Abstract

The digitalization of Islamic sciences, particularly in the field of Hadith studies, has become an urgent necessity in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The Hadith Studies Program holds a crucial role in transmitting the teachings of the Prophet through digital media, which has become a primary source of reference for contemporary society. However, students' mastery of digital technology in this field remains limited. This study aims to explore the concept of Hadith digitalization and to formulate strategies for strengthening the digital competencies of Hadith Studies students. This is a qualitative research employing a field study approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving 26 sixth-semester students of the Hadith Studies Program at UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung, who were enrolled in the Programming Language course. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The research findings indicate that digital competence can be enhanced through several strategic models: an integrated curriculum, pre-technology readiness tests, mentoring and tutoring, hybrid learning methods, collaboration with digital communities, and project-based Hadith digitalization assignments. The study concludes that integrating Hadith scholarship with digital literacy is essential to preserve authenticity and to broaden the accurate dissemination of Hadith in the digital domain.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of interactive media based on artificial intelligence (AI) in improving the quality of Islamic religious education (IRE) learning in the digital era. The research employs a qualitative empirical approach conducted at UIN Raden Intan Lampung. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving students and lecturers directly engaged in AI-based learning processes. The findings show that using AI-based interactive media significantly enhances students' learning outcomes through adaptive and personalized learning approaches, making IRE material easier to understand and more relevant to the needs of millennial and Gen Z learners. Furthermore, AI media successfully increases students’ motivation by providing an interactive, enjoyable, and visually engaging learning experience, which has been a significant challenge in traditional religious education. Positive perceptions from students and lecturers strengthen the effectiveness of technology as a learning aid. However, the successful implementation of AI media heavily depends on technological infrastructure readiness, as well as the competence and support of educators. However, the study also identifies several significant obstacles, such as limited technology access and teacher training, which remain substantial challenges in using AI-based interactive media in educational settings. Therefore, maximizing the potential of AI-based interactive media in IRE learning requires collaborative efforts from multiple stakeholders, including the development of technological infrastructure, intensive teacher training, and policy support that promotes the integration of technology in religious education—so that this media not only enhances cognitive aspects but also contributes to affective and psychomotor learning dimensions in the digital age.

Abstract

This study explores the strategic role of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) as a philosophical foundation in shaping human character in the Society 5.0 era. Amid globalization and rapid technological advancement, religious values are often marginalized or distorted. This research aims to analyze Surah Al-Baqarah verse 129 as a foundation for developing a relevant and applicable IRE curriculum in modern times. The method used is library research, focusing on analyzing literature related to Islamic education, character development, and the integration of Islamic and general sciences. The findings highlight three key pillars emphasized in the verse: strengthening faith (aqidah), teaching the Qur’an and Sunnah, and purification of the soul. These components are essential in shaping morally upright and intellectually capable individuals. The study also reveals that technological integration, holistic approaches, and lifelong learning are critical strategies for addressing challenges in contemporary Islamic education. By adopting Surah Al-Baqarah:129 as a philosophical foundation, IRE can foster a generation that is ethical, tolerant, and globally competitive without losing its spiritual identity.

Abstract

This study examines the granting of exclusive rights by the state to registered trademark holders based on the constitutive principle and the first to file approach. Legal protection for trademarks in Indonesia is only granted if the owner registers it formally, not merely based on prior use. The aim of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of the first to file principle within the constitutive framework and its implications for legal certainty. This research employs a normative juridical method with a doctrinal approach. Secondary data—including primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials—was collected through library research and analyzed qualitatively using deductive reasoning. The study focuses on the trademark registration mechanism at the Directorate General of Intellectual Property. The findings reveal that trademark registration in Indonesia involves formal examination, public announcement, and substantive examination as procedural steps to obtain lawful protection. This system ensures legal protection for good-faith applicants and prevents ownership conflicts. The study concludes that the application of the first to file principle within a constitutive legal framework offers legitimate and effective protection for trademark rights, serving as a vital legal tool to uphold certainty within Indonesia’s intellectual property system.

Abstract

Religious institutions play a crucial role in shaping Indonesia’s criminal law system. Religious norms, particularly Islamic law, not only serve as a source of moral values but also contribute to the formation of positive legal norms. This study aims to analyze the role of religious institutions in Indonesia’s criminal law system. It employs a juridical-normative method with a qualitative approach, focusing on the analysis of legal texts, religious documents, and relevant scholarly works. Data were collected through literature study, drawing on sacred texts, legislation, religious decrees, and academic journals. The data were analyzed qualitatively through data reduction, data presentation, and inductive conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that religious institutions influence the formation of criminal law principles, such as justice, proportionality, personal responsibility, and humane treatment. The Islamic criminal law system, consisting of hudud, qishas/diyat, ta'zir, and makhzurat categories, serves as a selective reference within the national legal system. This study concludes that Indonesia's criminal law system results from a complex adaptation of religious norms, modern law, and social needs. Future research is recommended to explore the role of religious institutions in contemporary criminal policy, such as cybercrime and protection of vulnerable groups, through empirical studies.

