Abstract

In the era of the 4.0 industrial revolution, teachers are not only tasked with conveying information, but also with helping students by utilizing technology. One of the problems in elementary school learning is the lack of student interest in the subject matter, especially when the learning media used is monotonous. This study aims to improve the cognitive learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN 2 Dukuhwaluh in the subject of Integrated Science and Technology (IPAS) through the application of three-dimensional learning media based on Virtual Reality (VR) with the assistance of a VR Box. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisting of three cycles. Each cycle includes four stages: planning (plan), implementation of actions (act), observation (observe), and reflection (reflect). Data collection methods include tests, observations, and documentation. Tests are used to gather data on students' cognitive learning outcomes, while observations are used to monitor students' learning activities during the learning process. Additionally, documentation is used to support visual data of learning activities. The research results indicate that the application of VR media can improve students' learning outcomes. The average student score increased from 60.6 in Cycle I to 77 in Cycle II, and reached 84.5 in Cycle III. The study concluded that the application of three-dimensional learning media based on Virtual Reality (VR) can improve the cognitive learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN 2 Dukuhwaluh.

Abstract

This study explores senior high school students’ perceptions of using songs as a medium in english language learning. Recognizing the potential of songs to enhance motivation, engagement, and language proficiency, the research focuses on four 12th-grade students majoring in Computer and Network Engineering at SMKN 2 Kuningan. Utilizing a descriptive quantitative approach, data were collected through questionnaires comprising closed and openended questions. Findings reveal that students hold positive perceptions of using songs in learning English, noting benefits such as improved pronunciation, better vocabulary retention, increased motivation, and enhanced listening skills. The pop genre was most favored due to its clear and simple lyrics. Despite the overall enthusiasm, students identified some challenges, including difficulty understanding lyrics without written text and unclear pronunciation. Nonetheless, all participants recommended more frequent integration of songs into English instruction, emphasizing the engaging and enjoyable nature of this approach. These results suggest that incorporating music into language education can significantly contribute to student learning outcomes, especially in vocabulary acquisition and listening comprehension.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of using Blooket on vocabulary mastery of seventh grade students of SMP N 3 Kebasen Banyumas. The population data in this study is grade 7 junior high school with a total of 154 students. There are 2 classes for data collection, namely class 7A as an experimental class and 7B as a control class, where the total number of students in both classes is 64 students. which were assigned as an experimental class utilizing Blooket and a control class employing conventional methods. The conventional method is a traditional teacher-centered learning method, where students are passive and the teacher conveys material verbally through lectures without much interaction or creative activity of students. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test and analyzed using IBM SPSS Version 25 for Windows to determine the influence of Blooket in improving vocabulary acquisition. The mean score of the experimental class pre-test was 51.75, which increased to 68.25 in the post-test. Meanwhile, the mean score of the control class increased from 49.56 to 61.25.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the critical thinking ability of mathematical and self-confidence of grade VIII students of MTs Ma’arif NU 1 Kedungbanteng which are still relatively low. The learning process that encourages the development of students' cognitive and affective abilities is influenced by the learning model used in the learning process itself. The purpose of this study was to analyze whether the snowball throwing learning model with a contextual approach has an effect on students' critical thinking ability of mathematical and self-confidence. This research is a field research using quantitative methods and an experimental approach. The population of this study was all 8th grade students totaling 161, with random sampling obtained 8th grade B as the control class and 8th grade D as the experimental class. The data analysis technique used the N-Gain test, normality test, homogeneity test, and t-test. Based on the results of the study, there is an influence of the snowball throwing learning model with a contextual approach on students' critical mathematical thinking skills and self-confidence. This is evidenced by the significance of the independent sample t-test on the average N-Gain value of 0.001 <0.05. The average N-Gain of the experimental class is 0.611 which is included in the fairly effective category and higher than the average N-Gain of the control class of 0.375 which is included in the ineffective category.

Abstract

This research is motivated by several problems for during observations process, is that low learning achievement in mathematics study and there are students less attention during learning and disturb the learning process. Due to lack application of learning models that can accommodate for needs of students because that still used telling method so that is monotone of learning process for students. Therefore, this research purpose to determine the increase in student learning achievement in mathematics study if using the TGT learning model in class III A SD Negeri 2 Pliken. The research method or type of research used is classroom action research (CAR). Based on achieve data during the implementation of cycles I and II, the results of the study showed that there was a fairly high increase in cycle II. For increase in learning achievement in cycle I average value of 56.41 increasing to 82.83 in cycle II. The percentage of student in cycle I was 43.47% and increased to 82.61% in cycle II. Then the conclusion is learning model Teams Games Tournament (TGT) can be improve students' learning achievement in mathematics study in class III A, in addition to improving learning achievement, this TGT model make students actively in learning as well, so is that become effectively and conducively in learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to apply the blended learning model assisted by the whole number board and improve the numeracy skills of students in the material of whole numbers of class V of SD Negeri 3 Sokanegara in the 2024/2025 academic year. This research was conducted in April - May 2025. The method used in this study is classroom action research (CAR). This method is carried out in four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection of action. The four stages are cycles that take place repeatedly and are carried out with the same steps. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the blended learning model assisted by the whole number board can improve the numeracy skills and learning independence of students in the material of whole numbers of class V of SD Negeri 3 Sokanegara in the 2024/2025 academic year. This is indicated by the increase in students' numeracy skills pra cycle by 43% in cycle I by 70% and cycle II by 91%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of PowToon on students' descriptive writing skills. A total of 38 students participated in this study. The method used was quasi-experimental. The measurement instruments used included a pre-test, post-test, and questionnaire. The average score of the experimental group before the test was 55.95, while the average score after the test was 80.86. Furthermore, the control group's mean pre-test score was 51.88, whilst their mean post-test score was 73.82. The post-test score of the experimental group increased much more significantly compared to the control group. The independent sample t-test yielded a result of 0.001< 0.05, indicating that there was a difference in the means of the two classes. The independent sample t-test also yielded a result of 0.001< 0.05, indicating that there was an increase in the means of the two classes. The results of the questionnaire regarding students' responses after using PowToon showed positive results, that the PowToon application help the students process more creative and it helped students to improve their writing skills. Moreover, this strategy did not only increased students’ writing skills but also increased students’ technological awareness through the use of PowToon. Further, it also includes improved classroom interaction strategies. In addition, the use of PowToon has been proven to improve students' writing skills, particularly in terms of content, organization, vocabulary, grammar, mechanics, and fluency.

