Jurnal Puan Indonesia
Jurnal PUAN INDONESIA (Pengabdian Untuk Anak Negeri) Indonesia merupakan wadah untuk mempublikasikan hasil-hasil Pengabdian Masyarakat dari berbagai disiplin ilmu dalam bentuk Jurnal ilmiah dan Open Accessed System. Jurnal ini diterbitkan oleh Asosiasi Dosen Bahasa dan Sastra se Kepulauan Riau (Idebahasa Kepri). Artikel-artikel yang dipublikasikan di Jurnal Puan Indonesia meliputi hasil-hasil penelitian ilmiah asli, artikel ulasan ilmiah yang bersifat baru, atau komentar atau kritik terhadap tulisan yang ada dimuat di OJS system Jurnal Puan Indonesia maupun dalam terbitan berkala ilmiah lainnya. Jurnal Puan Indonesia menerima manuskrip atau naskah artikel dalam bidang riset terapan dan pengabdian masyarakat yang mencakup bidang keilmuan yang relevan dengan: sosial, kependidikan, sains, keolahragaan, bahasa, bisnis dan ekonomi dari berbagai kalangan akademisi dan peneliti baik nasional maupun internasional. Jurnal PUAN INDONESIA akan menerbitkan jurnal secara bilingual pada bulan Juli dan Januari setiap tahunya. JPI menerapkan kebijakan blind review dimana setiap tulisan yang masuk akan dikirimkan kepada mitra bestari yang terdaftar di JPI. Proses review dapat berlangsung maksimum sampai 30 (tiga puluh) hari kerja dengan alokasi waktu yang diberikan kepada tiap mitra bestari dalam menyelesaikan proses review nya adalah maksimum 14 (empat belas) hari kerja. Jika mitra bestari yang ditunjuk sebelumnya tidak mampu menyelesaikan pekerjaan review-nya dalam tenggat waktu yang ditentukan maka ketua dewan redaksi akan menunjuk mitra bestari pengganti untuk melakukan review tulisan yang dimaksud.

<![CDATA[The spread of drugs in Indonesia, which is increasing every year, is increasing by the large population of Indonesia's population. Indonesia is one of the extraordinary markets for drug mafia to bring these illegal goods into the archipelago. The largest number of drug users in Indonesia from year to year are still dominated by students, in this case students and school children, especially high school and junior high school levels. In the medical world, drugs can be medicinal properties for healing. Drug use in the medical world is legal. So what becomes a policeman is when someone consumes drugs without the supervision of a health professional or doctor. If someone uses drugs without the supervision of a doctor, they think it will be very dangerous because drug users are because drugs are poisonous substances that can cause drug users to always depend or be addicted to these drugs, damage organs, affect a person's decline or make thoughts do not become irrational and damage the brain permanently. The result is even more terrible, which leads to death. The abuse of narcotics and illicit drugs among the younger generation is increasing. The proliferation of deviant behavior of the young generation can endanger the survival of this nation in the future. Because youth, as the generation expected to become the nation's successor, are increasingly vulnerable to being eaten away by nerve-destroying addictive substances. So that the young man could not think clearly. As a result, the generation of hope for a nation that is strong and intelligent will only be a memory. The target for the spread of these drugs is young people or teenagers.]]>

<![CDATA[English is one of the world's official languages. All information is published in English and all progress and events can be known through English. Therefore, it is only natural that the sports world is also obliged to know English. Athletes will find it difficult to adapt if they don't master English. An athlete who is able to speak English so the development of his knowledge will progress more quickly. In Batam, there are a lot of kohai-kohai who don't speak English, so we tried to share a little of our knowledges to invite them how they can master English better and easily. To master English, an athlete needs language proficiency. Therefore we emphasized on our kohai-kohai so that they get used to using English in their daily life. Here we also emphasized on my kohai-kohai that they must be able to distinguish words, because in English words can affect meaning. Besides that, we also emphasized on the kohai-kohai how to pronounce the words, this is very important in mastering English. After that, how to apply those words in a sentence. The procedure for making sentences is no less important than the above. Sentences can also determine the meaning or topic to be conveyed to the interlocutors.]]>

