Jurnal PUAN INDONESIA (Pengabdian Untuk Anak Negeri) Indonesia merupakan wadah untuk mempublikasikan hasil-hasil Pengabdian Masyarakat dari berbagai disiplin ilmu dalam bentuk Jurnal ilmiah dan Open Accessed System. Jurnal ini diterbitkan oleh Asosiasi Dosen Bahasa dan Sastra se Kepulauan Riau (Idebahasa Kepri). Artikel-artikel yang dipublikasikan di Jurnal Puan Indonesia meliputi hasil-hasil penelitian ilmiah asli, artikel ulasan ilmiah yang bersifat baru, atau komentar atau kritik terhadap tulisan yang ada dimuat di OJS system Jurnal Puan Indonesia maupun dalam terbitan berkala ilmiah lainnya. Jurnal Puan Indonesia menerima manuskrip atau naskah artikel dalam bidang riset terapan dan pengabdian masyarakat yang mencakup bidang keilmuan yang relevan dengan: sosial, kependidikan, sains, keolahragaan, bahasa, bisnis dan ekonomi dari berbagai kalangan akademisi dan peneliti baik nasional maupun internasional. Jurnal PUAN INDONESIA akan menerbitkan jurnal secara bilingual pada bulan Juli dan Januari setiap tahunya. JPI menerapkan kebijakan blind review dimana setiap tulisan yang masuk akan dikirimkan kepada mitra bestari yang terdaftar di JPI. Proses review dapat berlangsung maksimum sampai 30 (tiga puluh) hari kerja dengan alokasi waktu yang diberikan kepada tiap mitra bestari dalam menyelesaikan proses review nya adalah maksimum 14 (empat belas) hari kerja. Jika mitra bestari yang ditunjuk sebelumnya tidak mampu menyelesaikan pekerjaan review-nya dalam tenggat waktu yang ditentukan maka ketua dewan redaksi akan menunjuk mitra bestari pengganti untuk melakukan review tulisan yang dimaksud.

Abstract

This activity was aimed to improve English speaking skills by using debate methods to improve English language skills for students of the Law Study Program at the University of Riau Kepulauan. Mastering English skills and improving the quality of speaking in a foreign language were able to improve English speaking performance in handling legal cases involving foreigners in the jurisdiction of the Riau Islands province. The material used in English debates was very effective in improving Law Students' English skills. The results of the training showed an improving of the students of the Faculty of law’s' speaking abilities, understanding, knowledge and grades. Apart from that, the level of students' ability to understand to improve their abilities is very high. In conclusion, Debate requires students to argue, defend opinions and conclusions which require students to think before expressing their opinions. This certainly provides an opportunity for participants who are usually less active in learning activities in class to become active because they have to convey arguments or answer questions given by other groups to improve their language skills. these students increase. Apart from that, this training also received a high level of satisfaction from participants in terms of material, instructors, teaching methods. Overall, this training succeeded in providing positive results and met the participants' expectations in their preparation to improve their speaking skills using English.

Abstract

This research aims to explore what factors motivate students to learn English. Data collection was carried out through a qualitative descriptive approach with instruments in the form of observations, namely making observations during the research. Apart from that, interviews were used to find out other factors outside existing theories. Analyze data using analysis descriptive with interviews and observation of data that is reduced and presented. Results Research shows that as many as 50% choose teachers as motivational drivers in learning English in class and the rest choose to give rewards and punishments, give tests or exams and the last factor is goals or desires.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is entitled "The Importance of Classroom Interaction in Teaching Speaking skills at Second Grade SMA 6 Bengkulu" The purpose of this research is to analyze how the importance of classroom interaction in teaching speaking skills in class. The method used in this research is using qualitative method, by using direct observation method to students and teachers in the learning process. The subjects in this research are an English teacher and second grade students of SMAN 6 Bengkulu. The result of this research is, class interaction is very important in learning speaking in class especially in learning English. Because through class interaction, we can find out the ability of students and how to develop and foster students' confidence to speak and interact during the learning process. In this context, the teacher has an important role in supporting classroom interaction because the teacher is a motivator as well as a facilitator to develop students' abilities. When learning English, it is found that there are still many students who are not confident and choose to be silent, and there are also those who speak but still use the mother tongue as a whole word with the excuse of not knowing and afraid of being wrong, therefore it is advisable for teachers to provide encouragement, motivation and praise that builds students' confidence to speak, especially using English.

