Abstract

The development of Frans Seda Airport land addition as a strategic tourism and economic door is faced with a conflict. The problems that occur are caused by the transfer of community agrarian land that is converted by the government. The transfer of land ownership or land chosen by the community was not in line with the cost of land compensation that was provided, causing conflict escalation. The purpose of this research is to describe the conflict resolution of Frans Seda Airport Development in Sikka Regency to realize national security. The method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach through literature study. Based on the results of the research, it can be understood that the phenomenon of land conversion that occurs in Sikka Regency as a result of the airport development policy has several social impacts. The impacts are the shift of agrarian land into additional land for the airport, the loss of agricultural land as a source of livelihood for the surrounding community, the emergence of pro and contra attitudes in the community, and the emergence of social conflicts. The social conflicts are between the pro and con communities (horizontal conflict), and the contra communities, and the Sikka regional government (vertical conflict). Peace efforts were made by both government and non-government institutions. The Sikka Regional Government made persuasive efforts to mediate the conflicting parties. Litigation as a resolution is then initiated with dialogue, negotiation, and individual approaches, as well as maximizing compensation and community empowerment. Resolution orientation to conflict transformation is dominant in mediating conflicts. It is hoped that this research will contribute to encouraging functional groups to formulate a cross-sectoral, integrated, and coordinated agrarian conflict resolution mechanism for the development of public interests.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of work engagement and employee creativity in mediating the influence of job crafting on task performance in the Bapenda of West Java Province. Data was collected using a questionnaire distributed online to employees at CPPD Bapenda offices in five regions in West Java. A total of 267 respondents participated in filling out the questionnaire, which was distributed via Google Form by selecting samples using proportionate stratified random sampling, and then the data was processed using the structural equation modelling (SEM) approach with the partial least squares (PLS) method. The research results found that job crafting does not have a positive effect on task performance, but it needs a mediating role in work engagement. The role of employee creativity arises when work engagement exists as a variable that mediates the influence of job crafting on employee creativity, and work engagement acts as a variable that encourages employee creativity as a variable that mediates its influence on task performance. Future research is expected to expand testing on variables that encourage job crafting to influence employee creativity and task performance. Apart from that, it is necessary to examine other variables that influence task performance in other public and private sectors.

Abstract

The state's defense plays a central role in ensuring the continuity of society, nation, and state. Threats arising from social organizations that diverge from Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution, using the freedom of association and assembly to replace the foundational principles of Pancasila, have prompted the President to issue Government Regulation in Lieu of Law Number 2 of 2017 concerning Amendments to Law Number 17 of 2013 concerning Social Organizations (Perppu Ormas). The research method used is normative legal research, employing a qualitative approach where data is gathered in the form of descriptions focusing on Perppu Ormas. From a national defense perspective, the issuance of Perppu Ormas aims to strengthen state stability by addressing threats such as terrorism, radicalism, social conflicts, and foreign influences that potentially undermine national sovereignty. This effort also serves as a means to maintain political balance and support the positive role of social organizations in bolstering national defense.

Abstract

DKI Jakarta, West Java, and Banten are the provinces that were the epicenter of covid 19. Every individual at that time had the potential to be exposed. The research approach is qualitative with a constructivist paradigm. The research method is descriptive with purposive data collection. The results showed that stakeholders perform effective management of externalization-internalization communication, namely instructions from the central government can be implemented with maximum coordination. The chieftain carried out communication management to legitimize socialization, namely emphasizing that COVID-19 must be overcome by treating the ancestral heritage and following the interacting instructions issued by the government. Communication management institutionalization of objectification is performed, namely, the community must obey the rules and traditional culture and believe in the Almighty. The leaders of the outer Badui conduct socialization of Communication Management, which provides input and warnings to the local community to maintain the health of their respective families.

Terrorism is a serious threat faced by countries and nations, including Indonesia. Terrorism is considered a crime against humanity, an international crime that endangers world security and peace, and harms the welfare of society. One of the efforts to overcome the threat of terrorism is through the implementation of the new Criminal Code (KUHP) which was formalized through Law Number 1 Year 2023. This new Criminal Code replaces the old Criminal Code that has been in effect since the Dutch East Indies colonial period. This study aims to analyze the role of the new Criminal Code in efforts to eradicate criminal acts of terrorism in Indonesia. The research method used is legal research with a normative juridical approach, with data collection techniques through literature studies. Data analysis is conducted qualitatively, involving the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The result shows that the new Criminal Code has an important role in the effort to eradicate terrorism in Indonesia. The replacement of the old Criminal Code with the new one includes a more comprehensive regulation of the crime of terrorism and in accordance with the demands of modern times, such as providing clearer and more complete definitions, more severe criminal penalties, and firmer and clearer provisions on the prevention of criminal acts. Therefore, the New Criminal Code can be an effective instrument in the effort to eradicate terrorism in Indonesia
