Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of organizational strategy and infrastructure management on the performance of vocational high school teachers. Research using quantitative methods and research design using path analysis. The population of this study was 35 teachers of SMK 27 and SMK 1. This study found more of the following: 1. There was a positive direct effect on organizational strategy in improving performance; 2, there is a positive direct effect on the management of infrastructure suggestions on performance.

Abstract

This research aims to find out: (1) the effect of group cohesiveness toward performance; (2) the effect of work discipline toward performance; (3) the effect of group cohesiveness toward work discipline. This research uses survey method. Hypothesis testing with path analysis testing. The unit of analysis in this study is teacher on senior high school in East Jakarta with a sample of 199 people selected using random sampling techniques. The results showed that: (1) there is a direct positive effect of group cohesiveness toward performance; (2) there is a direct positive effect of work discipline toward performance; (3) there is a direct positive effect of group cohesiveness toward work discipline.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand the Effect of Compensation And Work Culture On Teacher Performance. This is a quantitative research using a questionnaire method conducted at the vocational school (SMK) of Serang, Banten Province in 2019. Data were collected through participant observation using a questionnaire, observation, document study. Analysis and interpretation of the data shows that (1) The increase in compensation received by teachers of Serang City Vocational Schools in Banten Province causes an increase in the performance of these teachers. (2) A high work culture will improve the performance of vocational school (SMK) of Serang, Banten Province. (3) Increasing compensation will improve the work culture of Serang Vocational School in Banten Province.The findings lead to recommendations for the provincial government to increase the value of compensation for teachers in accordance with the UMP, principals in order to maintain and preserve a work culture of teachers who are in good condition, instilling an attitude of initiative from the teacher's person to always improve their knowledge, abilities, skills and skills in carrying out tasks

Abstract

In the digital age the majority of students are already using gadgets in their daily lives. The development of increasingly sophisticated digital technology in this era presents its own challenges for Intensive Writing lecturer to continue to innovate and be creative in developing effective and interesting Intensive Writing teaching materials. However, after we pay attention in several universities most of the lecturers still do not use interesting and up-to-date teaching materials. Hence students are not excited and do not pay attention to the lesson enthusiastically. The result will affect their low interest and ability to learn English, especially writing. Therefore, it takes Intensive Writing Instruction by using the Padlet application. Padlet application is a digital media which is intended for instructional learning. This study aims to explain the use of Padlet application in the Intensive Writing instruction process in tertiary institutions. Data collection method is carried out by observation, interview and documentation. The results show that the use of the Padlet application can support lecturers in fun English learning activities. Because lecturers and students can write anything related to learning and exchange ideas by sending pictures, videos and links through Padlet application. They interact through digital technology with Padlet application so they no longer need a blackboard to write.

Abstract

The difficulties of small enterprise need to be anticipated by conducting empirical testing through a study of the spirit of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship values, and studies of entrepreneurial behavior that can affect the process of achieving entrepreneurial independence. This study aims to analyze the influence of entrepreneurship spirit and entrepreneurship values ​​on entrepreneurial behavior to create entrepreneurial independence. The method used in analyzing data was Path Analysis. The sample in this study was 125 small entreprises consisted of 45 small enterprises of Batik Pekalongan, 42 small enterprises of traditional foods Batu Malang and 38 small enterprises of Ceramic Kasongan Bantul Yogyakarta. The data analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The test results showed that the spirit of entrepreneurship had a direct influence on entrepreneurial behavior and an indirect effect on entrepreneurial independence. Entrepreneurship value had a direct influence on entrepreneurial behavior and also indirectly affects entrepreneurial independence. While entrepreneurial behavior had a positive effect on business independence.

Abstract

Tiga Tungku is a leadership model in Papua villages, where a village is led by three leaders who hold pivotal roles. Tungku Pemerintah that is led by the village head, Tungku Adat that is led by Ondoafi, and Tungku KeAgamaan (church) that is led by a pastor. The present study aims (1) to see the role of each leadership Tungku in development activity, particularly community empowerment, and (2) to see the relational pattern in community empowerment in Usku Village, Senggi District, Keerom Regency, Papua Province by the presence of Tiga Tungku leadership. The present study applied qualitative approach. This approach was used to obtain an in-depth understanding of the role and the relational pattern in the development process and community empowerment in Usku Village. The study found that the relational pattern of the development activity and community empowerment in Usku Village, Senggi District, Keerom Regency exhibit Complementary and Accommodating typology. Complementary typology is seen from the Informal institution, namely, Tungku Adat (Ondoafi) and Tungku KeAgamaan (Church) complement the Formal institution, i.e., the village head. However, in some cases, Accommodating typology also presents where the informal institution can create a rule that stems from its norms/values to set its member's behavior, indirectly changing the substantive values of formal rules. In this relation, the community rule enforces the state's formal rule.

Abstract

This research aims at obtaining an overview of how the Cognitively Guided Instruction (CGI) model develops Mathematical Knowledge for Teaching of Early Childhood Education (ECE) teachers. The participants of the research were five kindergarten teachers in one district in West Java, Indonesia, who were purposively selected. The research design employed is a qualitative case study approach and thematic analysis to process and analyze the data. The findings show that the Cognitively Guided Instruction (CGI) model applied in the Professional Development Program (PDP) can develop Mathematical Knowledge for Teaching (MKT) of Early Childhood Education (ECE) teachers. This model is considered to be useful as the intervention provided can develop teachers' knowledge properly, resulting in the improvement of teachers' MKT.

Abstract

Each student has a different level of mathematical imagination ability. To find out the level of mathematical imagination ability, it is first necessary to arrange indicators of mathematical imagination ability based on the sequence of appearance from the earliest. The participants of this study were 20 8th grade students consisting of 13 female students and 7 male students. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. Assist instruments in this study consisted of written tests in the form of essays, interview guidelines, and observation sheets. Data analysis was performed by data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results obtained from this study are sequence indicators of junior high school students' mathematical imagination abilities namely, sensibility, intuition, crystallization, transformation, exploration, elaboration, productivity, effectiveness, novelty.

Abstract

This research aims to describe students ' ability to study program of mathematics to be ready to become professional teacher. This research is a qualitative descriptive study in which the research subject is a student of odd microteaching semester 2019/2020 academic year which consisted 8 pre-service teachers selected with purposive sampling technique. Data collection instruments i.e., professional knowledge sheet, practice assessment sheet and interview. Based on the results of data analysis can be described that most students of pre-service mathematics teachers already have readiness to become a professional mathematics teachers seen from two readiness indicators namely, professional knowledge and professional practice.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to determine the effect of teamwork, and trust toward Job Satisfaction of the teachers high school in Bekasi City. This research was quantitative approach and path analysis method was applied to analyse the data. In this research, the target population size of this research is 889 teachers of state high school and research samples has been choosen as a unit analysis as much as 276 teachers of state high school in Bekasi City. The results of the research that: (1) teamwork has a direct positive effect on Job Satisfaction; (2) trust has a direct positive effect on profesional commitment; The research suggested that teamwork, and trust were important determinants of teacher’s Job Satisfaction.
