Abstract

Talking about Jihad is a natural thing in modern times, because jihad has always been a constant debate, never ending and has given birth to many scientific works. And jihad is a very unique and interesting theme to research and study. The purpose of this studying to find out more deeply what the meaning of jihad put forward by Hamka in the book of Tafsir Al-Azhar and to find out how jihad is physical and mental according to Hamka in Tafsir Al-Azhar. The method in this research is library research, namely by using the maudhu'i interpretation method (thematic interpretation), which is a discussion of the verses of the Qur'an in accordance with the themes and titles that have been set. The things that are done in this research to identify the verses of the Qur'an that are related to jihad. And only examined one Modern Mufassir, namely Hamka's essay in his book Tafsir Al-Azhar. According to Hamka Jihad is: fighting, sincerity and activities that are driven by the heart with a sincere and sincere feeling, doing amar ma'ruf, nahi munkar, preaching, educating, and nurturing people to religious awareness. As for physical jihad, it is war if ordered by the authorities in a country. While non-physical Jihad is all good deeds that are positive for religion.

Abstract

In this study, the researcher took the title "Al-Qur’an and Identity: Exploring the Meaning of Hijrah as a Millennial Muslim Identity Through Interpretation." The method used is contextual interpretation, initiated by Abdullah Saeed. This research concludes that the term "hijrah" has undergone a shift in meaning, namely that what was originally a territorial transfer has now become individual piety and is used as a person's Islamic identity, which is marked by a distinctive style of dress in the style of syar'i, lifestyle, and even style of speech. The term hijrah is interpreted as a change in all aspects of life by adopting the values contained in past hijrah events, namely changes towards a stronger faith and changes in social, national, and state structures. In the Indonesian millennial context, hijrah becomes the identity of a true Muslim. This is an opportunity as well as a challenge for Muslims today. The challenge is that the measure of one's Islam is only seen in its outward aspect or appearance. Meanwhile, Islam also places great emphasis on aspects of universal and substantial values in every dimension of its teachings.

Abstract

Kitab al-Tibyan fi Tafsir Ayat al-Ahkam min al-Qur'an by K.H. Achmad Nasrullah Abdurrochim added to the treasures of books of interpretation of Ahkam by Nusantara scholars whose existence was still minimal. This book was written when Nasrullah encountered many cases when he was a judge at the Jombang District Court. In addition, he is also a kiyai who actively takes care of the pesantren in Tambakberas, Jombang. It is interesting to examine whether the book of interpretation produced by combining two backgrounds, namely kiyai pesantren and legal practitioners in religious courts, does it produce a more contextual pattern of ahkam interpretation and provides answers to socio-religious problems that are practically faced in society. The epistemology of interpretation is the main study in this article to find out how the sources, methods, approaches, procedures and validity of interpretation are. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis using the book al-Tibyan fi Tafsir Ayat al-Ahkam min al-Qur'an as the primary source. Meanwhile, to test the validity of using the theory of coherence, correspondence and pragmatism. Finally, this article shows that Nasrulloh in his interpretation prefers historical sources over his own opinion. The method he uses is maudhu'i which is dominant in discussing the theme of marriage. The procedure for his interpretation first explains the vocabulary of the verse, then the asbabul nuzul, then he interprets the verse with a question and answer model, then ends with a conclusion. As for the validity, all aspects of validity theory are applied in its interpretation.

Abstract

Isa as is a prophet sent by Allah, who is included in the category of prophet ulul azmi among other prophets. He invited his people, the Children of Israel, to worship Allah and was accompanied by his close friends, namely hawariyyun. this friend always helps preach Isa wherever he is when he is sad and happy, there are many interpretations that clarify who hawariyyun is, one of which is the interpretation of ath-thabari which says that hawariyyun is a friend of the dean Isa as. This article uses Library Research research by prioritizing in-depth analysis of various journals, books or literature related to research. The Qur'an does not provide detailed information about hawariyyun, but many interpretations explain who hawariyyun is, one of which is the interpretation of ath-thabari which says that hawariyyun is a friend of Isa's dean who always wears all white clothes, is also a laundress, and fish seekers, so that hawariyyun are the chosen people chosen by the prophet Isa to help his preaching to his people.

