Abstract

Pada saat pembelajaran sejarah berlangsung masih banyak peserta didik sering menunjukkan ketidakaktifan selama pelajaran dan sering kali kurang percaya diri untuk mengartikulasikan ide-ide mereka. Peserta didik juga kurang fokus dan tidak memperhatikan saat guru sedang menjelaskan materi. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu (1) mengetahui implementasi model collaborative learning pada pembelajaran sejarah kurikulum merdeka kelas XI di MAN 2 Banyumas. (2) mengetahui hasil belajar peserta didik menggunakan model collaborative learning pada mata pelajaran sejarah. (3) mengetahui apa saja kendala dan upaya mengatasinya dalam pelaksanaan model collaborative learning pada pembelajaran sejarah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumen. Hasil penelitian diperoleh Implementasi Model Collaborative Learning Pada Pembelajaran Sejarah Kurikulum Merdeka Kelas XI di MAN 2 Banyumas Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025, diantaranya (1) Implementasi collaborative learning yang diterapkan yaitu dengan cara memakai berbagai metode pembelajaran yang terdapat kegiatan berkelompok di dalamnya baik itu kelompok besar atau kelompok kecil. (2) Hasil belajar peserta didik baik nilai kognitif, afektif dan psikomotorik melalui model collaborative learning menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam keterlibatan peserta didik dan kinerja akademik dalam pembelajaran sejarah. (3) Kendala pertama adalah adanya peserta didik yang terlalu mendominasi dalam diskusi kelompok. Kendala ini diatasi dengan cara guru memberi tahu peserta didik jika penilaian tetap dinilai secara individual tergantung partisipasi aktif peserta didik dan guru juga dapat memakai metode pembelajaran yang mengharuskan peserta didik tetap harus berpikir kritis secara individual.

Abstract

Literary translation is a challenging process that requires linguistic skills, cultural sensitivity, and creative interpretation. The distinctive characteristics of literary writings, including figurative language, cultural references, and the emotional profundity of a literary work, maybe diminished throughout the translation process into another language. This study seeks to identify and examine translators' challenges in maintaining meaning across languages in literary texts. The study employed a descriptive quantitative methodology, with 30 professional literary translators as participants. Data were gathered via surveys targeting particular translation challenges associated with idiomatic language, cultural context, and stylistic fidelity. A structured questionnaire comprising closed and scaled items was utilized as the instrument. The results indicate that the predominant challenges faced pertain to sustaining cultural relevance and achieving stylistic similarity. This study finds that good literary translation necessitates a meticulous equilibrium between literal fidelity and creative adaptation to maintain the original work's meaning and emotional resonance.

Abstract

There has been a rise in the number of mental health problems that college students are suffering as a direct result of the increased levels of stress that are present in the university environment. Students can effectively communicate their emotions through writing activities such as maintaining a diary, writing poetry, or engaging in introspective writing. On the other hand, educational institutions in Indonesia continue to overlook research questions about how students can improve their mental health through the use of personal writing. The purpose of this study is to investigate how children utilize writing as a means of effectively expressing their feelings and preserving their mental health. Researchers from Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang recruited thirty students from the second, sixth, and eighth semesters to participate in the study. A quantitative and descriptive method was utilized in the investigation. To collect the information, we conducted a survey consisting of a single question. After engaging in activities that involved personal writing, the majority of participants in the survey reported feeling more emotionally balanced and experiencing lower levels of stress. The study's findings revealed this. The act of writing helped them become more self-aware, which in turn enhanced their emotional intelligence and problem-solving abilities. The results of the study suggest that students may be able to improve their mental health via the use of personal writing rather than through the use of pharmaceutical therapies. Instruction in reflective writing should be provided to students at educational institutions to promote the mental health of children.

Abstract

Pembentukan karakter siswa merupakan aspek penting dalam pengembangan kualitas sumber daya manusia yang berintegritas dan berakhlak mulia. Kegiatan ekstrakurikuler di sekolah memiliki peran strategis sebagai wadah pembentukan karakter melalui pengalaman belajar di luar kurikulum formal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran ekstrakurikuler dalam pembentukan karakter siswa, mekanisme yang diterapkan, tantangan dan hambatan yang dihadapi, serta evaluasi dan pengukuran efektivitas kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dalam membentuk karakter. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah library research dengan mengumpulkan dan menganalisis berbagai literatur, jurnal, dan sumber akademik terkait ekstrakurikuler dan pembentukan karakter. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan ekstrakurikuler efektif dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai karakter seperti disiplin, tanggung jawab, kerja sama, dan kepemimpinan, asalkan didukung oleh mekanisme pelaksanaan yang sistematis dan evaluasi yang terukur. Namun, terdapat berbagai tantangan seperti keterbatasan waktu, sumber daya, dan motivasi siswa yang perlu diatasi untuk memaksimalkan dampak positif ekstrakurikuler. Kesimpulannya, ekstrakurikuler merupakan media penting dalam pembentukan karakter siswa yang perlu ditingkatkan kualitas pelaksanaan dan evaluasinya agar dapat memberikan kontribusi optimal bagi perkembangan karakter peserta didik.