Abstract

This study examines the bankruptcy potential of two major banks in Indonesia, namely PT. Bank Central Asia Tbk and PT. Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, using the Altman Z-Score method. The objective of this research is to assess the bankruptcy risk of both banks and to identify whether they fall into the safe or distress category. This research applies a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The data used are secondary data obtained from the annual financial reports of both banks from 2011 to 2021, sourced from the Indonesia Stock Exchange official website and the banks' respective official websites. Data collection techniques include literature review and documentation study. The data analysis uses financial ratios, including Working Capital to Total Assets (X1), Retained Earnings to Total Assets (X2), Earnings Before Interest and Taxes to Total Assets (X3), and Market Value of Equity to Total Liabilities (X4), which are then processed using the Altman Z-Score formula for non-manufacturing companies. The results show that throughout the observed period, both banks were categorized in the distress zone (potential bankruptcy) as their Z-scores remained below 1.81. These findings indicate a significant financial risk that should be seriously addressed by management. This study recommends further comprehensive research to analyze internal and external factors affecting the banks' financial performance and suggests using alternative bankruptcy prediction methods for comparison.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of digitally differentiated Arabic language learning for students with special needs in the Integrated Islamic Elementary School at SDIT Darul Falah Sukoreo Ponorogo. It is a case study research involving seven students with special needs at SDIT Darul Falah. The data collection technique uses observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Meanwhile, data analysis is carried out by data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions drawn. The study results showed that Arabic at SDIT Darul Falah Sukorejo Ponorogo is a lesson within the framework of an informal curriculum that must be taught to regular students and students with special needs. Second, the Arabic learning methodology for students with special needs focuses on the self-esteem approach, which aims to increase student confidence, affecting Arabic's motivation and learning outcomes. Third, Digital Differentiated Arabic Language Learning for students with special needs uses more digital media such as audio-visual media, animated graphics, and educational and social media; this effort is carried out on the principle of second language learning (B2), which must involve the needs of students, especially students with special needs. Digitally differentiated Arabic learning has shown its effectiveness in improving the quality of learning. This digital media can help students with special needs to understand and interact with Arabic more easily. Teachers at SDIT must be trained to use the self-esteem approach and digital technology to learn Arabic. This is so teachers can effectively teach students with special needs.

Abstract

This study examines the implications of waqf signs on the interpretation of the verse concerning the waiting period (iddah) for women in Surah Al-Baqarah verse 228. Waqf signs in the Qur'anic manuscript are not merely technical reading guides but also carry significant interpretative functions, especially in legal verses. The purpose of this research is to analyze the role of the al-waqfu awlā sign in separating two distinct legal structures within the verse: the regulation of the iddah period and the prohibition of concealing pregnancy. This research employs a qualitative method with a library research approach. Primary data consist of Surah Al-Baqarah: 228 from the standard Mushaf in the narration of Ḥafṣ from ʿĀṣim, while secondary data are drawn from classical and modern exegesis, tajwīd texts, and fiqh literature. Data were collected through documentation and analyzed descriptively using thematic interpretation and semiotic analysis. The results show that the placement of the al-waqfu awlā sign directly influences the segmentation of meaning in the verse and determines the scope of the legal interpretations derived from it. The study concludes that waqf signs have epistemological value in the construction of Islamic legal exegesis.

Abstract

This study examines the validity of the Consumer Dispute Settlement Agency’s (BPSK) authority in handling banking disputes, as reflected in the Supreme Court Decision No. 253 K/Pdt.Sus-BPSK/2017. The aim is to analyze the legal scope of BPSK’s jurisdiction over conflicts between consumers and financial service institutions. The research employs a normative juridical approach with a descriptive-analytical method, using secondary data from primary, secondary, and tertiary legal sources. The study is library-based, with legal documents as the primary source. Data were analyzed qualitatively using descriptive analysis. Findings show that arbitration-based banking dispute resolution falls under the authority of the Financial Services Sector Alternative Dispute Resolution Body, as regulated by Law No. 21 of 2011 and POJK No. 1/POJK.07/2014. The Supreme Court concluded that BPSK has no absolute jurisdiction over banking breach of contract cases, thus annulling BPSK’s decision in the case in question. The study highlights the importance of institutional accuracy in dispute resolution to ensure valid legal protection for involved parties.
