Abstract

Abstrak P This study aims to determine the understanding of teacher problems, the kinds of problems experienced by teachers in schools and how to minimize these problems. The research method that the author uses is a qualitative approach with the type of library research (library research) with research data sources coming from various literatures, such as journals, books, personal documents, newspapers and so on. The results of the study can be concluded as follows: 1) Teacher problems are problems or problems experienced by teachers both when carrying out their duties in educating, teaching, and guiding students while at school. 2) Teacher problems are generally divided into two groups, namely internal problems that come from within the teacher and external problems that come from outside the teacher's personality. 3) The author provides several ways to minimize teacher problems that can be applied in schools, namely: Emphasizing Teacher Professionalism, Teacher Motivation and Implementing Continuing Professional Programs (PKB).

Abstract

The aim of this study was to depelove students’ listening comprehension by applying Bottom-Up technique. This study is a classroom action research which has done in three cycles. The subject of the study was the eight grade of the students of MTs. Darul Aminin NW Aikmual Lombok Tengah. The study was conducted by applying Bottom-Up technique which consists of three main stages. There are word processing, phrase processing, and comprehension. The writer observed students’ depelovement in listening comprehension by collecting data through field notes, observation checklist and listening test. Field note and observation checklist were used to gather the students’ attitude in learning process. The data of listening was collected through listening test and it was assessed through scoring rubric. The result showed that students’ problems in understanding the contents of listening and vocabulary had been solved by applying Bottom-Up technique. In the third cycle, the students mean score was 83.7. It increased in the second cycle to 82.1, and 76.7 in first cycle. As the conclusion, the technique was able to be applied in depeloving students’ listening comprehension. As a technique in teaching and learning process, the writer recommends the teacher to apply Bottom-Up technique.

Abstract

Discipline in children was to provide an understanding of what is good for them and what is bad. Discipline education needs to be instilled in children that making mistakes certainly has a number of consequences, because the reason for that is the function of punishment in children's education. Discipline is a value behavior that can be done by force and can be done voluntarily. For early childhood, this form of discipline must be implemented voluntarily and through play. Teachers, society and parents are the most influential factors for disciplining children.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the types and forms of affixation in the Tidore language used by speakers in the village of Maitara. This research was a qualitative descriptive research. The sample or informants in this study were the speakers of the Tidore language in the village of Maitara, the city of Tidore Islands, which had been selected using a purposive sampling technique. The data collection method is in the form of listening and speaking. The data in this study were analyzed using the expansion technique and the mark reading technique. The types of affixation in Tidore include prefixes and suffixes. The prefix form in Tidore language in Maitara village is in the form of ma-, la-, se-, sa-, and to-, while the suffix form in Tidore language used by speakers in Maitara village, Tidore Islands city only has one form, namely -i .

Abstract

The main objective of teaching English is to explores and describes the strategies used by the teacher, problem faced by the teacher, and problem solved by the teacher in teaching vocabulary. A descriptive qualitative conducted to analyze the data of the study. The data were taken from interview, observation and document with participant are the English teacher of SMP IT IMISc Labuapi. Furthermore, this study focuses on the process of teaching vocabulary to the first-grade students in SMP IT IMISc Labuapi. Based on the class observation, interview, and document, this study shows that there are some strategies conducted by the teachers, i.e.: (1) memorization, (2) synonym/antonym, (3) translating, and (4) fill in the blank. The problems faced by the teacher are: (1) classroom management, (2) student’s motivation and (3) student’s laziness. The problems solved by the teacher are: (1) she called the students who make noisy and asked them some questions about the material or she ordered the student who was noisy to go out, (2) the teacher gave advice and motivation about the importance of English subject and the importance to improve the vocabulary. Besides, the teacher also implemented another strategy by giving score to the active students. The students also can consult the difficult materials with the teacher out of class, (3) the teacher gave new vocabulary that wrote in the whiteboard every meeting to improve their vocabulary. The strategies used by the teacher are good because the strategies can make the students more active. Besides that, the strategies used by the teacher can make the students interested in following the class.

Abstract

This classroom action research aims to improve students learning outcomes on the concept of light. The subjects of this study were students of class VIIIB of SMP Negeri 3 Praya for the academic year 2021/2022, totaling 33 people. This research was conducted in 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of stages of planning, implementing actions, observing, evaluating and analyzing and reflecting. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the application of animation-assisted science-edutainment learning can improve student learning outcomes on the concept of the digestive system.

Abstract

The development of a child's creativity should start from a creative teacher, because basically early childhood is a very decisive period for a child's adult life. Therefore we need teachers who are able to develop children's creativity. In this research, the goal was to make educators aware of the importance of developing a child's creativity and be able to develop their creativity. This research used a type of literature study research.

Abstract

Background of this research problem is the low activity of student learning in Thematic learning in class IV SDN Sade Barabali Lombok Tengah that caused by the low quality of learning that used by teacher, where the lack of methods, models and strategies that used by the teacher during the process of thematic learning led to boredom on students and become passive during the learning process. This research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK) with qualitative descriptive method that using a qualitative approach reinforced by quantitative approach, by talking the background in SDN Sade Barabali Lombok Tengah, The subject of this research is the fourth grade students in SDN Sade Barabali Lombok Tengah, while the object of this research is the Application of The Teams Games Tournament Learning Models to Increase The Learning Activity in Cita-Citaku theme. This research was conducted in two cycles and through 4 stages including: (1) Planning, (2) Implementation, (3) Observation and (4) Reflection. The data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is done by using qualitative analysis that consist of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, conclusion of verification. The result of this research indicates that the application of models Teams Games Tournament can increase students learning activity in learning process. Activity can be measured from the evaluation cycle I, and cycle II of 63% and 77,5% cycle II. While the improvement of student activity can be measured from each cycle, student activity in cycle I is 3,1 with the active approaching category and student activity in cycle 4,1 with the approaching very active category. Thus the result of this research in Dasar Negeri School Sade Barabali Lombok Tengah has been achieved with good.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze parenting patterns on students' motivation in participating online learning during the pandemic. The subjects in this research were class X and XI IPA MA NW Kabar, totaling 15 students, taking the subject randomly. The research technique used in this research was interviews and questionnaires, then the results of interviews and questionnaires are analyzed descriptively. The results of the analysis of interview data are that there are four parenting patterns applied by parents, namely authoritarian parenting as much as 6.7%, democratic parenting as much as 26.7%, permissive parenting as much as 46.7% and neglect parenting as much as 20%. The percentage of students' motivation in participating in online learning is influenced by the parenting pattern applied as much as 65% is in the sufficient category.

Abstract

This research was an error analysis of the first semester students of Sumbawa University of Technology. The aims of the research were to find out what types of error that the students committed and what error that they committed the most. The research was a descriptive study, where the population of the research was all first semester students, while the sample was Electrical Engineering Class which consists of 34 students. The technique data collection was by giving the students translation tests. The data was analyzed by identifying, classifying, and describing the errors. Based on the result of analysis, it was found that (1) there were four types of error that students committed, they were omission, addition, misordering and misformation error: (2) type of error that students committed the most was omission, and the least error was miordering.
