Abstract

In the current era, the advent of digital media has significantly altered how individuals establish connections and seek sources of inspiration. Inside this context, a noteworthy avenue arises known as "Golden Inspirations," which harnesses the power of motivational videos to skillfully construct a framework of optimism and personal growth in the lives of older adults. The objective of this study was to examine the relationship between life satisfaction and psychological wellness, as well as the influence of motivational movies on these variables. This study was done on 82 senior citizens of the Al Azhar Garden Society. A survey was conducted through the life satisfaction scale and psychological well-being scale before and after the motivational video. The result for this study was a mean average of 21.40 before videos and 24.15 after videos for the life satisfaction scale. Similarly, the mean average was 0.84 before and 1.57 after the videos for psychological well-being. The determinants of life satisfaction among older individuals encompass various social, physical, mental, and financial dimensions. These factors are likely to interact with one another, particularly about experiences of loneliness, level of self-care ability, overall health status, feelings of distress, and inadequate financial resources relative to one's needs. To preserve the life pleasure of an individual, it is imperative to consider these many aspects.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between the perception of e-visa services and service quality towards the satisfaction of e-visa services with the intention of foreign tourists to revisit Batam. This research method employs a quantitative approach, targeting foreign tourists with a B211A visa index, with a sample size of 100 respondents. The sampling technique used in this research is Accidental Sampling. Data collection involved distributing questionnaires, conducting interviews with several respondents, and a literature review to complement supporting theories. The data was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS Student Version software. The results of this study indicate that (1) perception has a significant direct influence on tourist satisfaction, does not significantly impact the intention to revisit, and is partially mediated by the intention to return to Batam; (2) the quality of e-visa services has a significant direct influence on tourist satisfaction and the intention to revisit, yet is fully mediated by the intention to return to Batam; and (3) tourist satisfaction does not significantly influence the intention to return to Batam. This research contributes academically by providing an understanding of the effectiveness of implementing e-visa services in increasing visits by foreign tourists to Batam in the new normal era. It reinforces theories related to tourist satisfaction and intentions to revisit while enriching the body of knowledge in the field of tourism and immigration studies. Additionally, this study offers practical contributions by providing scientific research data to stakeholders and policymakers in the tourism sector.

Abstract

In today's electrical infrastructure, a significant portion continues to depend on the AC (alternating current) system, necessitating energy conversion from DC (direct current) to AC during power generation and vice versa when reaching consumers. Nonetheless, as renewable energy sources and DC-based electronic devices gain popularity, the DC electrical system presents an attractive alternative. This research compares the energy efficiency between AC and DC electrical systems in school buildings. Through literature review and energy analysis in school buildings, the study found that the DC electrical system is significantly more efficient, achieving an efficiency rate of 89%. In contrast, the AC system only reaches 84%. The implications of this research provide valuable insights for implementing more efficient and sustainable electrical systems in buildings in the future.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the assessment of digital image quality from 18 x 24 cm Imaging Plates of the ST (Standard) and HR (High-Resolution) types by engineering the dimensions on intraoral dental radiographic examinations so that we can determine the differences in image quality for each type of imaging. Plate Computed Radiography. The research method took the form of an experiment using the subjective quality assessment method of digital images in intraoral dental radiographic examinations using the object of patients who carried out the examination and brought a referral letter for 60 patients. Analyze image quality by measuring MSE (Mean et al.), PSNR (Peak Signal to Noise) and PIQE (Perception-based Image Quality Evaluator) score. The results of the research show that the analysis of differences in IP FCR ST and HR types with the Mann-Whitney Test shows the significance values of all digital images (< 0.05), namely: MSE (0.041), PSNR (0.041), PIQE score (0.012), meaning that there is a difference in digital image quality between IP FCR ST and HR, while with subjective analysis the respondents gave IP FCR HR results of 57.14% and IP FCR ST 42.86%. The difference in the results of the two types shows that IP FCR HR can be used as the main alternative in selecting IP FCR in intraoral dental radiographic examinations).

Abstract

This research aims to build a tourism service recommendation system by providing recommendations for tour guides and tourism destinations using machine learning recommendation system methods. The recommendation system method in this research uses the demographic filtering method to recommend tour guides using a model with three stages, namely filtering, scoring and sorting the tour guide data category. At the scoring stage, it is carried out using a decision-making system method using the Simple Additive Weighting method to weight the tour guide value with the weighting value of each criterion in the tour guide data. This research also applies a content-based filtering method using a model with two stages, namely training and recommendation. The training stage uses tf-idf weighting and the recommendation stage uses cosine similarity to recommend tourism spots based on the similarity of metadata for each item. In using the recommendation system, the data will focus on collecting tour guide data and data on tourist attractions selected by the user. This data will be processed by a recommendation system using demographic filtering and content-based filtering methods. Through the Simple Additive Weighting method in demographic filtering and tf-idf weighting with consistent similarity in content-based filtering, this research found personalized recommendation results so that the level of accuracy of the recommendation results becomes more personal and accurate. The results of this research provide a recommendation system for tourist guides and tourist attractions which is implemented into an Android-based mobile application that can be used to meet tourists' needs.
