Abstract

This study aims to explore strategies for strengthening students' digital literacy through contextual learning in Pancasila Education at SMKN 4 Kendal, by describing strategies and identifying related obstacles and solutions. The method used is qualitative with a case study approach, relying on interviews with eight grade XI Culinary 1 students and one Pancasila Education teacher, as well as documentation and observation. Data validity is tested through triangulation, and data analysis involves collecting, condensing, presenting, and inferring data. The results showed that digital literacy can be strengthened through contextual learning with three main steps: strategy design, application of learning, as well as overcoming obstacles and finding solutions. Barriers for students are divided into in-class (such as lack of quota, inactive members, and drowsiness) and outside the classroom (lack of discipline, long distances, and bad weather). Barriers for teachers include long module preparation, lack of student focus, and difficulties in exploratory mentoring. In-class solutions include buying quota before school, approaching less-active friends, and going to bed early. Solutions outside the classroom include making time agreements, determining gathering points, and monitoring the weather. For teachers, the solution is to discuss with colleagues, provide ice breaking, and accompany via WhatsApp groups.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the current business model of PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia (Food Division), analyze internal and external business environmental factors affecting it, and design a new business model to adapt to the competition in the processed chicken industry in Indonesia. This study uses nonprobability sampling method with purposive sampling technique to select respondents, selected based on special expertise and knowledge in the field studied. This research uses data processing and analysis techniques involving mapping the company's business model into 9 elements of the business model canvas (BMC) and formulate adaptation strategies and develop new business models with a blue ocean strategy perspective through a framework of four actions: elimination, subtraction, improvement, and addition. The SWOT analysis revealed that CP FOOD's strengths lie in its value proposition, while weaknesses are in its marketing activities. The research will provide input and advice for future strategies and serve as a reference for academics to develop strategies for increasing competitiveness in the processing chicken industry.

Abstract

The reform of the death penalty into an alternative crime in the new Criminal Code (Law Number 1 of 2023 pertaining to the Criminal Code) is a long-standing agenda that has been launched by the Indonesian Government. This paper aims to analyze how Indonesian criminal law is currently enforced to determine how it will be implemented in the future. This research focuses on the politics of criminal law and basic freedoms regarding the reform of capital punishment into an alternate crime in Law No. 1 of the Republic of Indonesia (KUHP) 2023. The study is based on literature studies and documentation. The results of this study show that, despite the fact that KUHP is primarily intended to protect society, its application should be cautious and targeted at the offender; consequently, it must be selective, and there should be provisions for conditional death sentences or delaying the execution of the penalty.

Abstract

The prerogative of the President in appointing a minister is defined by the 1945 Constitution. The research uses an empirical legal approach method to analyze the practical implications and real-world applications of constitutional provisions, examining the political and legal impacts of these appointments, and exploring the broader socio-political context of such decisions within the framework of Indonesia's evolving political landscape under President Joko Widodo's administration. This paper focuses on the theoretical and practical implications of the 1945 constitution and the concept of a legal state as the law that serves as the foundation of governance and must be complied with in exercising power, bridges the gap between despotic absolutism and the advanced development of constitutionalism, thus leading to the formation of constitutional law.

Abstract

Hemorrhagic stroke is caused by rupture of blood vessels in the brain, which causes blood to leak into the brain tissue. As a result, the oxygen supply to brain cells is disrupted because blood cannot flow through the ruptured blood vessels. There are two main options for treating hemorrhagic stroke, namely surgical therapy and conservative therapy. The aim of this study was to compare the results of surgical therapy and conservative therapy in hemorrhagic stroke patients at RSUD Dr. Chasbulah Abdul Majid Bekasi City during the period January to December 2022. The type of research used by researchers is retrospective descriptive research. Data were collected from medical records of patients who had undergone surgical therapy and conservative therapy for hemorrhagic stroke. The statistical analysis used is descriptive statistics using frequency analysis. Research findings showed that more patients showed improved prognosis after using conservative therapy, with a percentage reaching 85.5%. Meanwhile, for patients who underwent operative therapy, the percentage of improvement in prognosis was 65.4%. It can be concluded that the percentage of improvement in patient prognosis after receiving conservative therapy is higher than those receiving operative therapy.

Abstract

The provision of restitution to victims of criminal acts is considered not optimal in its implementation with various problems such as from the regulatory aspect and at the level of implementing relevant stakeholders in the implementation of prosecutions. The results of this study will be presented by describing the data obtained through literature studies analyzed by quantitative methods. The study shows that there is a need for an arrangement that contains a substitute crime if the defendant or convicted person is not able to pay a replacement crime as a norm that becomes the legal basis for public prosecutors and judges in prosecuting and deciding cases. The problem arises due to the lack of comprehensive regulations regarding criminal charges in lieu of the payment of compensation, the non-regulation of criminal substitutes for the payment, and the nonregulation of the amount of the criminal substitute. The ideal arrangement in a criminal prosecution that is carried out comprehensively and correctly by the relevant parties is expected to provide legal certainty, justice, and expediency.

Abstract

Financial performance as a basic aspect of a company's valuation can affect operational performance. This can be seen based on investor responses through stock price volatility. However, apart from healthy financial performance, investors' considerations in providing their funding can come from non-financial aspects, such as the implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practices as high standards for companies in paying attention to transparency, accountability, and stakeholder involvement in decision-making. The research aims to determine the linkage of the influence of financial performance on value through good corporate governance and corporate social responsibility as moderation. This collection uses a quantitative method by taking samples through purposive sampling. The object of this research is a company listed on IDX ENERGI from the IDX in 2020-2022. The data analysis technique used Regression Data Panel with Eviews 12. Based on the results of policy research, financial performance has a significant effect on the company's value. The Good Corporate Governance (GCG) variable cannot moderate the influence of financial performance on the company's value. The moderation variable Corporate Social Responsibility moderates the influence of financial performance on company value. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) effectively contributes to strengthening the improvement of financial performance against the company's value. The implementation of effective CSR practices can yield long-term benefits, including reduced legal risks, improved corporate reputation, and improved operational performance.

Abstract

Land ownership affects power structures and power relations in societies because it determines who has access to natural resources and available economic wealth. Land ownership is also a determinant of a person's social and political status, as well as the basis for access to public services such as education and health. This study aims to explore the perspective of progressive law on legal certainty of land ownership in Genteng Village as well as the view of behavioral economic theory to understand the habits of the people of Genteng Village in buying and selling land. The research method used is empirical juridical with a case study approach in the form of land buying and selling habits in Genteng Village without positive legal formalities. Data were collected through structured interviews with local stakeholders related to the problem studied. The results of the study show that the practice of land ownership in Genteng Village is often based on proof of sale and purchase such as sales and purchase receipts, without a positive legal process such as adequate certification or name change. The behavioral economic theory sees that the habits of the people of Genteng Village are only temporary and inconsistent in nature so that they can change in the future. The perspective of progressive law that emphasizes more on the aspect of justice views that the existing legal certainty must contain formal aspects and substantial aspects.
