Abstract

Road damage on the Maja-Sukahaji route, exacerbated by overloaded vehicles, compromises safety and pavement longevity. This study evaluates flexible pavement conditions using the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) and recommends cost-effective treatments. Visual surveys and PCI assessments were conducted across 10 segments (100 m each), analyzing damage types, severity, density, and deduct values. Treatments were prioritized using Bina Marga guidelines, and costs were calculated via the Majalengka AHSP. Segments 6 and 7 were in poor condition (PCI 51–54), while segment 10 failed (PCI 1). Recommended interventions included patching (P5), paving (P2), and leveling (P6), with a total budget of Rp. 142,381,914.12. The study offers a replicable framework for localized road maintenance, combining PCI analysis with budgetary precision, and underscores the need for proactive repairs to prevent further deterioration. Future research should explore predictive maintenance models and alternative materials (Fadillah et al., 2024; Mutoharoh et al., 2022).

Abstract

Outsourcing has become a strategic approach for companies to focus on core business activities by transferring workforce management to specialized providers. In Indonesia, the outsourcing industry is rapidly growing, driven by cost efficiency and operational flexibility. PT XYZ, a subsidiary under PT PNM Venture Capital, manages outsourced employees to support PT PNM’s business operations. However, PT XYZ faces challenges such as unmet employee fulfillment targets, high turnover rates, and reliance on a single main customer, which affect its operational performance. This study aims to analyze these internal and external challenges and formulate effective business development strategies for PT XYZ. Using a mixed-method approach including in-depth interviews, questionnaires, and literature review conducted between October 2024 and January 2025, data were collected from management, employees, shareholders, and customers. The study applies SWOT analysis and prioritizes strategies using Fuzzy AHP. Results indicate that human resource capacity and regulatory environment are critical factors for success. Ten strategic alternatives were identified, with market expansion outside the PNM Group emerging as the highest priority, followed by increasing outsourced workforce numbers and enhancing employee retention. The study concludes that optimizing workforce management, embracing technological innovation, and diversifying market reach are essential to PT XYZ’s sustainable growth and competitiveness in Indonesia’s dynamic outsourcing industry.

Abstract

Sustainable waste management is an important challenge in facing the energy and environmental crisis. One of the solutions that has begun to be developed is the use of biodrying technology, which is the process of drying organic waste using biological activity and aeration to reduce moisture content and increase the calorific value. This study aims to examine the potential of waste biodrying products as an alternative fuel in the cofiring process at the Labuhan Angin Steam Power Plant (PLTU). The methodology used includes the analysis of biodrying product characteristics, measurement of calorific values, as well as technical and environmental feasibility studies in cofiring applications. The results show that biodrying products have a calorific value that is competitive enough to be used as a partial substitute for coal, and can reduce carbon emissions and environmental burden. The implementation of cofiring with waste biodrying has the potential to contribute to the clean energy transition and reduce the volume of waste disposed of in landfills.

Abstract

This tool aims to reduce the impact of dirt arising from the finishing work of a building. The tool consists of two main parts: the dolak (mixing tub), which serves as a place to prepare the mixture, and the washing box (or washing tub), which is used for cleaning work equipment. By combining these two functions into one tool, the scattering of plaster or paint mixture can be avoided. With the presence of a stirring tub and washing box for finishing work, the cleanliness of the surrounding road environment can be maintained during the project implementation period. Dirty asphalt settling work can be eliminated, thus saving project costs. The project site will remain cleaner compared to when using cement mix, as the stirring tub is directly connected to clean water and the sewer system. Additionally, the mixture used will be more economical, as less is wasted. The use of this tool should be included in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for finishing work to ensure that cleanliness in the project environment is consistently maintained.

Abstract

his study examines the influence of implementing a reward and punishment system on employee work motivation at PT XYZ, a mineral and metal smelter company located in South Halmahera Regency, North Maluku Province. The research uses a quantitative approach involving 255 respondents selected through stratified and systematic sampling from a population of 4,245 employees. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS. The results indicate that both reward and punishment significantly affect work motivation, with reward showing a stronger statistical influence. Reward mechanisms such as performance bonuses and recognition enhance employee engagement, while punishment, applied proportionally through warnings or sanctions, helps maintain discipline. Regression analysis reveals that the combined implementation of reward and punishment explains 37.8% of the variance in work motivation. These findings support Herzberg's Two-Factor Theory, suggesting that reward acts as a primary motivator, while punishment serves as a hygienic factor to prevent dissatisfaction. This study highlights the strategic role of a balanced reward and punishment system in shaping productive employee behavior and offers practical insights for similar industrial organizations seeking to enhance workforce motivation and performance.

Abstract

Sexual crimes are a serious and growing problem in Indonesia and have far-reaching implications, including abortion. Indonesia's abortion regulations have evolved, particularly in providing exceptions for victims of sexual crimes with certain gestational age limits. However, the implementation of this policy still faces challenges, such as complex administrative procedures, limited health care facilities, and social stigma. On the other hand, the government has implemented chemical castration as an effort to reduce the number of sexual crimes against children. This policy aims to reduce the sexual drive of offenders and prevent recidivism. However, its effectiveness is still debated, especially regarding medical aspects, ethics, and limited medical personnel in its implementation. This research uses a normative juridical approach with a literature study mOethod to analyze the applicable regulations as well as the challenges of implementing policies related to sexual crimes, abortion, and chemical castration in Indonesia. The results show that the existing regulations still have some weaknesses in implementation, especially in access to health services for victims of sexual violence and the effectiveness of chemical castration in reducing the number of sexual crimes. Therefore, a more comprehensive approach is needed, including improved abortion regulations, improved services for victims, and sexual education as a long- term prevention effort against sexual crimes.

Abstract

Yet, under the principle of social justice, victims of crimes—including corruption—are entitled to fair and sustainable recovery. This study aims to analyze the role of law in upholding social justice for victims of corruption by examining the available rehabilitation mechanisms within Indonesia’s legal framework. It also explores the regulatory limitations and challenges in implementing legal protection for corruption victims. This research employs a normative juridical method, utilizing both a statute approach and a conceptual approach. The statute approach involves an analysis of various regulations related to corruption and victim protection, For example, Law No. 13 of 2006 in connection with Law No. 31 of 2014 on the Protection of Witnesses and Victims, and Law No. 31 of 1999 in connection with Law No. 20 of 2001 on the Eradication of Corruption Crimes. In the meantime, the conceptual approach investigates social justice themes such as restitution that are connected to the restoration of the rights of victims of corruption, compensation, and rehabilitation as recognized in both national and international law. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the development of legal policies that are more victim-oriented and to strengthen the implementation of social justice within the criminal justice system. With effective legal mechanisms in place, it is hoped that the recovery of corruption victims can be optimized as part of a more comprehensive anti-corruption strategy.