Abstract

Kata is a significant thing in karate, the aim of this service is to form the young generation of karate and become athletes who excel, especially KATA or karate moves and to form kohai-kohai performances in playing kata, especially kata hean sandan. Kata hean sandan is the third basic kata in karate and is usually played by karateka who hold a yellow to green belt. This kata is also competed in festival and open classes. Apart from that, practicing kata to form the kihon or basic movements of an athlete, when playing this kata you will see the perfect kihon form. Besides that, kata can train and improve a karateka's concentration. The theory used in this analysis is Nakayama's theory, (1979). The method used in this analysis is the direct field survey method. This method will observe the forms of movement carried out by kohai-kohai karate. This method will also act directly and revise movements that are deemed inappropriate. The result of this method is that the kohai's movements immediately change to a better shape.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises or commonly called MSMEs are on the rise and are one of the government programs, which is stated in the Job Creation Law No. 20 of 2008. Bojong Village, Pondok Terong is one of the many other villages in Indonesia where the majority of the population are MSME actors. One of them is Mr. Muhayar who carries out MSME activities by opening a Basic Food Shop at his home. However, behind the rise of MSME activities, there are limited knowledge and insights related to managerial in the preparation of financial statements faced by grocery store owners. Therefore, this study aims to explore the socialization process and the application of simple accounting-based bookkeeping where this research involves active participation and interviews of MSME actors, namely in Mr. Muhayar's basic food shop business. This is done to increase understanding of the importance of good financial records, as well as to understand how accounting implementation can improve the efficiency and sustainability of micro-enterprises. The results of this study show that this socialization can make a positive contribution to the financial management of MSME actors. In addition, the results show that the application of simple bookkeeping provides a better understanding of cash flow, stock of goods, and profitability.

Abstract

The reason why MSMEs do not develop easily is because the accounting records of these MSMEs are weak. One of the factors is that MSME owners do not think about financial management and recording issues. Registered Financial Management Institutions will be able to help manage finances well. Some MSMEs believe that without accounting, their business can run smoothly and make a profit. This makes finances unclear and there will be losses and makes it difficult for MSMEs to find out their business capital.

Abstract

This study evaluated the impact of bookkeeping assistance using the Randu Pos application on furniture SMEs in South Jakarta. The results noted improved efficiency in daily record-keeping and sales processes, as well as significant accuracy of financial data. The mentoring also successfully improved furniture stock management, reducing human error. Despite initial challenges, the SME owners experienced immediate benefits, while the trainees developed practical skills. Recommendations for further training were made based on the positive feedback. Overall, the mentoring contributed to the efficiency and accuracy of furniture SME bookkeeping in the digital age. Assistance in accounting bookkeeping practices using the Randu Pos application and furniture SME accounting can help improve efficiency and accuracy in the financial recording of furniture SMEs.

Abstract

Reading is one of fundamental skills that must be owned by the learners to master English language. In comprehending the content of the text, reading is a key to have it. However, to own good reading skill in English language is not an easy matter. There are several ways to be paid attention by the learners namely decoding knowledge, vocabularies and the use of grammar. In addition, reading does not only become one of English skills but broadly it is the real way to make the students more knowledgeable through the Report texts. This program involves three activities such as pre-reading activities, reading activities, and post-reading activities. The goals of this project are basically to encourage the learners for having reading habit, to increase the vocabularies and specifically to create students’ critical thinking. This project takes place in SMP Islam Plus Baitul Maal, Pondok Aren, Kota Tangerang Selatan.

Abstract

Perkembangan UMKM di Indonesia semakin meningkat di setiap tahunnya, didorong juga dengan lingkungan eksternal yang fluktuatif sehingga UMKM terbukti menjadi jenis usaha yang menjanjikan dan sulit untuk dimatikan. Rehat & Singgah Coffee merupakan salah satu UMKM yang didirikan pada tahun 2020 dan bergerak di bidang food and beverages, yang berlokasi di kecamatan Cimanggis, Depok. Usaha ini terbilang sudah cukup lama berdiri namun masih belum memiliki pencatatan keuangan yang terstruktur dan dapat dikatakan memiliki manajemen keuangan yang kurang baik. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pendampingan terkait penerapan pencatatan keuangan sederhana yang baik agar usaha ini dapat terus bertahan dan berkembang. Dalam prosesnya tim kami yang terdiri dari empat orang menggunakan beberapa metode pendampingan yaitu metode ceramah, tanya jawab, dan simulasi. Pendampingan ini langsung dilakukan kepada pemilik usaha dan kami juga meminta pemilik usaha untuk melakukan simulasi langsung dalam mencatat keuangan sederhana. Hasilnya, kami berhasil melakukan penyampaian materi dalam metode ceramah, menjawab pertanyaan pemilik usaha dalam metode tanya jawab, dan melakukan simulasi oleh tim serta selanjutnya simulasi oleh pemilik usaha dalam metode simulasi. Pemilik usaha dapat dengan baik melakukan pencatatan keuangan sederhana yang selanjutnya kami rekomendasikan untuk menggunakannya dalam menjalankan usaha tersebut kedepannya.

Abstract

This dedication is based on observations that show that the application of accounting practices can play an important role in the success or failure of a business. On Tidung Island, there are many small and medium industrial business actors (IKM) who depend on natural resources, especially the fisheries sector, for their survival and livelihood and produce fishery products which are sold in local markets and support the rapidly growing tourism sector, but the application of accounting for SMEs is still weak, even though this application is an effective solution for developing a sustainable business model. To answer this, socialization was held on the application of accounting for small and medium industries (IKM) which utilizes environmental resources on Tidung Island as a business prospect using socialization methods and discussion forums so that solutions to problems can be found such as increasing understanding of Accounting for SME participants on Tidung Island, understanding and being able to practicing basic technology for SME entrepreneurs to utilize the tools that are available and showing the positive impact of implementing accounting on business and environmental sustainability, and how this can support long-term business resilience.
