Abstract

Indonesia is the main coconut-producing country in the world. One of the coconut derivative export products is copra. In 2019, the volume of Indonesian copra exports was 154 thousand tonnes, then fell to 107 thousand tonnes in 2020 and decreased to 39 thousand tonnes in 2021. This research will identify the competitiveness and specialization index of the Indonesian copra trade. The data used in this research is secondary data in the form of time series (cross-section) from 2017 to 2021. The data was analyzed using Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) analysis and the Trade Specialization Index (TSI). The data processing was carried out using the Microsoft Excel 2019 program. The research results explain that the RCA value of the Indonesian Copra Commodity in 2017-2021 is between 28.16 and 48.80, with an average RCA of 41.55. RCA >1 means that Indonesian copra commodities have high competitiveness in the international market. And higher than the RCA countries of Malaysia, India and Guatemala. Indonesia's TSI during the 2017-2021 period was 0.97, and This indicates that the Indonesian copra commodity has strong competitiveness as an exporter of copra commodities.

Abstract

This article attempts to delve deeper into the role and function of a surveyor in assessing a healthcare-related element. Through accreditation bodies, a surveyor is expected to be more proactive in carrying out their role and functions. This article employs a literature review by attempting to distill insights from various studies and expert opinions, as well as guidelines published by the Ministry of Health. Through this article, an illustration and a thought on how healthcare equipment in hospitals should be treated are conveyed. As a conclusion from this article, understanding healthcare equipment is crucial, and the role of a surveyor should be optimized. The surveyor's role as a companion and evaluator in this context becomes an essential element in ensuring innovation and the highest standards in healthcare equipment management in hospitals.

Abstract

World Patient Safety Day 2023 underscores the significance of patient engagement, aligning with the principles advocated by Don Berwick. This article underscores the importance of involving patients and their families in healthcare services, with a focus on effective communication, cultural differences, varied levels of patient engagement, access to information, privacy, and resource constraints. The concept of "Person-Centered Care" epitomizes the effort to engage patients in making decisions about their care, supported by theories and expert models such as the Patient Engagement Model and the Shared DecisionMaking Approach. To overcome the barriers to patient engagement, it is essential to provide training for medical staff, foster cultural awareness, ensure secure technology, and allocate resources judiciously. These measures will enhance the quality of care, safety, satisfaction, emotional support, and the efficiency of long-term care management. Patient and family engagement forms the cornerstone of quality and holistic healthcare in an increasingly complex healthcare landscape.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an influence of asymmetric information and earnings management on cost of equity. The total samples on this research are 241 that are determined using the purposive sampling method at manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia stock exchange in 2015 to 2017. The analysis used is panel data regression. The findings indicate that asymmetric information affected the cost of equity, whereas earnings management had no effect on the cost of equity. The lack of impact from earnings management is due to the bias in investor perspectives on financial statements, where they believe the reported numbers are genuine and unaltered, without verifying whether a company employs earnings management practices or not.

Abstract

Nanoemulsions are thermodynamically or kinetically stable compared to conventional emulsions, and the particle size of nanoemulsions is around 5-200 nm. Until now, there has been no research comparing propylene glycol and PEG 400 cosurfactants for nanoemulsions, so it needs to be investigated. Laboratory experimental research with cosurfactant propylene glycol and PEG 400 Formula 1 and Formula 2 were repeated three times (n = 3) for each nanoemulsion formula. Parameters of physical properties (organoleptic, viscosity, particle size, index polydispersity) and chemical properties (pH). Evaluated and analyzed, <0.05 is considered significant. The results of formula 1 and formula 2 obtained the same clear organoleptic properties. The average particle size with cosurfactant propylene glycol was 10.41 ± 0.14 nm and PEG 400 was 12.32 ± 0.38 nm (p <0.05). The average viscosity, polydispersity index, and pH of propylene glycol were 8.72 ± 1.12; 0.03±0.02; 4.20 ± 0.04; and PEG 11.26 ± 1.80; 0.39 ± 0.58; 4.03±0.03. This shows that the type of cosurfactant has an effect on the size of the nanoemulsion particles.

The genre of confessional poetry is defined by the poet's personal and frequently extremely emotional experiences. It first appeared in the middle of the 20th century and is characterised by a personal tone and the first-person point of view. This paper shall examine the confessional elements in the poetry of two prominent Indian poets, Anita Nair and Kamala Das, through a feminist and psychoanalytic perspective. In order to examine themes of love, relationships, and identity in their poetry, Nair and Das use personal experiences, emotions, and thoughts in their poems. The paper will examine the intricate power relationships between men and women underlying Nair and Das' poetry. The paper will emphasise the complex intersection of gender, power, and personal experience that underlies Anita Nair's and Kamala Das's poetry through an analysis of the confessional elements in their works.
