Abstract

This study was conducted to examine the extent to which compensation influences employee retention at PR. Makmur Rotama, Tasikmalaya Regency. In the context of Human Resource Management, compensation is considered a crucial factor that can encourage employees to remain with the company. A high rate of employee turnover may reduce operational efficiency and productivity; therefore, organizations need to design fair and competitive reward systems to maintain workforce stability. This research applied a quantitative approach involving two primary variables: compensation as the independent variable (X) and employee retention as the dependent variable (Y). The population consisted of 90 employees, and the sample was selected using a random sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires, direct observation, interviews, and supporting documentation. Data analysis procedures included validity and reliability testing of the instruments, simple linear regression analysis, calculation of the coefficient of determination, and a t-test to determine the significance of the effect. The findings indicate that compensation contributes 15.1% to employee retention, while the remaining 84.9% is influenced by other factors beyond the scope of this study. Thus, compensation has a positive effect on employee retention, although it is not the sole determining factor.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of service quality and communication of Field staff on the effectiveness of the Business Assistance Facilitation Program within Agrarian Reform, with participant satisfaction as a mediating variable. The study is motivated by the need to ensure that agrarian reform programs not only focus on asset legalization but also support sustainable economic empowerment for beneficiary communities. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey of program participants who directly interacted with Field staff as technical implementers in the field. The findings indicate that service quality and communication do not directly determine program effectiveness but operate through participant satisfaction as a response to the assistance process. This study emphasizes that business assistance should not be interpreted as a reflection of limited community capacity, but rather as a facilitative and coordinative mechanism to strengthen existing economic potential, indicating that program effectiveness depends on institutional role alignment, participatory service approaches, and respect for community autonomy.

Abstract

The transformation of work systems in the post-pandemic era has encouraged organizations to adopt hybrid working arrangements that may influence employees’ psychological well-being. One of the most prominent consequences is the heightened risk of burnout resulting from an imbalance between professional responsibilities and personal life roles. This study aims to analyze the effect of work-life balance and organizational support on burnout levels among employees working under a hybrid work system in Semarang City. A quantitative approach with an explanatory research design was employed. The study involved 100 respondents determined using the Lemeshow formula and selected through purposive sampling techniques. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The findings indicate that work-life balance has a negative and statistically significant effect on burnout, indicating that better work-life balance is associated with lower levels of employee burnout. Organizational support also demonstrates a negative and significant influence on burnout. These results highlight the importance of work-life balance and organizational support in reducing employee burnout within hybrid work systems.

Abstract

Employee retention is one of the biggest challenges faced by companies in today's increasingly competitive workplace, especially in the aviation sector, which is characterized by high training costs, demands for maintaining flight safety, and disruptions to flight operations. Therefore, companies need to retain their pilots so they didn't move to other companies. This study aims to analyze the influence of career management and work-life balance on employee retention, moderated by leadership at PT Garuda Indonesia. This study uses a quantitative approach with a causal approach. The population of this study consisted of all 483 B 737 pilots at PT Garuda Indonesia, using a probability sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to randomly selected respondents. Data analysis was carried out using SEM (Structural Equation Model) with the PLS (Partial Least Square) approach to test the relationship between existing variables. Data analysis in this study includes the outer model, inner model, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that career management has a positive and significant effect on employee retention. Work-life balance has a positive and significant effect on employee retention. Leadership does not moderate the effect of career management on employee retention. Similarly, leadership does not moderate the effect of work-life balance on employee retention.