Abstract

Gus Dur or Abdurahman Wahid is a national figure who is often referred to as the father of Pluralism due to his open attitude towards the existence of other religions in his life's journey, especially when he led as President. This paper provides an explanation of Gus Dur's views on nationalism and religious life in Indonesia. The research method used is a qualitative research method. The conclusion of this paper is that in the view of "Gus Dur", the image of nationalism is embodied in the values of Pancasila. Pancasila for Gus Dur is a series of principles that are sustainable. He considers that basically Pancasila contains good ideas about living as a nation and also religion which is absolutely to be fought for. In the life of the nation as well as the state, "Gus Dur" shows respect for the choice of religion and beliefs of other people as a reality or the principle of freedom of religion and belief in accordance with what is stated in the first part of the Pancasila. In relations with other religions, Abdurrahman often took off his religious attire or religious formalism, but he remained in his substantive religious world.Gus Dur atau Abdurahman Wahid merupakan seorang tokoh nasional yang sering disebut sebagai bapak Pluralisme akibat sikapnya yang terbuka terhadap keberadaan agama lain dalam perjalanan hidupnya secara khusus pada saat ia memipin sebagai seorang Presiden. Tulisan ini memberikan sebuah penjelasan mengenai pandangan Gus Dur terhadap nasionalisme dan kehidupan beragama di Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah metode penelitian kualitatif. Kesimpulan dari tulisan ini adalah dalam pandangan ”Gus Dur”, gambaran nasionalisme itu terwujud dalam nilai-nilai Pancasila. Pancasila bagi Gus Dur merupakan serangkaian prinsip-prinsip yang bersifat lestari. Ia menganggap bahwa pada dasarnya Pancasila memuat ide yang baik mengenai hidup bernegara dan juga beragama yang mutlak untuk diperjuangkan. Dalam kehidupan berbangsa dan juga bernegara, “Gus Dur” menunjukkan sikap menghormati terhadap pilihan agama dan keyakinan orang lain sebagai suatu kenyataan ataupun prinsip kebebasan dalam beragama dan berkeyakinan sesuai dengan yang tercantum dalam bagian pertama Pancasila. Di dalam relasi dengan agama lain, Gus Dur sering melepas baju agamanya atau formalisme agamanya, akan tetapi iatetapi tetap berada di dalam dunia keberagamaannya yang substantif.

Abstract

The study of interpretation is a study that is very important to study, in general the study of interpretation uses Arabic which gives rise to the characteristics of Islam, but nowadays there are various interpretations, one of which is the Interpretation of the Archipelago. In the study of Interpretation of the Archipelago this is something that needs to be examined because in general not all people understand Arabic. In this discussion using library research methods (library research), namely research that examines and seeks information and data which as a whole comes from written language that is relevant to what is being studied. The results of the research are as follows: First, the book of tafsir al-Iklil Fi Ma'ani al-Tanzil has three localities namely 1). Locality in appearance using the Arabic script pegon and the meaning of gandul, 2). Locality in communication, 3). Locality in interpretation is criticizing local traditions and translations. Second, the textuality of the application of the interpretation of al-Iklil Fi Ma'ani al-Tanzil. Third, Tafsir al-Iklil Fi Ma'ani al-Tanzil as an object of study for traditional Javanese society.

Abstract

This article aims to explain about "takhrij hadith" which includes meaning, history, purpose, benefits and methods. From the relevant references it is known that "takhrij hadith" is an attempt to find "matan" and "sanad" hadith, completely from the original reference. It is clear that even the quality of hadith is known to collectors directly through research. The advantages of takhrij hadith are: (a) collecting various "sanad" hadiths; (b) collecting various "matan" hadiths. They are an important material for research. To carry out takhrij hadith, several methods can be used. (1) takhrij hadith based on the first pronunciation of the hadith matan, (2) takhrij based on the pronunciation contained in the hadith matan, (3) takhrij based on the a'la narrator of the sanad hadith (4) takhrij hadith based on the main theme of the hadith. (5) Takhrij hadith based on the form of hadith. Apart from carrying it out manually, takhrij hadith can use technology such as using the maktabah syamilah software on a computer.

Abstract

Intolerance in the name of religion is still common in this country. Excessive religious fanaticism and lack of religious knowledge are among the contributing factors. Likewise, politics wrapped in religion is still often done by some politicians, which in turn causes rifts between nations. Therefore this article will discuss the harmonization of religious communities in multi-religious and ethnic countries in the perspective of the Koran by using interdisciplinary thematic interpretation methods. The results of the study concluded that the differences in religion and ethnicity were sunnatullah. In building harmony among religious communities, the Koran encourages fair and good relations between religious communities, makes friends, does not berate each other, does not impose certain religions, carry out the teachings of each other's religion and does not interfere with other people's religions.

Abstract

Studying leadership, especially Islamic leadership is an interesting subject because good leadership will lead to a good social order. In Indonesia, where Muslims make up the majority of the population, incorporating democracy into Islamic teachings has always been a challenge. The inequality of women in social status is proof of this. Since ancient times, Islam has indeed abolished various types of segregation between humans, giving privileges to women as freedom is given to men. This is a matter of Islamic leadership because Islam has given women the same rights as men. This includes the administration of Islam because Islam has given women the privileges that were given to men and furthermore made commitments to women as provided to men, with the exception of the freedoms or commitments that Islam expects of men. In this way, we must balance the freedom and commitment of female pioneers with those of men as indicated by the passages in the Qur’an, hadith and ijma’ on human relations.

Abstract

Hadith is one of the second sources of Islamic law after the Qor’an, where if there is a case that is not clear in the Koran, the hadith is the explanation. The existence of hadith among the general public is so important at this time, this is due to the lack of public understanding with the generality of the Koran. However, the dissemination of hadith now takes place without any filtering, where hadiths are useful for themselves and their group, so they are used, just like the hadith of maudhu'. Actually this is very unfortunate, because many hadiths that should be the reference of the people from the Prophet have been falsified. These maudhu' hadith are not only spread among the people, in fact many of them believe in these maudhu' hadith and practice them. maudhu' ittu is a lie that is deliberately based on the Prophet.