Abstract

The importance of adaptation in the digital age is driving educational institutions to integrate technology for the relevance of the learning process. This directly affects curriculum management, where technology improves efficiency and quality. However, its implementation in Indonesia is still constrained by access gaps and low digital literacy of teachers and students. A holistic strategy that includes continuous training and multi-stakeholder collaboration is needed to optimize the potential of technology integration, improve education quality and prepare learners for global challenges.

Abstract

Intercultural communication involves participants from different cultural backgrounds that influence the way they communicate. This study aims to analyze language and cross-cultural communication in the film “Ajari Aku Islam” by Haris Suhud and Yunita R Saragi, using critical theory based on the thoughts of Robert N. Entman. The analysis was conducted on different ethnic, religious and cultural backgrounds. This research applies a descriptive qualitative method with data collection using documentation techniques, as well as listening and note-taking techniques. This movie displays conflicts in a family with different religious and cultural backgrounds, which result in barriers in intercultural communication. The results showed that intercultural communication can run well if there is tolerance, an open mindset towards cultural differences, and the ability to adjust to the values, norms, and religions adopted by individuals or community groups.

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan guru mata pelajaran matematika di SLB Negeri Mandiraja menunjukan bahwa siswa belum dapat memahami konsep matematika secara baik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh pendekatan matematika realistik terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa SLB-B Negeri Mandiraja. Jenis penelitian berupa penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian one group pre-test post-test yang menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel berupa sampling jenuh. Berdasarkan perbandingan nilai pre-test dan post-test dengan rentang nilai yaitu 0 sampai 27 memiliki nilai tertinggi pre-test adalah 10 dan nilai terendah adalah 7 mengahasilkan rata-rata nilai 8,5, sedangkan nilai tertinggi post-test adalah 25 dan nilai terendah adalah 22 menghasilkan rata-rata nilai 21,5. Perhitungan uji N-Gain mengasilkan rata-rata 0,798 merupakan termasuk dalam kriteria tinggi. Hal ini menunjukan adanya pengaruh pendekatan matematika realistik terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas VII SLB-B Negeri Mandiraja pada materi perkalian.

Abstract

Mass media plays a strategic role in shaping the direction of educational development and democracy in the digital era. Not only as a conveyor of information, mass media also functions as an educational and political agent that influences the mindset, attitudes, and participation of the community, especially the younger generation. Through various platforms such as television, radio, newspapers, online media, and social media, mass media help shape academic culture, expand access to educational information, and increase political awareness among students. This research aims to examine the role, benefits and challenges of mass media in the context of education. The study is conducted through a literature review of various scientific sources that discuss media involvement in learning, character education, political information dissemination, and public opinion formation. The results show that mass media plays an important role in increasing digital literacy, interest in learning, creativity, and creativity.

Abstract

Character education is an essential component in shaping students who are not only intellectually intelligent, but also morally and socially resilient. In the midst of increasingly complex social dynamics-including globalization, information technology development, and shifting cultural values-character education in Indonesia faces significant challenges. This article examines the strategic role of character education in shaping the nation's generation with integrity and adaptive to social change. Using the literature study method by referring to the latest scientific literature, this study found that the success of Character Education character education is influenced by the social conditions of students, family parenting, school culture, and digital media. It also emphasizes the importance of designing character education that is contextual and relevant to social Indonesian Learners realities in various regions. A collaborative approach between schools, families and communities is key in creating an educational environment that supports character strengthening. Thus, the national education system needs to continuously adapt so that character education strategies remain relevant and effective amid dynamic social changes.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the experiences and perceptions of EFL (English as a Foreign Language) students towards accent anxiety or anxiety due to non-native accent in English language learning. The research was conducted on five students of English Education Study Program in University of Kuningan using descriptive qualitative method through interviews. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis approach method. The results showed that most of the participants experienced anxiety, insecurity, and fear of negative judgment because their accents were considered not up to native speaker standards. This anxiety was also triggered by the difficulty of understanding other accents, the desire to imitate certain accents (such as American and British), as well as the perception that accents could affect others' judgment of their English proficiency. Although most of the participants prioritized clarity of communication, they still hoped to sound like native speakers. Support from the surrounding environment, especially lecturers and friends, proved to play an important role in reducing anxiety. This study confirms the importance of the World Englishes approach in English language teaching, which emphasizes clarity and acceptance of accent diversity.
