Abstract

Academic supervision is frequently reduced to a formal administrative procedure, whereas its core essence is to enhance instructional quality. This qualitative single-case study aims to analyze the actualization of the leadership hadith as a foundation for prophetic accountability in academic supervision at SDN 3 Sawoo, and its implications for strengthening teacher competence within the Independent Curriculum framework. Data were gathered through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using data condensation, thematic categorization, and triangulation techniques. The findings indicate that spiritual responsibility is integrated into four operational stages: rotating scheduling, classroom observation, checklist-based recording, and evaluation via dialogic coaching. The primary constraints identified are the acting principal's limited time due to dual assignments and operational budget constraints. Theorizing from the data, this study conceptualizes a prophetic accountability cycle consisting of amanah > muraqabah > muhasabah > islah, which bridges transcendental commitment with professional performance evidence. However, the program's success remains evident only at the process level, meaning its long-term impact on teacher competence warrants further longitudinal inquiry. This study recommends incorporating spiritual values to optimize academic supervision effectiveness in elementary schools.

Abstract

Academic supervision is frequently perceived as an administrative and evaluative activity that positions teachers as mere assessment objects. This study aims to analyze the actualization of Prophetic ethics regarding consultation within the academic supervision cycle at SMP Negeri 3 Krian. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed using observations, interviews, and documentation of the 2022/2023 supervision program. Data were analyzed thematically through condensation, categorization, matrix display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that consultation was actualized in target coordination, individual group approaches, joint findings discussion, and collective follow up formulation. This model successfully transforms administrative control into egalitarian professional learning. However, its effectiveness remains constrained by unequal supervisor distribution and potential assessment subjectivity. This study recommends a reflective consultation supervision cycle integrating participation, trustworthiness, justice, benefit, and accountability to strengthen teacher agency and school collaborative culture.

Abstract

Digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) create an epistemological dilemma in Islamic educational management: the risk of becoming technocratic by relying solely on algorithmic efficiency, or unresponsive if religious values serve merely as normative legitimation. This critical-integrative literature review aims to reconstruct the epistemological foundations of Islamic educational management by integrating revelation, rationality, empirical evidence, and ethics. The study proposes the Integrative-Trusteeship Epistemology Model, which comprises five dimensions: tawhidic-maqasid orientation, critical rationality, data validation, participatory deliberation, and ethical-digital accountability. This model is operationalized through a cycle of purpose, evidence, consultation, action, and muhasabah (reflective accountability). The novelty lies in shifting knowledge governance to position AI and data as supportive instruments rather than moral authorities. This framework ensures that innovation and leadership in Islamic educational institutions remain effective, humane, and responsible.
