Abstract

This research aims to describe the Educational Management Strategy to Increase Students' Interest in Reading at State Primary School 145 Palembang. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection tools use documentation, interviews, observation and literature review. Data analysis uses descriptive analysis. The results of the research show that the management strategy for increasing students' interest in reading at SD Negeri 145 Palembang is implemented by planning and formulating programs to increase students' interest in reading, reading infrastructure such as libraries and reading corners at SD Negeri 145 Palembang. The obstacles faced are related to the fulfillment of library and corner facilities. school reading, student interests and training and workshops related to library management and school reading corners. The solution taken was to invite the school committee to take an active role and encourage all school members to take part in activities to increase students' reading interest at SD Negeri 145 Palembang.

Abstract

This research examines the role of teachers in implementing a project to strengthen students' Pancasila profiles towards fostering a positive culture at SD Negeri 241 Palembang. The research aims to explore how teachers contribute to shaping students' understanding and realization of Pancasila values, thus encouraging the creation of a positive cultural environment in schools. Through qualitative methods, including interviews and observations, this research examines teachers' strategies, the challenges they face, and their impact on student attitudes and behavior. The findings show that teachers play an important role in instilling Pancasila values, influencing students' cultural perceptions, and fostering a conducive learning atmosphere in line with national ethos and moral values. This research underlines the importance of teacher involvement in character education and its implications in creating a harmonious school environment that is rooted in Indonesian cultural values.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the role of school principals in increasing teacher work motivation, the obstacles faced by school principals in increasing teacher work motivation and solutions in overcoming these obstacles. The research method used is a qualitative research method, with the research location at SD Negeri 146 Palembang, South Sumatra. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation, with data analysis techniques in the form of data reduction, data presentation/display, and conclusions. The results obtained in this research indicate that the role of the principal as a leader in optimizing teacher performance is good, because several indicators include paying attention to a neat and clean work environment, providing seminars/training meetings, discipline, encouragement, rewards, as well as providing resources or facilities. The infrastructure is quite good, while the teacher's work motivation is quite good, because several indicators are: the teacher's responsibility in carrying out the task, the feeling of joy at work, satisfaction at work, the existence of needs that must be met, enthusiasm for work, the joy of receiving praise, encouragement from superiors, interpersonal relationships and a good work environment.

Abstract

Reading is one of the determining factors for educational success in a school. Reading ability is students' ability to understand the texts they read. One factor that influences this ability is interest in reading. To increase students' interest in reading, there needs to be a role for quality libraries, especially school libraries. This study aims to examine the role of the library in increasing students' reading interest at SD Islam Khalifah Annizam Palembang. Reading interest is a crucial aspect of students' academic and intellectual development. Using a descriptive qualitative research method with a case study approach, data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the school library plays a significant role in enhancing students' reading interest. Various library programs such as scheduled reading times, storytelling activities, and a diverse and interesting book collection have successfully captured students' attention and increased their reading frequency. Additionally, support from teachers and parents also plays a role in creating a conducive environment for developing reading interest. The research results show that students' interest in reading is quite good, which can be seen from the programs and activities implemented by the library to increase their interest in reading. However, the role of libraries is not yet fully effective in increasing students' interest in reading, so improvements and optimization of library programs and activities are needed. In conclusion, the school library plays an essential role in increasing students' reading interest and should be continuously developed with innovative programs to support their academic achievement.

Abstract

This study addresses the following questions: 1) what is the level of job satisfaction and employee performance at PT. Bintang Mas Pusaka? 2) How does job satisfaction affect employee performance at PT. Bintang Mas Pusaka? The research aims to: 1) Identify and describe job satisfaction and employee performance at PT. Bintang Mas Pusaka, and 2) Analyze the impact of job satisfaction on employee performance at the company. This is an associative study involving a population of 26 employees, with the entire population sampled using a saturated sampling method. Data for the research were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and observations, encompassing both primary and secondary sources. The research results indicate that job satisfaction has a significant positive impact on employee performance at PT. Bintang Mas Pusaka Lubuklinggau. This is evidenced by a t-test value of 11.894, which is substantially higher than the t-table value of 1.706, with a significance level of 0.000, which is less than α 0.05. This suggests that job satisfaction consistently and significantly influences the improvement of employee performance. Furthermore, the analysis reveals that the R Square value is 0.849 or 84.9%, indicating that nearly 85% of the variation in employee performance at the company can be explained by job satisfaction. Meanwhile, the remaining 15.1% of performance variation is influenced by factors not examined in this study. In other words, job satisfaction is a primary predictor contributing to employee performance, although other variables also play an important role.

