Abstract

SEAMEO Regional Center for Food and Nutrition (RECFON), is an organization of Southeast Asian Ministers of Education in the field of food and nutrition. The activities carried out by SEAMEO RECFON already have a fairly good system, but there are several problems SEAMEO RECFON actively conducts education, research, training, and community empowerment activities so the need for up-to-date information on food and nutrition topics and services and facilities support all these activities is very important. This important task must be supported by adequate facilities, including the procurement of data processing and communication devices capable of supporting RECFON's activities. For this reason, the author takes the title "Analysis and Design of the Target Achievement Database Information System System at SEAMEO RECFON " This SI / IT strategic planning is made using the Ward and Peppard framework with several analysis methods, namely value chain analysis, by mapping what are the main and supporter activities at SEAMEO RECFON and analyzing the problems of each activity. To see the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, a SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Thread) analysis is used. Factors that are successful and can solve problems and needs are used in CSFs (Critical Success Factors) analysis. McFarlan Strategic Grid analysis is used to map existing applications in DPPKA Kampar based on categories, namely support, Key Operational, Strategic, and High Potential. The results achieved through this analysis method are recommendations in the form of 19 information systems, 10 information technologies, and 4 SI and IT management. The information system and information technology are made in the form of a roadmap that will be implemented over the next 3 years by SEAMEO RECFON

Abstract

The Industrial Revolution 4.0 era created an environment known as VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity) as a result of rapid technological advances. VUCA impacts how people make decisions, plan, manage risk, drive change and solve problems in an increasingly information-hungry society. This change also requires leaders to think faster, process information in a short time, and have a clear vision. Higher education leaders need to provide good control to improve lecturer performance in preparing students for an increasingly complex world of work. Improving soft skills for students is a big challenge for university lecturers. Therefore, higher education leaders, such as at the Institut Sains dan Teknologi Terpadu Surabaya  (ISTTS), must develop a transformational leadership management system that supports lecturer motivation, both intrinsic and extrinsic, and encourages the sharing of tacit knowledge. This research uses quantitative methods by collecting data through face-to-face questionnaires. The results of the descriptive analysis show that the role of leadership, lecturer motivation, and tacit knowledge sharing have a significant effect on lecturer performance, which in turn influences the overall performance of the institution. This research also found that the role of transformational leadership does not directly influence lecturer performance but through the mediation of tacit knowledge sharing. Lecturer motivation, on the other hand, has a significant influence both directly and through tacit knowledge sharing. Tacit knowledge sharing also has a positive and significant impact on lecturer performance. These findings confirm that transformational leadership and lecturer motivation have an impact on lecturer performance through sharing tacit knowledge.

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding is giving only breast milk to babies, without other drinks food, or water, except for oral rehydration fluids, drops, or syrup containing vitamins, mineral supplements, or drugs recommended by health workers for medical reasons. Breast milk contains complete nutrition which is very good for growth and development and is easily digested by babies. Mothers who exclusively breastfeed find it easier and faster to lose weight to their pre-pregnancy state. As the gestational age increases, there is a progressive accumulation of maternal body fat. These fat reserves are a source of energy that will be used in the process of producing breast milk. By breastfeeding, the body will produce more breast milk so that fat deposits that function as energy reserves will be used. Thus shrinking fat deposits, the mother's weight will quickly return to its pre-pregnancy state. At present, postpartum weight gain is a separate problem for mothers because of frequent postpartum weight retention. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of exclusive breastfeeding on maternal weight in the postpartum period. A research design used in this study is the pretest-posttest control group design. This study used a group of mothers who exclusively breastfed and a group of mothers who did not exclusively breastfeed as a control group. Data on exclusive and non-exclusive breastfeeding were taken using a questionnaire, while the mother's weight immediately after delivery was taken from the mother's KMS or health worker documents. Calorie intake data was taken using the semi-SSQ questionnaire. While data on body weight in the range of 0-6 months, was taken by way of the researcher weighing directly using the same scales for each respondent. research results obtained Exclusive breastfeeding on mothers causing maternal weight loss in the first 6 months postpartum. Weight retention did not occur as in the non-exclusive breastfeeding group.

Abstract

A tubo-ovarian abscess (TOA) is one of the late complications of untreated Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) and can be life-threatening if the abscess ruptures and results in sepsis.1 It most commonly affects women of reproductive age and nearly 60% of women with TOA are nulliparous.2 The association between tubo-ovarian abscess formation and the presence of an intrauterine device (IUD) is well recognized. It has been suggested that the risk of upper genital tract infection is highest during the immediate period following the insertion of an IUD. We report a case of pelvic inflammatory disease in a 44-year-old woman using an intrauterine contraceptive device (IUD) for more than 5 years, who complained of lower abdominal pain and lumbar pain without fever, and also had a thick-white vaginal discharge. The clinical diagnosis was performed by anamnesis and ultrasound (we found an hypo- hyperechoic mass on the right adnexa size 4.4 x 3.6 x 4.0 cm) and then the patient was treated with triple antibiotics for 3 days. Afterward, the patient was performed using exploring laparoscopy to continue to right salpingo-oophorectomy adhesiolysis left tubectomy, and IUD removal as well. Long-term users of IUDs remain at risk for serious pelvic infections. Every IUD user's patient should be routinely counseled by their gynecologist and tubo-ovarian abscess should be strongly considered in the differential diagnosis of an IUD user who presents with an adnexal mass, abdominal pain, and lumbar pain. The treatment must be a combination of antibiotics and surgery.

This research is a qualitative descriptive research with data collection methods through interviews and observations while the informants are government officials and people who do business in the area and visitors. The focus of the research is the economic impact in the form of community income, employment opportunities, and government income (PAD). The research results show that the income earned by people who do business in the area every day is still low. There are job opportunities for the community by opening businesses in the area but these business opportunities have not been utilized properly and there is income generated for the government in the form of levies but this has not yet met the target. This is due to the low number of visitors visiting Lasiana Beach.

Abstract

Domestic violence is a distressing criminal offense that can result in severe legal repercussions, including imprisonment, as well as profound and lasting effects on its victims. This pervasive issue often involves one family member inflicting harm on another within the confines of their own home. Discussing domestic violence is no longer a societal taboo, as awareness has grown about the importance of addressing and preventing such cases. The motives behind domestic violence are complex, stemming from issues like relationship disharmony, financial strain, poor communication, and more. These underlying factors can trigger a range of abusive behaviors, leading to physical, emotional, and psychological harm for the victims. These abuses can manifest directly or indirectly, through threats, manipulation, or physical violence. The consequences of domestic violence are not limited to the short term; they can have enduring effects on the victims' lives. Physically, victims can sustain injuries that may require medical attention, while the emotional and psychological scars can linger, affecting self-esteem, mental health, and overall well-being. It is crucial to address this issue through legal means, support, and education to break the cycle of domestic violence and protect its victims.
