57,1% with the work itself, 52,4% with recognition, 57,1% with work experience, and 71,4% with both self-development and overall job satisfaction. This dissatisfaction impacts nurses’ performance. This study aimed to determine a job satisfaction model among nurses at RSUD Dr. H. Bob Bazar SKM, South Lampung. It used a cross-sectional analytic design with a qualitative approach, involving all 149 nurses as subjekts through total sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using Smart PLS (Partial Least Squares). The modified model showed all latent variable constructs had good discriminant validity, and the AVE test indicated no issues with convergent validity. Bootstrapping analysis revealed that among eight exogenous variables, only self-development and promotion opportunities significantly affected job satisfaction (p-value<0,05; t>1,96). The R² value of 0,701 suggests that these two variables can explain 70,1% of job satisfaction. Self-development was measured with five indicators (highest t=13,836), promotion opportunities with five indicators (highest t=15,576), and job satisfaction with six indicators (highest t=15,285). The study recommends the hospital prioritize improving self-development and promotion opportunities to enhance job satisfaction, contributing to better planning and organizational growth.