Abstract

This research study examines the relationship between accounting education, professional certification, ethical decision-making, and audit quality in the manufacturing sector. The study focuses on five manufacturing companies located in West Java, Indonesia. The primary objective is to investigate how accounting education, professional certification, and ethical decision-making influence audit quality in these companies. A quantitative research design was used, and data were collected through structured questionnaires given to accounting and audit professionals. The findings show a positive correlation between accounting education, professional certification, ethical decision-making, and audit quality. Further regression analysis revealed that these factors collectively predict audit quality in manufacturing companies. This study highlights the importance of continuous education, professional certification, and ethical behavior in enhancing audit quality. The findings contribute to the existing literature and offer valuable insights for manufacturing companies aiming to improve their accounting and auditing practices.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of the Anak Negeri scholarship program implemented by the Madani Welfare Foundation in Central Kalimantan. This program is designed to provide educational assistance to underprivileged children. This study is a field research with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is an interactive data analysis technique that includes three main components: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that this scholarship program has succeeded in increasing access to education for underprivileged children, and zakat, infak, and alms funds have been distributed by LAZ YAKESMA through the Anak Negeri scholarship program. However, several obstacles were found in the implementation of the program, such as limited funds and lack of socialization to the community. Recommendations to improve the effectiveness of the program have been given, including increasing cooperation with the government and private sector, as well as developing a better monitoring and evaluation system. These findings are expected to be a reference for foundation managers and other stakeholders in efforts to improve educational welfare in Central Kalimantan.

Abstract

This thesis discusses the framing by producers in the production process of a TV program. The first problem statement is about how the production process of the "Pentas Ceria" program by LPPL TV Peduli is conducted. The second problem statement focuses on how the producers frame the "Pentas Ceria" program by LPPL TV Peduli. The research aims to understand the production process of the "Pentas Ceria" program by LPPL TV Peduli and to determine the framing by producers in the program. The research methodology used is qualitative. The data sources include the crew of LPPL TV Peduli in Parepare for the "Pentas Ceria" program (primary data) and documents, books, and journals (secondary data). The research instruments are the researchers themselves, and the data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation of interview guides and document study guides. The study also employs framing theory and agenda-setting theory. The research results indicate that the production process involves three stages in creating the "Pentas Ceria" program by TV Peduli in Parepare. These stages are pre-production, which includes agenda and idea generation; production, which involves shooting and editing; and post-production, which includes airing, streaming, and program evaluation. Furthermore, the producers' framing utilizes various types of framing, including Robert Entman's framing schema, which employs forms and schemas that can make a program more complex.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of compensation on the level of work engagement among millennial employees. The research method used is quantitative, employing regression analysis and mediation testing using Process Macro Hayes in IBM SPSS. The study population comprises all millennial employees working in various companies in the Jakarta area, selected due to their significant presence in the current workforce and unique characteristics that influence work engagement. The sample was collected using purposive sampling technique with a total of 100 respondents, deemed representative of the millennial employee population in Jakarta. The results indicate that compensation has a positive and significant impact on work engagement among millennial employees. This finding suggests that increased compensation is correlated with higher work engagement. Mediation testing also reveals that job satisfaction mediates the relationship between compensation and work engagement, where adequate compensation enhances job satisfaction, which in turn boosts work engagement. Overall, this study highlights the importance of effective and fair compensation policies in enhancing motivation and work engagement among millennial employees. Employees who feel they receive fair and adequate compensation tend to be more engaged in their work, ultimately contributing to improved organizational performance.

Abstract

Technological advancements have ushered in socio-cultural transformations, altering behavioral patterns and social and cultural elements within society and influencing the evolution of social systems and structures. Various factors, including the proliferation of digital technologies, drive these changes. The sophistication of digital technologies in today's social media landscape has facilitated the rapid and widespread dissemination of information to the public. However, this ease of access has also triggered behavioral shifts among digital users, leading to irresponsible social media usage. Misinformation (hoaxes) and cyberbullying have become prevalent, tarnishing Indonesia's reputation as a Southeast Asian nation with a notoriously impolite online community. In this digital era, digital citizens must cultivate greater discernment and responsibility in social media interactions, harnessing its potential as a platform for sharing information, insights, and knowledge. This shift is crucial to prevent society from becoming ensnared by the very technology it has created.
