Abstract

This article examines the competition between two giant companies in Indonesia's application-based service industry, Go-Jek and Grab. This competition goes beyond just a business battle; It represents a conflict between the traditional and sharing economies that use digital technology to connect service providers with users directly. This theme is relevant in the context of the remarkable transformation of how business is conducted in the modern era. This article uses descriptive analysis methods to describe both companies' user growth, service variety, and customer satisfaction. Through case studies and content analysis, this article identifies critical themes such as technological innovation, marketing strategy, and regulatory challenges Go-Jek and Grab face. The results of the analysis show that these two companies facilitate people's daily lives and inspire innovation in the digital economy. This research provides deep insight into competition dynamics in the application-based service industry and its impact on Indonesian society and economy

Abstract

In this study, researchers made a study entitled "Online Shopping Intentions Of Tiktokshop Consumers: The Influence Of Consumer Privacy On Shopping Enjoyment In E-Commerce". The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between consumer privacy and shopping satisfaction in TikTokshop E-Commerce Study in Department Management of Universitas Simalungun. This study shows that the shopping_enjoyment (X1) and consumer_privacy (X2) variable can explain its effect on the Enjoyment (Y) variable by 71.6%. The F test show that both variable (shopping_enjoyment, consumer_privacy) can effect simultan to the online_shopping_intention. The T-test show that both of variable have value of 0.00. it means that the shopping_enjoyment (X1) and consumer_privacy (X2) have a significant effect to the online_shopping_intention in tiktok shop

Abstract

In the Traveloka e-commerce application, airplane transportation ticket prices often change greatly, which makes customers confused and dissatisfied. The purpose of this study is to find and analyze the main factors that cause unstable airfares at Traveloka. Descriptive and qualitative analysis were used to analyze this data. In addition, multiple regression analysis was conducted using the SPSS 25 computer program. The results of this study are expected to be a motivation for Traveloka to implement a more fair and open pricing system, not raising prices too high and significantly because customers also want prices that match the facilities they receive. In addition, it is hoped that the results of this study can encourage further research on pricing practices in the digital era. This will help make better policies and regulations to protect consumers in the digital era.

Abstract

Telos Coffee is a coffee shop located in Gunungsitoli City, offering a variety of coffee blends and preparations that attract consumers and coffee enthusiasts. It has become a favorite spot for young people to gather, socialize, or work on office and university assignments. The purpose of this research is to understand the entrepreneurial spirit implementation by the owner of Telos Coffee in running the coffee shop business, the effective implementation of innovative practices by the owner, and the strategies employed by Telos Coffee to succeed in the coffee shop business in Gunungsitoli. This qualitative research adopts a case study approach, utilizing three variables and involving three informants. The findings reveal that Telos Coffee's entrepreneurial spirit is evident through increased customer numbers, diverse coffee bean and menu offerings, improved facilities, and a strategic location selection. The innovation implemented by Telos Coffee includes offering unique products, such as various coffee types from different regions of Indonesia, a focus on in-house coffee blends crafted by Telos Coffee's baristas, affordable pricing, actualizing a representative location, and enhancing supporting facilities and infrastructure. The success of Telos Coffee is attributed to various promotional programs on social media, effective communication with peers and organizations, and the establishment of a positive image among customers, positioning Telos Coffee favorably in the eyes of its clientele.

Abstract

This study examines the vital role of training programs in enhancing the performance of village officials, with a focus on Bawodesolo Village in Gunungsitoli Idanoi District, Gunungsitoli City. Grounded in Law No. 6 of 2014 concerning Villages, emphasizing citizen participation, particularly through the Village Consultative Body (BPD), the research explores training's impact on village officials' performance. Despite challenges like budget constraints and limited resources, strategic planning and government support can improve training effectiveness. Through qualitative methods, the study highlights the need for curriculum development, qualified instructors, and community involvement. Through a qualitative approach, including interviews, documentation, and observation, this study elucidates the complexities surrounding the implementation and impact of training programs. It underscores the need for strategic planning, curriculum development, qualified instructors, and ongoing evaluation to maximize the benefits of training. Furthermore, the study highlights the importance of community participation, transparency, and accountability in ensuring the success of training initiatives. Findings affirm the significant contribution of training programs to public services, decision-making, and community development. Overcoming obstacles and enhancing support mechanisms make training a valuable investment in governance and service delivery at the village level.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze working capital turnover, company size, and profitability at PT Maxis Paragon in Gunungsitoli City from 2019 to 2022. It's a descriptive study using secondary data, focusing on the company's financial reports. The findings indicate a healthy working capital turnover, exceeding the standard of >1 time. PT Maxis Paragon falls into the medium-sized enterprise category, with net worth ranging from Rp. 500 million to Rp. 10 billion and annual sales from Rp. 2.5 billion to Rp. 50 billion. However, profitability, measured by Return on Assets (ROA), shows substandard performance (<5.98%). Return on Equity (ROE) was below standard (<8.32%) for 2019-2020 but improved above standard for 2021-2022. Net Profit Margin (NPM) also indicates below-standard performance (<3.92%). These results suggest areas for improvement in profitability despite healthy working capital turnover and medium-sized enterprise status.

