Abstract

This study's objective is to analyze the cultural values and uniqueness of the form and structure of this dance as a representation of the identity of the Mandar community in the field of education. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive analytical research method. Data collection techniques include questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. We analyzed the data using qualitative analysis techniques. The results of the study indicate that the Pattuqduq Kumba Dance contains religious values, as seen from its role in traditional rituals that symbolize gratitude to God and respect for ancestors. The value of togetherness is reflected in the simultaneous movements of the dancers, which strengthen the spirit of mutual cooperation and social relations. In addition, the educational value in this dance functions as a medium for cultural education for the younger generation, teaching the preservation of tradition and understanding the symbolism of movement. The beauty of this dance lies in the harmony between movement, traditional music, and typical costumes that reflect the refinement of the art of the Mandar community. The structure of the dance, which is divided into three parts—opening, content, and closing—as well as the use of traditional properties such as fans and scarves, adds to the uniqueness and richness of its meaning. This study confirms that the Pattuqduq Kumba Dance is not only a performing art but also a symbol of life, local wisdom, and the close relationship between humans and nature, and it acts as a medium of education. This dance is an important medium for preserving culture and a means of strengthening the identity of the Mandar people amidst the challenges of modernization and is the basis for strengthening the curriculum, especially arts education.

Abstract

This study aims to document and analyze the form of woven fabric motifs produced in Sula'a Weaving Village, with the goal of contributing to the development of local culture-based art education. The study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with direct observation methods, in-depth interviews, and visual documentation. The analysis technique involves data reduction, data presentation in narrative and visualization forms, and drawing conclusions based on field findings. The study's findings show that geometric patterns and plant and animal patterns on woven fabrics have meanings that are related to tradition and social class. These meanings are aesthetic, educational, and symbolic. Motifs such as horizontal lines and checkered patterns reflect harmony, loyalty, responsibility, and relationships with nature. This research also found that traditional patterns have changed over time to use geometric ideas like shifting, mirroring, and rotation to make them look better without losing the original culture's features. It also suggests ways to bring back traditions by using these patterns in the creative and tourism industries. The study's findings show that woven fabrics should be kept as a cultural heritage and that people should value local cultural goods more, even as they become more modern. This can help with the growth of arts education that is based on local culture. In addition, the results of this study can be a medium for learning, local wisdom, and character building of students in schools.

Abstract

Increasing interest in something is basically helping students see how the material they are expected to learn relates to themselves as individuals. The use of audio-visual media with liquid crystal display is not used frequently, namely because the learning facilities and infrastructure are not yet complete; there is no liquid crystal display (LCD) in each class; therefore, teachers always develop creativity in using audio-visual learning media. The goal of this study was to determine students' interest in learning with audiovisual media (LCD) in the subject of PJOK. The descriptive quantitative nature of this study stems from its numerical focus and the use of statistical analysis for data management. The study was conducted in class 6 at MI Ma'arif NU Sekaran, totaling 17 students. The results of the study indicated that 13 students who like PJOK learning using audio-visual media (LCD) had a percentage of 76.5%, and only 4 students who do not like PJOK learning using audio-visual media (LCD) had a percentage of 23.5%. Therefore, we conclude that the use of audiovisual media, specifically liquid crystal displays, significantly influences students' interest in learning, particularly in PJOK subjects.

Abstract

Infrastructure development was one of the key components in the success of a nation's overall and educational growth, including the tourism sector. This study focuses on analyzing the economic and educational impact of developing the Center Point of Indonesia (CPI) area in Makassar City, South Sulawesi, which has become a prominent tourism destination. A mixed-methods approach with a concurrent triangulation design was employed to measure the direct, indirect, and induced economic and educational impacts of tourism activities within the CPI area. The findings indicated that the development of CPI had a significant economic impact on the surrounding community, including increased business revenues, job creation, and a reduction in poverty levels. Apart from that, the development of CPI as a multifunctional area is impacting education, especially community economic education. The Multiplier Effect analysis, using the Keynesian Income Multiplier method, revealed that every 1 rupiah of tourist expenditure generated a direct economic impact of 19,81 rupiah on the local economy. The Type I Income Multiplier Ratio of 1,062 reflected an increase in the incomes of business owners and workers, while the Type II Income Multiplier Ratio of 1,092 demonstrated its influence on local household consumption. This indicates that the impact of multifunctional infrastructure development has an impact on the economic education of society.
