Abstract

Interfaith marriage is a global phenomenon that raises various challenges, including in the context of legal protection for children. In Indonesia, this issue is becoming increasingly important considering the diversity of religions and beliefs held by its people, which requires an inclusive and fair legal approach. Comparative studies between Indonesia and other countries in terms of legal protection for children in interfaith marriages are important to identify best practices that can be adopted and adapted. This research aims to explore and compare the legal framework for child protection in interfaith marriages in Indonesia with other countries, to identify lacuna and provide policy recommendations. This research uses a normative legal approach with comparative studies, collecting data from various relevant sources and processing it to obtain significant findings. The research conclusions show that an inclusive and effective legal framework, along with efficient implementation, is the main key to ensuring the protection of children's rights in the context of interfaith marriages. Indonesia needs to adopt and adapt best practices from other successful countries in this regard, including strengthening the legal framework, increasing public education and awareness, and establishing effective support mechanisms. Through collaboration between stakeholders and active community participation, a more inclusive and supportive environment for children from interfaith marriages can be created. This ensures that their rights and welfare are thoroughly protected. It is hoped that the resulting policy recommendations can help strengthen child protection in interfaith marriages in Indonesia.

Abstract

Ciliang Village has tourism potential, namely nature, culture, and cuisine. One of the famous there is Batu Hiu Beach. However, this potential has not been explored optimally, as can be seen from the status of the developing village index in 2022 which still has the title "Developing". This research was conducted to identify the potential of the Ciliang Village area and determine a strategy for developing a potential tourist attraction. This research was conducted in the Ciliang Village Tourism Area, Parigi District, Pangandaran Regency. Data collection was carried out through interviews and observations then supported by the results of the documentation. Data and information are described descriptively. Based on the results of field observations and in-depth interviews, the strategy for developing tourist attractions by implementing the CBT concept can be started by conducting counseling and introducing the CBT concept, its benefits, and its impacts. This counseling can begin to be socialized to the closest stakeholders such as Pokdarwis and will then be disseminated to the surrounding community. Hopefully, with this development strategy, the Batu Hiu Beach tourist area can increase tourist visits.

Abstract

Based on Law Number 23 of 2014 regarding on Regional Government, it is stated that fire is one of mandatory affairs relating to basic services in the field of public order and community protection. One of the consequences of mandatory matters related to basic services is the Minimum Service Standards (called SPM) set by the government to provide guarantees that all citizens in Indonesia will receive a minimum basic services, including in the fire sector. The institutional form of regional fire service organization is an important aspect in supporting the effective implementation of regional government duties in carrying out mandatory affairs related to basic services. Therefore, organizational transformation is a necessity that cannot be avoided, considering the various factors that influence the organization are changing so rapidly. The purpose of this research is to find out how organizational transformation occurs, to find the determining factors and to formulate a model for organizational transformation of regional fire service organization. The research method used is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach with data collection through interviews, observations and documentations. This research analyzes and evaluates the organizational structure of regional fire service organization in Serang City, Banten Province. The research results show that the transformation has been analyzed using the 4R approach (Reframing, Restructure, Revitalization and Renewal). In principle, the process of organizational transformation of regional fire service organization in Serang City, Banten Province has been carried out. This can be seen from the changes in organizational form and structure that adapt to district needs. However, this transformation shows suboptimal because it is not based on the implementation of the organization's mission, application of rules and political will. Thus, an ideal organization has not yet been achieved. A regional apparatus organization that handles the mandatory affairs related to basic services, the nomenclature, structure, duties and functions of fire and rescue services should be in an independent agency at least with the type C model.

Findings reveal that robust governance structures, transparency, and community involvement are critical for the success of anti-corruption initiatives. The study also identifies common challenges, including resistance to change, inadequate enforcement mechanisms, and the complexity of corruption networks. Based on these insights, the research provides policy recommendations for designing and implementing effective anti-corruption measures, emphasizing the importance of tailored approaches that consider local contexts. This study contributes to the broader discourse on governance and corruption, offering practical guidance for policymakers and practitioners aiming to strengthen institutional integrity and reduce corruption.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of black campaigns conducted by the successful team of presidential candidate pairs on the behavior of novice voters at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) UPN Veteran Jakarta in the 2024 Election. The research method used is a quantitative descriptive survey, utilizing a questionnaire distributed to FISIP UPN Veteran Jakarta students who are first-time voters. Data analysis techniques include descriptive tests and simple linear regression tests to determine the relationship between black campaigns and the behavior of first-time voters. The results showed that black campaigns significantly influenced the perceptions and decisions of first-time voters, as evidenced by a simple linear regression test with a regression coefficient of 0.564. This research supports the theory that negative information spread through campaigns can influence opinions and voting behavior, especially among first-time voters. It indicates that an increase in the intensity of black campaigns correlates with an increase in the responsiveness of first-time voters to negative information. Therefore, this research contributes significantly to understanding the dynamics of black campaign influence on first-time voters and emphasizes the importance of political literacy and critical awareness among voters to mitigate the negative impacts of black campaigns.

Abstract

Leprosy, caused by Mycobacterium leprae, in 2016, Indonesia reported 16,826 new leprosy cases, with a prevalence rate of 0.71 per 10,000 individuals and a new case detection rate of 6.5 per 10,000 individuals. This study describes the result of a quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) in the nasal mucosa smear of a leprosy patient at the Dermatology and Venereology Polyclinic of Dr. M. Djamil Padang Hospital. This study adopts an observational approach with a width cut design, specifically employing a cross-sectional study methodology on leprosy patient at the Dermatology and Venereology Polyclinic of Dr. M. Djamil Padang Hospital, Indonesia between February 2023 until February 2024. The qRT-PCR quantity value of nasal mucous discharge is analyzed by a real-time PCR machine. The provided data presents characteristics of a sample population (N = 36) with leprosy. The majority of the leprosy-affected individuals in this study are between 8 and 68 years old, with a median age of 34. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) classification indicates that 83.33% of cases are multibacillary (MB). A combination RLEP/ qRT-PCR assay was developed to enable laboratory-based care and follow-up of leprosy patients attending our outpatient polyclinic in M. Djamil, Padang. The assay offers a sensitive and precise method for assessing the bacterial load and viability of M. leprae from nasal swab samples. It can be used for treatment response monitoring and early diagnosis.

This study was conducted on staff employees who are graduates of the Management Trainee program at Company Group X, with a sample size of 202 respondents, utilizing probability sampling techniques. The independent variables in this study include training (X1), career development (X2), and work-life balance (X3), while the mediating variable is work motivation (Z), and the dependent variable is organizational commitment (Y). The research data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Model-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method with Likert scale measurements. The hypothesis testing results indicate a positive and significant influence of training (X1), career development (X2), work-life balance (X3), and work motivation (Z) on organizational commitment (Y), as well as a positive and significant influence of training (X1), career development (X2), and work-life balance (X3) on work motivation (Z). The indirect influence hypothesis test shows that training (X1), career development (X2), and work-life balance (X3) have a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment (Y) mediated by work motivation (Z).
