Abstract

Sleep quality is a basic need that greatly affects children's cognitive functions, especially their concentration in learning. Sleep disturbances can cause fatigue, decreased attention, and difficulty in focusing during the learning process. This study aims to determine the relationship between sleep quality and children's concentration in learning at SMP Negeri 18 Kota Bengkulu in 2025. This study used a correlational analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study consisted of all 314 ninth-grade students at SMP Negeri 18 Kota Bengkulu, with a sample size of 76 respondents selected using the Slovin formula and proportional stratified random sampling technique. The research instruments used the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) to measure sleep quality and a learning concentration questionnaire. Data analysis was performed univariately and bivariately using the chi-square test with a significance level of α = 0.05. The results of the univariate test analysis showed that most respondents had poor sleep quality (60 or 78.9%), and a small number of respondents had poor learning concentration (18 or 23.7%). The results of the bivariate analysis show a significant relationship between sleep quality and learning concentration among students at SMP Negeri 18 Kota Bengkulu with a P value of 0.012. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant relationship between sleep quality and learning concentration among children. Therefore, it is hoped that the school can provide education on the importance of quality sleep, and students are expected to be able to apply healthy sleeping habits to support concentration and optimal learning processes.

highlights the need for innovation in nursery media based on locally available organic materials. This study aimed to analyze the effects of guano fertilizer and stalagmite sediment originating from Lawar Cave, Tangkahan, Langkat Regency, on the early growth of Arabica coffee seedlings (Coffea arabica L.). The research was conducted in Kutalimbaru District, Deli Serdang Regency, from May to July 2025 using a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with two factors: guano fertilizer (0, 50, 100, and 150 g/polybag) and stalagmite sediment (0, 20, 30, and 40 g/polybag), with three replications. The observed parameters included plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, and root length. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test at the 5% significance level. The results showed that the interaction between guano fertilizer and stalagmite sediment had significant to highly significant effects on plant height and number of leaves. Application of guano at 50 g/polybag increased plant height by 1.38%, while stalagmite sediment at 30 g/polybag increased plant height by up to 2.97%. The highest number of leaves was obtained with guano at 150 g/polybag, showing an increase of 5.15%. Root length was significantly affected by stalagmite sediment, with an increase of up to 6.03%, whereas leaf area showed no significant differences among treatments. It can be concluded that the combination of guano fertilizer and stalagmite sediment effectively enhances the early growth of Arabica coffee seedlings and has strong potential to support sustainable coffee nursery systems.Research purposes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of auxin concentration (Rootone-F) and liquid organic fertilizer (POC) from lamtoro leaves (Leucaena leucocephala) on the growth of robusta coffee seedlings (Coffea canephora). The study was conducted in March–May 2025 in Sampe Cita Village, Kutalimbaru District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra. The research method used a factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) with two factors, namely the concentration of lamtoro leaf POC (M0=0 ml, M1=200 ml, M2=250 ml, M3=300 ml) and the concentration of Rootone-F (A0=0 ml, A1=200 ml, A2=250 ml, A3=300 ml), with three replications. The parameters observed included plant height, leaf area, number of leaves, and root length. The results showed that the administration of lamtoro leaf POC and Rootone-F significantly affected plant height, leaf area, and number of leaves of robusta coffee seedlings. The best treatment was obtained with a combination of 300 ml of lamtoro leaf POC and 250 ml of Rootone-F which resulted in optimal vegetative growth. Increasing the concentration of Rootone-F tended to decrease root length due to the biphasic effect of auxin on root growth. It can be concluded that the use of lamtoro leaf POC and Rootone-F at the right dosage can significantly increase the growth of robusta coffee seedlings.

Abstract

This study examines the legal role of informed consent in high-risk dental medical procedures under Law Number 17 of 2023 on Health. Informed consent represents not only an ethical obligation but also a legal mechanism ensuring patient autonomy and professional accountability. Using a normative juridical method with statutory, conceptual, and case approaches, this research analyzes how the new legal framework strengthens patient protection and defines the professional responsibilities of dental practitioners. The findings indicate that despite the law’s explicit provisions particularly Articles 293 and 294 implementation remains constrained by limited legal literacy, ineffective communication, and insufficient documentation among practitioners. From the ethical perspective, informed consent reflects respect for autonomy, while legally it serves as preventive protection against malpractice claims. Therefore, enhancing professional understanding, integrating bioethics and health law in education, and ensuring standardized consent documentation are essential to achieving transparent, fair, and patient-centered dental services in Indonesia.