Abstract

Recidivism is an important indicator in assessing the effectiveness of the correctional system and the success of inmate rehabilitation programs. The high rate of repeat offenses indicates that the process of rehabilitating and social reintegrating inmates has not been fully optimized. This study aims to analyze the influence of family support and community social support on reducing the risk of recidivism through the Personality Development program for inmates at Serang Penitentiary. This study uses a quantitative explanatory approach with a survey method. Primary data were obtained by distributing questionnaires to 130 inmates selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was conducted using the Partial Least Square–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method to test the direct and indirect relationships between variables. The results show that family support and community social support have a positive and significant effect on the Personality Development program. The Personality Development program has also been shown to have a significant effect on reducing the risk of recidivism. In addition, the development program acts as a partial mediating variable in the relationship between social support and reduced risk of recidivism. The R-square value of 0.821 indicates that family support, social support, and mentoring programs explain 82.1% of the variation in the reduction in recidivism risk. This finding confirms that the success of inmate reintegration is not solely determined by mentoring within correctional institutions but is also significantly influenced by family involvement and social acceptance. Therefore, the synergy between correctional institutions, families, and the community needs to be strengthened to sustainably reduce the risk of recidivism.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine how a brass manufacturing company in Karangrejo Village, Juwana, addresses the impact of skills and work flexibility on employee performance. Improving employee performance is crucial, and previous research has shown conflicting findings when examining the impact of these two factors. This is the rationale for this study. Using census methodology as the sampling method, the study population consisted of seventy-six individuals from six different brass manufacturing companies. To analyze the data, multiple linear regression was used on the administered questionnaire. The results indicate that employee performance is positively and significantly influenced by work flexibility. Workplace performance is positively and significantly influenced by worker ability. Accountability, punctuality, quantity, and quality of employee work significantly improve with increased work flexibility and skills. These findings suggest that the implementation of controlled work flexibility and continuous skills development can optimally improve employee performance. This study implies that companies need to design adaptive work policies and appropriate training programs to support the achievement of production targets and organizational sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Local Own-Source Revenue (PAD), the General Allocation Fund (DAU), and the Physical Special Allocation Fund (DAKF) on regional capital expenditure (BM), and to test the presence of the flypaper effect in districts/municipalities of Bengkulu Province during 2019–2024. The study uses a balanced panel dataset of 10 local governments over six years (60 observations), with all variables transformed into natural logarithms. The data are analyzed using a random-effects panel regression model with robust inference. The results show that PAD does not have a significant effect on capital expenditure, while DAU and DAKF have positive and significant effects. A Wald test on coefficient restrictions indicates that the effect of DAU is statistically more dominant than that of PAD, confirming the presence of the flypaper effect. These findings indicate that capital expenditure in districts/municipalities of Bengkulu Province remains more responsive to intergovernmental transfers than to local own-source revenue. The study implies the need to improve capital expenditure planning quality and strengthen local fiscal capacity to support fiscal independence and better public services.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the relationship between budget planning and human resource competencies on budget absorption rates, as well as to analyze the effectiveness of these two aspects at the Makassar City Regional Development Planning Agency for the 2020–2024 period. The data used consisted of budget realization reports and personnel data, which were then analyzed using Spearman’s rank correlation to examine the relationships among the variables. The results of the study indicate that budget planning has a positive relationship with budget absorption rates, with a correlation coefficient of 0.583, which falls into the moderate category. Meanwhile, human resource competency exhibits a very strong positive relationship, with a correlation coefficient of 0.955. These findings indicate that while budget planning plays a role in improving budget absorption, human resource competency has a more dominant influence in supporting the effectiveness of budget implementation. Therefore, improving the quality of human resources as well as enhancing coordination and the implementation of planning are strategic steps in optimizing budget absorption.

Abstract

The rapid increase in cryptocurrency adoption among Generation Z in Indonesia has raised concerns regarding investment decision-making in highly volatile digital asset markets. This study examines the influence of herding behavior, social media exposure, and fear of missing out (FOMO) on cryptocurrency investment decisions, with financial literacy as a moderating variable. A quantitative approach was employed using survey data from 200 Generation Z cryptocurrency investors in Pontianak City. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4. The results show that herding behavior and social media significantly influence investment decisions. Fear of missing out also affects investor decision-making. Financial literacy moderates the relationship between herding behavior and investment decisions as well as between social media and investment decisions, but does not moderate the relationship between FOMO and investment decisions. These findings indicate that cryptocurrency investment decisions among Generation Z are influenced by social interactions and emotional biases.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of Digital Green Marketing (DGM), Green Perceived Value (GPV), and Environmental Concern (EC) on consumers’ Willingness to Pay Premium Price (WTPP) in Indonesia, with Eco-literacy (EL) as a moderating variable. Using a quantitative approach with 200 respondents aged 18–30 and analyzed SEM-PLS, the results show that DGM, GPV, and EC have a significant positive effect on WTPP. Furthermore, Eco-literacy significantly strengthens all relationships between the independent variables and WTPP, indicating its critical role in transforming environmental awareness into actual economic commitment. These findings suggest that although consumers are increasingly exposed to sustainability issues, their willingness to pay premium prices depends not only on marketing exposure and perceived value but also on their level of environmental understanding. This study contributes to the literature by highlighting eco-literacy as a key boundary condition in sustainable consumption behavior. Practically, it emphasizes the importance of integrating educational elements into digital green marketing strategies to enhance consumer willingness to support sustainable products.