<![CDATA[Writing scientific papers is inseparable from the life of academic source. Scientific writing is not only an obligation and an interest at the college level but also at the school level. The problem that exists when the team did an observation at school, the lack of an atmosphere of writing scientific papers for both teachers and students made the level production of scientific papers in schools very low. Students were preoccupied with theoretical learning and the target of pursuing the test scores as well as the teacher was spent time fulfilling all the learning outcomes in class. Important things that could be used by teachers and students to excel in the field of scientific writing are eliminated. On the other hand, awareness and understanding of plagiarism problems such as the method of citing or writing references was still low. Those were also driven by a lack of writing atmosphere at the school level and a lack of understanding of plagiarism itself. With the various obstacles and phenomena found, the school's target community service team collaborated with multi-disciplinary lecturers by involving students to find solutions to these problems. This activity was carried out at SMK Pertiwi Batam by involving students and teachers. The results of this dedication showed the high enthusiasm of teachers and students as well as the ability to write scientific papers and awareness to prevent plagiarism. This services was held for 6 meetings from January to April 2021. This activity was attended by 30 participants who were held online with media zoom. Each meeting is held for 1.5 hours. The implementation of these services began with the provision of knowledge about scientific papers, methods, techniques, and materials related to classroom action research. Service is also given the legal approach regarding plagiarism.]]>

<![CDATA[The Covid-19 pandemic has decreased the revenue of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), including the laundry business. Marketing efforts to increase revenue have also encountered obstacles, ranging from technical problems to cost constraints. This Community Service is aimed at a laundry in Cipta Asri Batam housing. The purpose of this Community Service activity is to foster laundry SMEs so that they can continue to exist by creating various marketing techniques and innovative products. The creation of superior and innovative products is expected to increase turnover. These superior products will be marketed using social media, given the government's health protocol. This service was organized by a team of lecturers and students from the Management and Information System Programs at the University of Putera Batam. The team from the management program coaches management and marketing, while the team from the information systems guides the field of using informatics systems in improving SME marketing and productivity. The involvement of students in this service activity is educational where students can learn directly from the field but also could provide guidance according to the knowledge that has been obtained. Coaching materials focus on marketing, business management, and the use of informatics systems. The activity was carried out in two meetings attended by the object of the event and the surrounding community. It is hoped that this service activity would be able to add insight for partners and be able to help empower partners in a better direction.]]>

<![CDATA[Perhaps we have heard that wealthy families will bring up rich children because they are used to being rich. Similarly, some consider that a person becomes a businessman because his fathers, grandparents, and most of his family are descendants of businessmen. This opinion is true and hard to deny because of the environment and lifestyle of the family. But, being an entrepreneur is certainly the right of all human beings. The first step we can take to grow our interest in entrepreneurship is to grow the entrepreneurial spirit in us. There are many ways that can be done, for example through formal education, through entrepreneurship seminars, through training, and self-taught. However, it is not so lucky for the people of Tanjung Gundap, because the people of Tanjung Gundap still have a little formal education. Therefore, to foster entrepreneurial interest in the community Tanjung Gundap RT 02 / RW 01 is to provide counseling, coaching to the community about entrepreneurship so that the community can be motivated to have a business so as to earn additional income. Considering the main source of income of tanjung gundap people is from seafood. If there is no catch of fish, then it is likely that no money is taken home to meet the needs of daily life.]]>