Abstract

PLTA Ketenger merupakan salah satu pembangkit listrik tenaga air yang dibangun pada masa kolonial Belanda dan masih beroprasi hingga saat ini. Terletak di Desa Melung, Kecamatan Kedungbanteng, Kabupaten Banyumas, pembangkit ini menjadi bukti kemajuan dan modernitas infrastruktur ketenagalistrikan yang mampu bertahan dan menyesuaikan diri dengan kebutuhan zaman. Penelitian ini berfokus pada sejarah berdirinya PLTA Ketenger, perkembangannya pada periode 1998-2008, serta peran pembangkit ini terhadap masyarakat disekitarnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian sejarah yang terdiri dari emapt tahapan yaitu, heuristik, kritik, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa meskipun merupakan penginggalan kolonial, PLTA Ketenger tetap berfungsi secara optimal dibawah pengelolaan Unit Bisnis Pembangkit (UBP) Mrica. Pada periode 1998-2008, PLTA Ketenger menunjukkan peran strategis dalam mendukung distribusi energi listrik untuk wilayah Jawa bagian Tengah melalui Gardu Induk Kalibakal. Selain itu pembangkit ini juga memberikan kontribusi bagi masyarakat sekitar seperi dalam bidang ekononi, sosial, dan pendidikan. Oleh karena itu, PLTA Ketenger tidak hanya menjadi bagian dari warisan sejarah kolonial, tetapi juga bertransformasi menjadi simbol modrnisasi dalam pengembangan Energi Baru Terbarukan (EBT) di Indonesia.

Abstract

Listening is an important part of English learning that students need; the purpose of this study is to prove that students need something interesting in listening to lessons. Students can improve their listening skills through movie media because it can attract their attention, preventing them from feeling bored. This research uses a quantitative method. We surveyed 30 students from the English Education Department through surveys after they participated in movie-based listening sessions. The results showed that students were more interested, focused, and motivated when learning with movies compared to regular listening materials. Most students agreed that movies helped them understand spoken English better since they provide context and show how people naturally speak. Overall, adding movies to listening lessons can be a great way to increase engagement and enhance listening skills in EFL classrooms.

Abstract

Penganut Kepercayaan terhadap Tuhan Yang Maha Esa yang tersebar luas di Indonesia, terutama di Jawa karena sebagai wilayah pertemuan berbagai agama besar serta kepercayaan lokal yang menghasilkan sinkretisme seperti islam kejawen. Serta dapat mengekspresikan keyakinannya melalui ajaran serta praktik sehari-hari, seperti pada himpunan penghayat kepercayaan Desa Adiraja, Kecamatan Adipala dengan menggabungkan filosofi Jawa, merawat petilasan leluhur,serta melaksanakan tradisi tahunan pada kehidupan sosial. Penelitian bertujuan memahami bagaimana Himpunan Penghayat Kepercayaan Adiraja beradaptasi serta berinteraksi pada konteks sosial yang akan tradisi maupun keberagaman agama. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode historis Metode yang digunakan menggunakan metode historis, terdiri dari Heuristik meliputi pengumpulan data dari sumber primer (wawancara dengan tokoh penghayat) serta sumber sekunder berupa studi lteratur. Metode Kritik atau Verifikasi merupakan penilaian keaslian serta keandalan sumber dengan dilakukan dengan menggunakan kritik eksternal serta internal sebagai bagian dari proses verifikasi. Metode Interpretasi, tahapan setelah heuristik dan kritik. Kemudian Metode Historiografi digunakan untuk menyusun serta menyajikan hasil penelitian, maka menggambarkan secara rinci seluruh tahapan penelitian mulai dari perencanaan hingga pengambilan kesimpulan. Penelitian tentang Himpunan Penghayat Kepercayaan untuk menggali dinamika sosial serta kearifan lokal yang tercermin pada praktik keagamaan mereka. Penelitian ini berpotensi mengungkap Sejarah serta perkembangan himpunan penghayat kepercayaan, sekaliguss memberikan pemahaman terkait konflik serta solidaritas yang terjadi pada interaksi antar kelompok kegamaan di wiliayah tersebut, maka dapat memperkaya wawasan tentang keragaman budaya dan agama di Indonesia.
