Abstract

This research presents an effort to innovate electric canting by utilizing the micro heater element in solder (MHE), where MHE is active when it receives electricity. MHE acts as an element that converts electrical energy into heat, and with a relatively stable temperature, MHE can heat the malam liquid storage tube. The hot malam tube will be filled with solid malam until the malam melts and can be applied to cloth. In addition, an on off button is also installed which functions to transmit and cut off electricity to the MHE or in other words adjusts to user needs. The implementation of the use of electric canting started at Batik Randu7Start and then it can also be implemented at other hand-written batik SMEs in Probolinggo. The benefits of this electric canting aside from overcoming the problems that exist in UMKM Batik Randu7, what is no less important is being able to reduce production costs when compared to using manual canting. With this, it is also hoped that MSMEs can continue to grow batik and create competitive advantages in the market.

Abstract

MSMEs play a role in overcoming the problem of poverty and become a buffer when Indonesia experiences a crisis. Given their essential role in the national economy, MSMEs need assistance with access to capital. However, the problem is that MSMEs are not yet disciplined in recording financial transactions and compiling financial statements, making it difficult for banks to measure their financial performance accurately. This is due to a lack of understanding in making financial statements. As a result, it is difficult to know exactly how much profit or loss they experienced. Therefore, this community service activity aims to increase the understanding of MSME actors regarding the importance of financial recording and reporting and is expected to be able to prepare financial statements using SIAPIK. The method used in activities is socialization, which is done by conveying basic accounting material along with MSME financial accounting standards and providing training regarding the use of SIAPIK. The participants are MSMEs in the Kubu Raya Regency area of West Kalimantan. The activity results showed increased participants' understanding and ability to prepare financial statements using SIAPIK. By preparing good financial statements, they can measure their financial performance accurately.

Abstract

Inorganic waste is a significant environmental problem due to population growth and rapid industrial development. The ever-increasing volume of inorganic waste demands effective solutions for its management. One way to reduce the negative impact of inorganic waste is to recycle it into useful items. In Lumajang Regency, there is an urgent need for learning facilities for early childhood children which are still inadequate. For this reason, innovation in the form of educational teaching aids (APE) from recycled inorganic waste materials has been developed. This APE not only helps overcome environmental problems but also provides practical solutions to improve the quality of children's education. This program aims to increase children's creativity, support educational facilities and infrastructure, and create interactive and fun learning. The methods used in implementing the program involve socialization, trials of making APE, training for teachers, mentoring, and monitoring activities. The results show that partners (teachers) are able to operate and apply educational game tools in learning, thus having a positive impact on children's cognitive and motor development.