<![CDATA[The readiness of elementary school teachers to use online learning media during the COVID-19 pandemic remains very low. Many teachers are unable to optimize various features of online teaching media, such as the use of WhatsApp. This was also experienced by teachers at SD Negeri 10 Pianggu, IX Koto Sungai Lasi sub-district. Not all teachers can make the best use of WhatsApp as an online learning tool. Some teachers are still unaware of the features accessible on WhatsApp that might be utilized as a learning assistance tool. Therefore it is necessary to provide training for teachers at SD Negeri 10 Pianggu, IX Koto Sungai Lasi sub-district in presenting learning materials through the use of WhatsApp. The implementation of service activities is carried out by providing training through lectures, discussions, and practices. Teachers were given information and knowledge about WhatsApp as a means of online learning medium during the Covid-19 pandemic. Based on the training activities that were conducted, the teachers demonstrated an eager attitude and a desire to learn more about various features on Whatsapp. Teachers receive training materials fast and can utilize the WhatsApp group as an effective online teaching tool, so the training generates favorable feedback.]]>

<![CDATA[Vocational High Schools that are located close to each other, but have not synergized in the utilization of existing resources in each school are seen as less efficient. On the other hand, several vocational schools have adequate resources and potential to expand and simultaneously improve education services to the community through various education and training programs. In connection with these conditions, the Directorate of Vocational High Schools has programmed to combine these schools in one management and increase the capacity of Vocational High Schools through various education and training programs under the name Development of Large Vocational Schools. Financial statements function as a tool to analyze financial performance that can provide information about financial position, business, performance and cash flow so that it can be used as a basis for making economic decisions. The object of this service is aimed at the Batam Business School Vocational High School (SMK) around the Sekaran Village, where the majority of Batam Business School Vocational High School (SMK) players do not have financial reports. <![CDATA[Smartphone and computer are commonly tool that people used in any stage of age including children who needs very strict and tight controlling. These technological devices are used for education, business, or social media purposes. In this community service we concern for the children that could lead them to illegal action during using their smartphones or computers such as visiting pornography websites, visiting piracy or dark websites, and lastly surfing illegal websites. Besides positives useful things of the internet technology, Accessing internet without control and supervision has negative risk too, users will have high possibility chances to access or viewing an adult content or pornography websites by their own purpose or just in coincidence moments. The objective of this program is to bring awareness and transfer the knowledge to all participant (parents) technically about setting up smartphones and computer’s features to optimize the parent controlling. Parents will be teaching how to set up the parental feature in their children account, tracing the websites had visited by their teenage children, activate feture to block application, and limits their access to overused application. At the end of this community service will be able to perform their parental control of their teenagers’ children and avoid them to access the pornography or adult content.]]>

<![CDATA[The implementation of community service activities that will be carried out is in the form of fostering the preparation of financial reports and marketing empowerment based on e-commerce for small and medium-sized enterprises of Tahu Tempe. Based on the results of interviews in the field, this Mandiri Garbage Bank UMKM has problems in marketing production and financial records. The methods used in coaching the SME Tahu Tempe that will be provided are survey methods, The results of the SME service feel that there is still a need for adjustments to the preparation of financial statements with financial accounting standards for entities without public accountability, there has been a separation of financial reports that have been commonly prepared by SMEs through business profits and personal cash and the availability of SME social media pages that are run by participants and understand it. about what to do with the page to maximize sales.]]>

<![CDATA[The development of soft skills at the Association of Early Childhood Educators and Education Personnel in Batam City District can be fulfilled through a Multimedia learning model based on Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The training for developing multimedia learning media based on Information and Communication Technology aims to provide skills in making interesting multimedia learning media in a relatively easy way. The method applied in this activity is the Method of Presentation, Demonstration and Practice. Presentation method is used for software introduction using Microsoft Powerpoint 2016. Demonstration method regarding program operation and Practice Method, namely making learning media directly by participants according to their respective subjects by utilizing these programs. The results of this study are: First, the training provides several materials related to efforts to improve the quality of learning by providing knowledge about the use of the Powerpoint Program to create interactive games as an attractive and interactive ICT-based multimedia learning media, Second, the material presented is acceptable, digestible, and well understood by the participants, Third, the activity went smoothly, on time and as expected.]]>
