Abstract

This research aims to examine and analyze the implications of inconsistent child age limits across various legislations in Indonesia on legal certainty and child protection. The research methodology includes identifying and comparing child age limits in legislation, as well as analyzing the impact of this inconsistency on legal certainty and the implementation of child protection. The findings indicate that divergent age limits in legislation result in uneven legal protection and create legal uncertainty. Moreover, this inconsistency affects daily legal practices by law enforcement officials, including judges and lawyers. The study recommends harmonizing child age limits across legislations to enhance legal certainty and the effectiveness of child protection in Indonesia. Consequently, it is hoped that every child can grow and develop in a safe and supportive environment.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of children's development on the publication of their identities through social media and the application of Pasal 19 Undang-undang Sistem Peradilan Pidana Anak in the era of digitalization. Social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok have become integral parts of daily life for children and adolescents, providing avenues for social interaction and exploration. However, with the increased use of social media, children also face serious risks to their privacy and identity. Threats include identity theft, cyberbullying, and exposure to harmful content. The discussion covers the psychological impacts of unsupervised social media use, such as social pressure and cyberbullying. Protecting children's identities through digital safety education and stringent regulatory implementation is crucial to creating a safe online environment that supports optimal child development, in accordance with the Child Protection Law in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of risk-taking behavior on the commitment to organizational change among family planning extension workers and to examine the mediating role of task complexity in this relationship. The research was conducted among family planning extension workers in Padang City, West Sumatra Province. The final sample consisted of seventy-seven family planning extension workers who were selected randomly. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results indicate that risk-taking behavior has a positive and significant effect on the commitment to organizational change among family planning extension workers. Additionally, task complexity was found to partially mediate the relationship between risk-taking behavior and commitment to organizational change. Higher levels of risk-taking behavior were associated with greater commitment to organizational change, with task complexity serving as a mediating variable. The implications of this study suggest the need to enhance risk-taking behavior and adaptation skills among family planning extension workers in order to address increasingly complex tasks and to foster their commitment to organizational change.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of work discipline, teamwork and compensation on employee performance in manufacturing companies. The research method used is descriptive using a questionnaire as a data collection instrument. For data analysis using classical assumption tests, multiple regression analysis and hypothesis testing. The research findings indicate that work discipline (X1), teamwork (X2), and compensation (X3) have a positive and significant impact on employee performance when considered simultaneously. This suggests that improving these three factors together can substantially enhance overall employee performance. Additionally, the study reveals that each factor—work discipline, teamwork, and compensation individually contributes a significant positive effect on employee performance. This highlights the importance of focusing on each of these areas to achieve optimal performance from employees.

Abstract

Public health is a critical component of national development and a fundamental humanright, as stated in the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. Law Number 17 of2023 on Health categorizes drugs into two main types: prescription and non-prescription. In Indonesia, over-the-counter and limited over-the-counter drugs arefrequently sold in small shops and grocery stores. This practice stems from a lack ofpublic awareness regarding regulations governing pharmaceutical service locations, theauthority of pharmaceutical personnel, and standardized distribution channels, compounded by insufficient government oversight. This study aims to conduct a juridicalanalysis of the sale of over-the-counter and limited over-the-counter drugs in smallshops and grocery stores based on the Health Act. The research employed a normativejuridical approach. Article 145 of Law No. 17 of 2023 on Health mandates that over-the-counter and limited over-the-counter drugs must be sourced from pharmaceuticalservice facilities or other authorized outlets, such as hypermarkets, supermarkets, and andminimarkets. Furthermore, Article 436 imposes a criminal penalty of up to IDR200.000.000 on individuals without the proper authority and expertise in pharmaceuticalservices, while Article 439 stipulates imprisonment of up to 5 years or a maximum fineof IDR 500.000.000. Effective law enforcement and supervision by the National Agencyof Drug and Food Control (BPOM), alongside consumer protection, are essential inmaintaining the quality and safety of medications. Although oversight in small shops andgrocery stores is limited, the existing regulatory framework aims to mitigate risks andensure that the drugs in circulation adhere to safety and quality standards.

Abstract

This study aims to identify variables that affect profitability in insurance companies listed in Indonesia. The addition of reinsurance variable as an independent variable is the novelty part of this research. The research method involves collecting data from 20 insurance companies over a 6-year period (2017-2022) and applying data processing analysis using panel data regression analysis techniques. The results found that loss ratio has a positive impact on ROA, while tangibility and managerial efficiency have a negative impact on ROA. In addition, age, leverage, liquidity, size, GDP growth, inflation, premium growth and reinsurance have no significant effect on ROA. The implication for financial managers is to choose the best way to utilize assets in order to achieve business goals. This research emphasizes the importance of loss ratio, managerial efficiency, & asset tangibility for investors when choosing investment opportunities in insurance companies.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of testimonials on shopping decisions among Shopee app users in Mataram City. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, the research integrates both quantitative and qualitative elements to enhance the understanding of the investigated issues. Quantitative methods involve performing t-tests and f-tests on a sample of 140 Shopee users in Mataram City. The results reveal that both testimonials concerning product quality and those regarding service quality are significant determinants of purchasing decisions. Specifically, testimonials related to product quality significantly influence purchasing decisions, as evidenced by a t-test value of 4.279, which exceeds the t-table value of 1.65589, thereby supporting H1. Similarly, testimonials regarding service quality also impact purchasing decisions, with a t-test value of 6.823 surpassing the t-table value of 1.65589, thus supporting H2. The f-test further confirms that testimonials about both product quality and service quality collectively affect purchasing decisions, with the significance value of 0.000 being less than the p-value of 0.05, thereby validating H3. Therefore, explanatory analysis underscores that testimonials can influence purchasing decisions due to the paramount importance of product quality assessments and service quality evaluations.
