Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine the effect of transformational leadership, change management, and employee engagement on competitive advantage. This study used quantitative approach with path analysis techniques. Data was collected by distributing instruments at the Sailing Polytechnic BPSDM Ministry of Transportation. The results of the study were as follows, there were: (1) positive direct effect of transformational leadership on competitive advantage; (2) positive direct effect of change management on competitive advantage; (3) positive direct effect of employees engagement on competitive advantage; (4) positive direct effect of transformational leadership on employees engagement; and (5) positive direct effect of change management on employees engagement.

Abstract

This study is aimed to identify how the implementation of full-day school programs in High Schools 3 and 8 Yogyakarta. This research is related to policies due to changing times. The approach used is a qualitative case study. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of this study were the school principal, deputy headmaster, educators, education staff, BK teachers, students, and graduates. The findings show that a full-day school creates conflict for schools and makes schools adapt to new rules

Abstract

This research aimed to identify the effect of learning experiences through peer tutoring on students' critical thinking skills in biology learning. Then the specific target to be achieved from this study is a learning innovation that has a rapid effect on improving students' critical thinking skills in biology learning in high school students in Jambi City. The research method uses quasi-experimental research design. The procedure used was the pretest and posttest nonequivalent control group design experimental procedure. Hypothesis testing results that T count ≥ T table (2.12 ≥1.69) with a significance level of 0.05. It can be concluded that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. The achievement of critical thinking skills on experimental class was higher with a percentage of 58.78% compared to the control class with a percentage of 55.26%. The conclusion from this research is that there is a significant effect on implementation of collaborative learning models using the Class wide Peer Tutoring strategy toward students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to uncover and study the form of fishing household community organizations in South Maitara Village, and to identify the types of roles in fishing households and the distribution of these roles to each family member of the fishing household community in South Maitara Village. The research method used is a case study that is an approach that aims to maintain the needs of the object to be studied. Case studies must be characterized as explorative research (Vredenbregt, 1980). The research sample is a fishing household community in South Maitara village, fishing households in South Maitara village are 32 RTN. The results showed that the fishermen household organization is a combination of cooperation between family members in the fishing household in order to achieve the desired goals. The fishing household community in the village of South Maitara shows that there is harmony between family members in carrying out each of their roles. The role of family members of the fishing household community in South Maitara is still very dependent on the fulfillment of the household economy, the results of the study indicate that in general the role of household members, especially children, is more concentrated in domestic activities, where the division of tasks is carried out based on the ability of their children and gender

Abstract

This paper discusses earthquake risk reduction based on Islamic religious education curriculum. Indonesia is an archipelago located at the confluence of tectonic plates. This causes frequent earthquakes. In an effort to reduce the risks caused by the earthquake the Government, through the Minister of National Education since 2010 has given serious attention to the issue of disasters. One of them is through the integration of disaster lessons into the school curriculum. This paper analyzes the Disaster Risk Reduction based on Islamic Religious Education Curriculum. The result is that fiqh, creed, morals, al-quran and Hadith are very worthy to be integrated with disaster lessons.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how the change management process was carried out at the Islamic College in Indonesia, and what was the backgroud changes occur. This research method used qualitative with data collection techniques of interviews, documentation, and observation. The results of this study indicated that the factors driving change were namely; internal and external factors. Internal factors can be arised from within the organization of Islamic higher education institutions. Meanwhile, internal factors can be arised from outside the organization or institution. In the process of change that occurred at UIN Riau and UIN Bandung, Kurt Lewin's theory was more dominated as the main model. However, from the results of this study, the authors resulted in the development of a more dynamic theory of Kurt Lewin, namely (doctrining, unfreezing, changing, freezing, innovating). The five steps of the process of change the researchers produced from an argumentative analysis that changed in nature continue to occur, so that it took various innovations to one another and continuous innovation.

Abstract

Training and skills are important factors that must be possessed by every employee. This research aims to describe the role of skills and training to increase production in the CV Berkah Saintek relatively low employee performance supported by research results. This research is a descriptive qualitative research, the subject of this study is the employee of CV Blessing Sainteks Data collection is done by observation, interview, and survey techniques. The validity of the data is done by triangulation of techniques and sources. Data analysis techniques using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed that the training and skills carried out by CV Berkah Saintek were good enough, but needed improvement, and the addition of material. Training and skills can improve production results, because employees get enough training, if there is additional production.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim to better understand whether there are variables and how much the variables of Non Performing Loans (NPL) and BI Rate that affect the amount of MSME Credit distributed by the Persero in the 2014-2018 observation period. The population used in this research was the financial statements of SOE banking companies that belonged to as many as 4 banks consisting PT. Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk, PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk, PT. Bank Mandiri Tbk, and PT. Bank Tabungan Negara Tbk. Sampling was carried out using the purposive sampling method, the data used came from the OJK annual report and the financial statements attached to the websites of each state-owned bank during 2014-2018. The methods used include multiple linear regression analysis, coefficient of determination, f test (simultaneous test), and t test (partial test). The results of this study indicate that NPL partially has a significant effect on the number of MSME loans. While the BI Rate partially has no significant effect on the number of MSME loans. Then from the results of the F test it was concluded that the NPL and BI Rate had a simultaneous effect on the number of MSME loans.

Abstract

This study aims to closely observe the facts of development in the border area by using the Qualitative Descriptive method. Research results show that in the development development in Morotai there are still limitations, including, the level of poverty that is fluctuating every year, and the Human Development Index (HDI) which is only expected. In addition, economic aspects are also a frightening specter for development in Morotai Island Regency. Spatial planning is not yet pro-people, pro-poor, and pro-border in the front yard. As a result, the economic conditions at the border as reflected today, such as the very lack of economic infrastructure (both transportation, communication, information, and banking) as well as the inconsistency of urbanization of the existing population of the city center of the island of morotai island to isolated villages. the weak technical institutions of the government contributed to the development inconsistency in Morotai. The conclusion of this study is that Morotai as a border area in the aspect of Development is considered to be less than optimal, this is due to the weak role of the BPPD / Morotai Regency Government for the planned program, both from the aspect of Human Resource Development, Infrastructure and other aspects, whereas in the RPJMN, the border area is the homepage The development of the Republic of Indonesia, which must be encouraged, is not the case, so Morotai's IKM and HDI are fluctuating every year until 2018

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of instructional media, especially picture media on the improvement of mathematics learning outcomes in the concept of division in class IV Daeo Inpres Elementary School. This type of research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) with research subjects of 30 students consisting of 12 women and 18 men. This action research was carried out with two cycles consisting of stages: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Data collection techniques through observation and tests and data were analyzed in quantitative descriptive form. The results of this study indicate that the application of learning media can increase the activities of students and teachers in the teaching and learning process. Student activity from Cycle I an average score of 35% increased in cycle II to an average score of 95%. Likewise, teacher activity in cycle I had an average score of 40% and in cycle II teacher activity had increased with an average score of 92.50%. Likewise, student learning outcomes have increased from the first cycle to an average score of 51.38 and in the second cycle reached 83.33% or 25 students who completed 30 students.
