Abstract

Cyber warfare is a form of warfare that is explicitly unmanageable by existing international law. While most experts agree that legal restrictions should apply to this phenomenon. Cyber warfare has also presented unprecedented new challenges to the application of International Humanitarian Law (IH), particularly in terms of the protection of civilians. As digital infrastructure becomes an essential part of civilian life and military operations, the basic principles of HHI such as distinctiveness, proportionality, and prudence face significant obstacles in cyberspace. This article analyzes a variety of emerging legal ambiguities, including attribution issues, dual-use infrastructure, and non-physical impacts on civilians. In addition, this article explores legal innovations such as the reinterpretation of existing principles, the role of the Tallinn Manual, as well as the possibility of developing new legal instruments that are more adaptive to digital reality. The study concludes with policy recommendations to strengthen civil protection and enrich the cyber law architecture through multilateral cooperation and the development of new legal norms.

Abstract

Adolescents are an age group that is vulnerable to nutritional problems due to physiological changes and modern lifestyles. This study aims to determine the relationship between fat intake and physical activity and nutritional status in SMPN 22 Surakarta students. This study uses an analytical observational design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample amounted to 141 students who were selected using a simple random sampling technique. Fat intake data was collected through the 24-Hour Food Recall method for three non-consecutive days and analyzed using Nutrisurvey 2007, while physical activity was measured using the PAQ-A questionnaire. Nutritional status is determined based on the body mass index by age (BMI/U) based on z-score using WHO standards. The results of statistical analysis showed that there was no relationship between fat intake and nutritional status (p = 0.997) or between physical activity and nutritional status (p = 0.070) in SMPN 22 Surakarta students. This study indicates that other factors beyond fat intake and physical activity may play a role in determining adolescent nutritional status.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

This study has analyzed the multimodal construction of artificial intelligence (AI) features in Samsung Galaxy S24 AI Series advertising videos through a social semiotics approach to multimodal discourse analysis. The research focuses on how each AI feature in each segment of the video represents meaning through verbal and visual elements. Verbal elements have been analyzed for Halliday's ideational meaning which focuses on the main character's speech in the video. The visual elements have been analyzed based on Kress and van Leeuwen's visual grammar and how the two elements work together to form a meaning or narrative of advanced technology advertisements such as AI features. The analysis was conducted to explore the narrative and conceptual representations in the video. The results show that the Samsung brand from this video successfully integrates verbal and visual elements to create a narrative of efficiency and convenience, portraying AI technology as an intuitive tool to help users perform daily productivity. The findings contribute to the study of advertising strategies on technology, by highlighting how multimodal approaches influence consumers' perceptions of advanced technology, especially AI technology.

Abstract

Abstract

Along with the development of the times and increasingly rapid technology, it is possible for music artists to continue to be creative and innovate to create new genres. Like in the dangdut music genre, which began to develop koplo since the 2000s. Even today, this school is still widely favored by all circles of society, especially on the island of Java. A song can also be considered a cultural product of a region because it contains the meaning of life of the people in a certain region. Like the song "Mangku Purel," which is popular lately. Even though it is delivered using the dangdut koplo school, the song contains a deep meaning that is meant to be conveyed to the listeners. This study aims to explain the phenomenon of blurring the meaning of songs that occurs due to stage activities carried out by two singers who perform the song. The research method used was qualitative descriptive, using data in the form of screenshots that displayed the stage action of the singer when performing the song. To analyze the meaning more sharply, the researcher used a semiotic study that has been presented by Jhon Fiske at three levels, namely reality, representation, and ideology. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that there is a meaning of the message in the form of facts that occur in people's lives in the Koplo song.

Abstract

This research conducted to analyze the effect of Compensation and Work Culture on the Performance of State Civil Apparatus (ASN) employees, moderated by Work Motivation. The research was conducted on ASN employees at the Badan Pendapatan Daerah Kabupaten Cianjur. The research method used was descriptive verification. The sampling technique employed was saturated sampling, with a sample size of 42 respondents taken from the entire population. The data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS version 24 statistical software. This research was conducted through observation, interviews, and questionnaires, which served as guidelines for conducting interviews as a data collection technique. The results showed that Compensation and Work Culture have a positive and significant effect on the Performance of ASN employees, both partially and simultaneously. The analysis results indicate that Work Motivation strengthens the positive effect of Compensation on Employee Performance. However, Work Motivation, conversely, weakens the positive effect of Work Culture on Employee Performance. These findings suggest that fair and appropriate compensation, when combined with high Work Motivation, can improve Employee Performance. Nevertheless, high Work Motivation can reduce the effectiveness of implementing Work Culture in enhancing Employee Performance. This research provides practical implications for human resource management in the public sector, particularly in efforts to improve organizational performance quality through the provision of fair and appropriate compensation, the development of a positive work culture, and the enhancement of work motivation.