Abstract

This research is motivated by business developments which require every entrepreneur to combine marketing mix functions so that the company's business can run smoothly. Many argue that marketing should play an important role in determining the direction of a company's concept and strategy. This research aims to determine the marketing mix strategy in an effort to increase drug sales in healthy pharmacies in Gunungsitoli City. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach with the research object being a healthy pharmacy in Gunungsitoli City. Data sources were taken from documentation, interview results and observation results. In this research, interviews with various questions about the research topic were conducted directly. The results of this research show that the healthy pharmacy in Gunungsitoli City has implemented the 7p marketing mix strategy in its business which has been running but is still not optimal/deficient and this has resulted in a decline in sales due to lack of promotion and increasingly tighter competition. Therefore, implementing the marketing mix strategy is able to increase sales volume.

Abstract

The study investigates the application of the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method in managing raw material inventory at Geulis Bakery Store in Gunungsitoli City. Utilizing a quantitative descriptive approach, the study aims to provide insights into inventory management practices, particularly focusing on the EOQ method's effectiveness. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and document analysis, with the research population consisting of raw material inventories at the bakery. Findings revealed that the EOQ method led to smaller but more cost-effective raw material orders compared to the previous ordering policy. Moreover, the EOQ method enabled the optimization of safety stock levels, reducing the risk of stockouts while minimizing inventory holding costs. The study highlights the enhanced efficiency achieved in inventory control through the EOQ method, emphasizing its potential to streamline operations and improve financial performance for small-scale enterprises like Geulis Bakery Store. Future research could explore the EOQ method's applicability in different industry contexts and evaluate its comparative effectiveness against other inventory management techniques. Overall, the study underscores the significance of adopting efficient inventory control strategies to enhance business competitiveness and sustainability in today's dynamic market environment.

Abstract

Several problematic phenomena have occurred at the Ilir Village Office, Gunungsitoli Sub-district, Gunungsitoli City, including the emergence of new regulations in managing the organization, which has led to employee resistance, such as changes in office hours. Additionally, the introduction of new innovations or systems in managing and executing office duties and responsibilities, as well as the implementation of new technologies intended to facilitate task execution, have also contributed to resistance. This study aims to identify the factors causing resistance within the organization at the Ilir Village Office, Gunungsitoli Sub-district, Gunungsitoli City, and to determine the efforts made to overcome this resistance. This research is qualitative in nature, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The informants in this study consist of five employees from the Ilir Village Office, selected using purposive sampling. The results of the study indicate that several factors cause resistance within the organization at the Ilir Village Office. These factors include uncertainty about changes, dissatisfaction with changes, ineffective communication, concerns about job impacts, and worries about changes in compensation. Additionally, the study identifies various efforts that can be made to address this resistance.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how mining impacts people who work as sand lifters. This research was conducted in Sunju Village. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research. Data collection techniques were done through observation, interviews, and documentation from sand lifting workers, village communities, and the Sunju Village government. The source of this research data is primary data. The results of the research show that sand miners have a positive impact on the income of sand lift workers. Along with the increasing number of orders for sand utilization from various regions, the number of orders and trucks that come in benefits miners who work as laborers, giving miners an excellent opportunity to improve the economy. The income obtained by the owner of the sand suction machine for one car truck is Rp. 130,000. The lifting workers employed by the machine owner are three to four people for each truck. The income of lifting workers every day is Rp75,000. The calculation for the monthly income of sand lifters is Rp2,250,000. The sand mine in Sunju Village also has a lot of impact on the environment and health.
